The staff were consistently friendly, polite, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed, whether it was answering questions, their warm attitude made the stay feel comfortable and welcoming. The location is also excellent, especially for someone visiting Hangzhou for the first time. Many popular spots are easy to reach, and the area around the hotel feels convenient and safe. It was a great starting point for exploring the city. Overall, my three-night stay was very pleasant. The combination of great service, helpful staff, and a prime location made it a wonderful choice. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers."

"Hotel location: The hotel is a 10-minute walk from West Lake, making it convenient for subway and bus access. There are plenty of dining options and shopping opportunities nearby. Hotel breakfast: The breakfast service hours are long, and the selection is incredibly rich, offering a variety of Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisines. Front desk service: The staff were warm, attentive, and proactively upgraded my room. Room service: The staff were friendly and promptly responded to guest requests. Overall, I had a good impression of this hotel. It prominently features a Marco Polo theme. The only drawback is that the hotel has been open for a while, and the hardware facilities are a bit dated."

"Even though it's an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. What really stands out is how clean and quiet it is, ensuring I got a fantastic night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and always offered a warm greeting. A special mention goes to the hotel's laundry room; the detergent dispenser was spotless! This level of cleanliness really highlighted the hotel's quality compared to others. They contacted me before check-in to confirm my arrival time and thoughtfully had the AC running in my room already. Such a considerate gesture! Service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was wonderfully generous. The location is fantastic – a mere 5-minute walk to the night market, and even closer to West Lake's iconic Broken Bridge. Getting to Hangzhou East Railway Station is incredibly convenient too, with a subway station right at the hotel entrance – just 5 stops, approximately 21 minutes. This was, without a doubt, the most satisfying hotel of my trip. In fact, it was so comfortable that I decided to extend my stay in Hangzhou by an extra day just to enjoy it a bit longer!"

"We had a comfortable and pleasant stay for 2 nights here. The location of the hotel is close to Hefang Ancient Street and West Lake. Very near to a metro station too. The bed is very comfortable and we had Xiao Du in the room to help us turn on/off the tv snd lights. Liu Shen is very helpful, polite and efficient in our check-in and check-out. He helped us booked a car to Wuzhen and negotiated the fare on our behalf which we really appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hangzhou."

Nestled right on the West Lake shore, it's just a few minutes' walk from the West Lake scenic area, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of West Lake's changing seasons and its rich cultural and artistic ambiance. The surrounding area offers excellent public transport links, with various metro and bus lines, making travel incredibly convenient. Furthermore, the hotel's vicinity provides a wealth of amenities, including diverse dining and shopping options, offering great convenience for guests. It truly stands out as an excellent accommodation choice for both business trips and leisure travel. However, despite the hotel's distinct geographical advantages, both its overall service level and hardware facilities still present significant room for improvement in several aspects. Firstly, the hotel's hygiene management is subpar, noticeably impacting the guest experience. While daily room cleaning is performed routinely, it often appears to be superficial, lacking the thorough and detailed cleaning measures expected. Issues with bathroom cleanliness are particularly prominent. Many guests have reported that toilets and sinks are not deeply cleaned, stains frequently remain in bathroom corners and on anti-slip mats, and floor cleaning is often inadequate. This level of hygiene impacts guests' comfort and sense of security, consequently lowering the hotel's overall rating. Secondly, while the service staff generally maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, proactively offering assistance that is helpful to guests. However, some frontline employees' over-eagerness occasionally verges on interference, particularly their excessive inquiry into personal privacy and itinerary details, which has left some guests feeling uncomfortable or even startled. Exceptional hotel service should achieve a balance between warm hospitality and respect for personal space, avoiding any undue pressure on guests. Zhongshan Xizi Hotel could improve staff service training to not only enhance service skills but also place greater emphasis on protecting guest privacy, ensuring that service is both considerate and non-intrusive. Thirdly, the hotel's breakfast selection is quite limited and fails to cater to diverse preferences. The breakfast menu primarily features Chinese congee and simple pastries, lacking variety. This has left some guests, who seek a more abundant and flavorful breakfast, feeling disappointed. The seating in the breakfast restaurant is rather dense, leading to overcrowding during peak hours and preventing a comfortable dining environment. If the hotel could expand the variety of dishes, offer more diverse flavors, and smartly adjust the seating layout, it would significantly improve the overall breakfast quality and guest satisfaction. Fourthly, several aspects of the hotel's hardware facilities are in urgent need of an upgrade. The elevators are relatively slow, particularly during peak morning and evening hours, forcing guests to queue and wait for considerable periods. Many travelers with significant luggage find the inefficient elevator service quite inconvenient. Increasing the number of elevators and implementing technical improvements would enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall guest flow. Furthermore, the limited number of food delivery robots introduced by the hotel struggles to meet meal delivery demands during peak times, resulting in guests waiting a long time to receive their food, which negatively impacts their dining experience. Deploying more robots or supplementing with human delivery would significantly boost delivery speed and efficiency. Fifthly, the hotel provides a self-service laundry room, which theoretically offers significant convenience for long-stay or independent travelers. Equipped with user-friendly washing machines and dryers, it's suitable for guests with a small amount of clothing to do their own laundry. However, in reality, the laundry room's management is disorganized, lacking clear usage instructions and staff supervision, which frequently leads to conflicts among guests. Even more concerning, hotel staff sometimes open washing machines and dryers that are currently in use, without any prior notification to guests. This action severely infringes upon guests' privacy and their right to use the facilities. Laundry is a personal and private activity, and the hotel should respect guests' privacy by ensuring any equipment checks adhere to clear regulations and notification protocols. In summary, Zhongshan Xizi Hotel possesses notable strengths regarding its prime location and certain service aspects, with staff generally demonstrating a good attitude. However, substantial room for improvement exists across many crucial details, including the depth of cleanliness, breakfast variety, hardware facilities (especially elevator and meal delivery efficiency), as well as laundry room management and privacy protection. Should the hotel implement meaningful improvements to address these shortcomings in the future, it would significantly enhance guest satisfaction and its reputation, thereby solidifying its position as a more popular and high-quality accommodation option in Hangzhou's West Lake tourist area."

