"Our 2nd hotel stay this trip. All is good as expected for all good hotels. Room were good, beds had super single X2. Cleanliness were tip top. No breakfast. Food hunt is easy. Take Didi to anywhere for 1km above to enjoy your stay. We had a few rides to food locale didn't regret it. Walking to West Lake was a breeze, easy and were all within walking distance. Many retailers and food can be found around this hotel."

"Even though it's an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. What really stands out is how clean and quiet it is, ensuring I got a fantastic night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and always offered a warm greeting. A special mention goes to the hotel's laundry room; the detergent dispenser was spotless! This level of cleanliness really highlighted the hotel's quality compared to others. They contacted me before check-in to confirm my arrival time and thoughtfully had the AC running in my room already. Such a considerate gesture! Service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was wonderfully generous. The location is fantastic – a mere 5-minute walk to the night market, and even closer to West Lake's iconic Broken Bridge. Getting to Hangzhou East Railway Station is incredibly convenient too, with a subway station right at the hotel entrance – just 5 stops, approximately 21 minutes. This was, without a doubt, the most satisfying hotel of my trip. In fact, it was so comfortable that I decided to extend my stay in Hangzhou by an extra day just to enjoy it a bit longer!"

Nestled right on the West Lake shore, it's just a few minutes' walk from the West Lake scenic area, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of West Lake's changing seasons and its rich cultural and artistic ambiance. The surrounding area offers excellent public transport links, with various metro and bus lines, making travel incredibly convenient. Furthermore, the hotel's vicinity provides a wealth of amenities, including diverse dining and shopping options, offering great convenience for guests. It truly stands out as an excellent accommodation choice for both business trips and leisure travel. However, despite the hotel's distinct geographical advantages, both its overall service level and hardware facilities still present significant room for improvement in several aspects. Firstly, the hotel's hygiene management is subpar, noticeably impacting the guest experience. While daily room cleaning is performed routinely, it often appears to be superficial, lacking the thorough and detailed cleaning measures expected. Issues with bathroom cleanliness are particularly prominent. Many guests have reported that toilets and sinks are not deeply cleaned, stains frequently remain in bathroom corners and on anti-slip mats, and floor cleaning is often inadequate. This level of hygiene impacts guests' comfort and sense of security, consequently lowering the hotel's overall rating. Secondly, while the service staff generally maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, proactively offering assistance that is helpful to guests. However, some frontline employees' over-eagerness occasionally verges on interference, particularly their excessive inquiry into personal privacy and itinerary details, which has left some guests feeling uncomfortable or even startled. Exceptional hotel service should achieve a balance between warm hospitality and respect for personal space, avoiding any undue pressure on guests. Zhongshan Xizi Hotel could improve staff service training to not only enhance service skills but also place greater emphasis on protecting guest privacy, ensuring that service is both considerate and non-intrusive. Thirdly, the hotel's breakfast selection is quite limited and fails to cater to diverse preferences. The breakfast menu primarily features Chinese congee and simple pastries, lacking variety. This has left some guests, who seek a more abundant and flavorful breakfast, feeling disappointed. The seating in the breakfast restaurant is rather dense, leading to overcrowding during peak hours and preventing a comfortable dining environment. If the hotel could expand the variety of dishes, offer more diverse flavors, and smartly adjust the seating layout, it would significantly improve the overall breakfast quality and guest satisfaction. Fourthly, several aspects of the hotel's hardware facilities are in urgent need of an upgrade. The elevators are relatively slow, particularly during peak morning and evening hours, forcing guests to queue and wait for considerable periods. Many travelers with significant luggage find the inefficient elevator service quite inconvenient. Increasing the number of elevators and implementing technical improvements would enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall guest flow. Furthermore, the limited number of food delivery robots introduced by the hotel struggles to meet meal delivery demands during peak times, resulting in guests waiting a long time to receive their food, which negatively impacts their dining experience. Deploying more robots or supplementing with human delivery would significantly boost delivery speed and efficiency. Fifthly, the hotel provides a self-service laundry room, which theoretically offers significant convenience for long-stay or independent travelers. Equipped with user-friendly washing machines and dryers, it's suitable for guests with a small amount of clothing to do their own laundry. However, in reality, the laundry room's management is disorganized, lacking clear usage instructions and staff supervision, which frequently leads to conflicts among guests. Even more concerning, hotel staff sometimes open washing machines and dryers that are currently in use, without any prior notification to guests. This action severely infringes upon guests' privacy and their right to use the facilities. Laundry is a personal and private activity, and the hotel should respect guests' privacy by ensuring any equipment checks adhere to clear regulations and notification protocols. In summary, Zhongshan Xizi Hotel possesses notable strengths regarding its prime location and certain service aspects, with staff generally demonstrating a good attitude. However, substantial room for improvement exists across many crucial details, including the depth of cleanliness, breakfast variety, hardware facilities (especially elevator and meal delivery efficiency), as well as laundry room management and privacy protection. Should the hotel implement meaningful improvements to address these shortcomings in the future, it would significantly enhance guest satisfaction and its reputation, thereby solidifying its position as a more popular and high-quality accommodation option in Hangzhou's West Lake tourist area."