"It's made of 2 seperate building. Location is very near west lake and the famed pastry shop zhiweiguan. Less than 10 mins walk from the metro line 1 ,longxiaoqiao station exit C1. Transportation option for bus is also feasible with nearby bus stop. RMB 2 per trip. Inner and outer west lake loop is a good option if you don't wish to walk whole day. Walking distance to wulin night market. Room is spacious with daybed on side and heater on standby. Lucky room did not have any cigarettes smell. Bed room slippers is thick and comfy too."

"Absolutely delightful! We stayed here for 2 memorable nights. Right from the moment we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff who immediately made us feel very much at home. The staff were attentive and patient. They had even gotten their handyman to take a look at our luggage wheel which got damaged during the flight Check-in was really easy and hassle-free. We were very fortunate to get an upgrade to our booked accommodation and got a bigger room with same lake view. Our room was clean and very quiet and heard no noise at all. Standard amenities were available in the room with complementary mineral water (4 bottles) and soft drinks (coke, sprite). Do book a room with lake view as the view is incredible! We can see the lake from our room sitting on the nice sofa which is placed next to the window. Breakfast was at the nice revolving restaurant at the 20th floor. Good variety of Chinese local food with more limited choices of western salad and Japanese sushi. The ceiling to floor glass window offers an unparalleled view of West Lake. No frets if cannot get a seat with lake view as sooner than later that West Lake comes into view after a while. Check-out process was just as simple. We would LOVE to come back to stay with 友好饭店 when we come back next time!"

"This is a decent, no-frills hotel located right inside the airport terminal, conveniently close to all concourses. It's well-balanced in all aspects, and the front desk service is quite thoughtful. The dining options and breakfast aren't a strong point, but they do offer both Chinese and Western dishes. Thankfully, breakfast includes hot options like noodles, rice vermicelli, and wontons. There's also a higher-tier Hyatt right across the way. I'd suggest adding a shoehorn to the in-room amenities. The air conditioning occasionally makes a metallic clanging sound, and the elevator can be a bit warm."

"## 1. Location & Transportation The hotel is housed in Hangzhou's iconic 'Big Golden Ball' landmark (Raffles City), boasting unparalleled panoramic views of the Qiantang River! It's a mere 5-minute walk to Citizen Center Station on Metro Line 4, a 15-minute taxi ride to West Lake, and 20 minutes to Hangzhou East Railway Station. With Raffles City and MixC Mall right next door, it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. However, traffic can get quite heavy around the area during evening rush hour, so taking the metro is highly advisable. ## 2. Room Facilities & Hygiene I stayed in a River View King Room this time. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the Olympic Sports Center, and the night view was absolutely breathtaking! The facilities, while not brand new, are exceptionally well-maintained: the mattress was perfectly comfortable – neither too soft nor too firm, there was a separate bathtub and shower, and the toiletries were Byredo's 'Mojave Ghost' (a very sophisticated scent). Hygiene was impeccable, with attention to every detail – even the glass windows were spotless, not a single fingerprint in sight."