"The hotel is well-located, and the service was decent. However, we noticed some black marks on the walls, and there was a fly in the room when we checked in. These issues slightly detracted from our overall experience. On a positive note, my child loved the bathtub, and we enjoyed the view of mountains and a pagoda right across. I hope the rooms will be more thoroughly inspected before the next guest's arrival."

"If you are looking for a authentic experience in a beautiful valley surrounded by steep cliffs terraced with tea plants then you have found your place. This little lodge is a hidden gem. It is perfectly located in this quaint village. You will be surrounded by lush vegetation. This location has easy access to the surrounding attractions. If you like to hike, you can lose yourself in the surrounding terraces, hiking trails, and the forest. The hotel staff is super friendly and will share any information that you need to make your stay pleasant and memorable. I will definitely bring my family back on another trip. This is a postcard picture place to visit."

"Love this home stay, in a magical village, with great tea plantations views and peaceful atmosphere. The room and property is clean, the staff is just lovely, welcoming and caring with beautiful lady owner, who is an artist and you can see her drawings in the cafe. Auntie made a great sandwiches for breakfast, sister in reception made a great coffee and they all took such a good care of us. There is so much to do in the surrounding, you are in prime tourist location, surrounded by nature and with peaceful and private feeling. Would definitely stay again 🥰🫶"

"## Environment Nestled on a small hill right by the West Lake scenic area, the guesthouse offers a tranquil retreat. The lane leading up has minimal traffic, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The constant chirping of cicadas and lush greenery add to the ambiance, and the air conditioning in the room was very powerful. ## Facilities The guesthouse occupies a small four-story building, equipped with an elevator. The 'B' level features a courtyard, while check-in and the restaurant are conveniently located on the first floor. Our room had a smart toilet and a bathtub, with a separate shower area. I noticed there was also a swimming pool when I was leaving – a shame it wasn't open during our stay! ## Service The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, staff helped with our luggage and guided us through the property. Since we arrived early and our room wasn't ready, they graciously offered us a complimentary tea break in the restaurant. At breakfast the next day, they proactively helped us choose main dishes, made coffee, and recommended pastries. Despite it being a guesthouse, their Pian'erchuan noodles were absolutely delicious, with a wonderfully fresh and flavorful broth! The mini wontons were also a big hit, perfect for the kids. However, during booking, we were promised a complimentary tea break, dining vouchers, and a squirrel feeding experience. Unfortunately, we weren't reminded about these upon arrival 😅 I only remembered them late at night, making them unusable the next day. And sadly, we didn't get to see any squirrels either. ## Hygiene The room was spacious and very clean, though the duvet felt a little damp. Also, after my child walked around the room in socks, they turned black. Overall, it's a very comfortable guesthouse."

"Came across this hotel while searching for an affordable yet spacious hotel and it looked exactly what i needed. A day before our reservation day, the hotel prempted us on possible road restrictions at their vinicity and offered to send us their customised map for drop-off. Upon arrival of the hotel, we were welcomed by their warm and friendly staff who gave us clear guidances amd brought us up to the room personally and familiarise us with their facilities. To our surprise, the hotel offered to help us wash and dry our clothing, free of charge and we dont have to do it ourselves which saved alot of time. The saved time allowed us to rest and enjoy our stay in Hangzhou. They were always ready to serve us, with dessert for supper, delivery items to our room anytime via their robot too. From the hotel, u may take a stroll to West Lake in 6 mins. U can reach YinTai mall Area B and Longxiangqiao Metro in less than 5mins too. During our stay, we went to West Lake Impression and Gong Yan and we enjoyed both performances and experiences. Thank you Zety fir the stay in Hangzhou!
