"The staff was really nice and tried to help whenever needed. There is a lot of staff tho so sometimes youre the only traveller joining 5 of them hahah but its really fun. The rooms themselves look more run down than they do on the pictures which was a bit dissapointing, and a lot of mosquitos inside the rooms. The bathroom was perfect for what you payed for."

"My first stay at the newly opened Zhulu·Lijiang Youth Hostel was a perfect experience! 1. Location: Situated in Shijia Garden, nestled against the Lijiang River, it's very close to Guilin Railway Station by car or bus, offering unparalleled convenience for hiking and exploring the surrounding area. 2. Cleanliness: For a new hostel, the cleaning was exceptionally thorough. The bedrooms, beds, bathrooms, and common areas were spotless, dry, and comfortable. 3. Facilities: The eight-person dorms are equipped with lockable lockers, allowing for secure storage of all luggage. Complimentary tea, disposable towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and earplugs are all provided. Basic amenities are complete and readily available. 4. Service: The owner is very welcoming, check-in is efficient, and convenient parking is readily available. They respond promptly to any requests. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended for solo travelers!"

"The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in and exactly the Guilin experience I wanted. The location is amazing and there are some very good food places a few hundred metres away. The hostel itself is very social as most are solo travellers meaning it’s very easy to make friends and travel to some areas together. It also feels very homely and the decor is very stylish. The boss is pretty much always around in person or via WeChat so if you have any questions or problems you can ask him. He can also help you out with finding a shared taxi to some further towns. He also does regular trips to some hidden-gems in Guilin like visiting waterfalls, walking in caves and seeing the sunset meaning for a unique and unforgettable experience that very few travellers will get! The hostel is very clean too, the boss is always cleaning and tidying up. Other bonuses are the boss’ very cute and friendly corgi who comes to visit multiple times a day. I will definitely come back and stay here another time :)"

"The last two pictures are of the Youth Hostel. The first one is on the seventh floor with stairs. Those with big boxes should be careful. The takeaway guy actually brought the rice noodles I ordered to me. It might be the off-season. I was the only one in the whole Youth Hostel and didn't see the boss. Guilin is still very fun. I couldn't finish three taels of Guilin rice noodles for 6 yuan. I was so full. The 8.9 yuan I ordered for the two dishes at Pinhao Fan was delicious. The price was reasonable. The Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill were also very nice. After playing for a day, I went to Yangshuo. The prices there were much more expensive than in Guilin. This restaurant has a lot of graffiti and is very sentimental. I will come again, but I am a little scared to be alone."

"This hostel deserves five stars! The location is fantastic – right outside the high-speed rail station, making it incredibly convenient to get to attractions and business districts. It's not in the bustling city center, so it's very quiet. The common areas are clean and tidy, with separate sections for male and female guests. The public space is large, and the decor is cozy and stylish. It's super comfortable for chatting with friends or reading in the evening. Plus, there are adorable cats! Playing with them was so much fun. The owner and staff are warm and thoughtful. After a hike, I was running late to pick up my luggage from storage and head to the high-speed rail station, so I just rested on the sofa. The owner even brought me a blanket, saying I could lie down and cover up to avoid catching a cold since I was traveling. That was so heartwarming! The bunk beds are comfy, the mattresses are just right (not too hard, not too soft), and the blankets are clean and odor-free. The soundproofing is also good, ensuring a great night's sleep. The washrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily, and hot water is available 24/7, which is perfectly sufficient! It offers amazing value for money, and I felt as comfortable as if I were at home. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!"

"Honestly, I was quite disappointed. Based on the photos, the common area looks great: bright, welcoming, with what seems to be a nice social space and a beautiful bar. In reality, when you arrive, you realize that this is just the reception, and it doesn’t look the same at all. It feels like the photos were heavily edited or filtered. There is no bar on the right side as shown; instead, there was a guy sitting at the reception with all his personal belongings, watching TV. There are no bar chairs, no real common space, and no area designed to meet people, which is one of the main reasons for staying in a hostel. I was traveling solo, and I ended up paying more than I would have paid in another hotel, for a lower-quality room and with no pleasant common space or bar at all. On top of that, a guy from the reception entered my room without warning, without knocking, and woke me up during the morning. He was lost and thought I was supposed to check out that day, which was incorrect. He didn’t apologize or warn me before entering. There was no proper heating or air conditioning. Either it was not available or it was turned off to save energy or money, but the room was very cold. My room had no window, and most of the rooms don’t have windows either. Overall, for the price, I was really disappointed."

"The second time I came, it was very good, it was very clean, there was a free dryer, a small stove with warm feet. From the north, I ate rice noodles for a few days and found that I was not used to eating. I made  Lu cuisine in the kitchen of the youth hostel.  Eat with unfamiliar friends from all over the world.  In particular, I met a few Guangxi and Yunnan people to go out to play together, and the atmosphere was particularly good. The hotel is as clean as ever, and the boss is very enthusiastic. "

"Perfect for a dee nights the environment is comfortable and cozy even when in rainy season! The receptionist is super nice and although she is not there all the time you can contact her easily vía WeChat! Amazing stay!"

"This was my first solo trip and my first time staying in a hostel, and I was so pleasantly surprised! I had an incredibly happy experience. First, let's talk about the hostel's location. It's absolutely fantastic and saved me a lot of travel time. Elephant Trunk Hill is just across the street, and the Sun and Moon Pagodas are a short walk away. Wenchang Bridge is right behind the hostel. It's also close to Tiexi and another park (I can't remember the name, but it's where the snack street is). It's about a 30-minute walk or an 8-minute bike ride. The Guilin rice noodles downstairs were pretty good. The Sun and Moon Pagodas themselves aren't particularly stunning, but if you walk further in, there's a pavilion where people organize singing sessions at night. They sing classic old songs, and many people join in, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Some even wave our national flag. If you keep walking, you'll reach a bridge. At night, there are street performers under the bridge. A little further along, also under the bridge, is a spot where people gather to play the erhu. Guilin's greenery is truly impressive; there are trees everywhere you go. Next, the hostel's environment. It's on the 3rd floor. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by beautiful decorations. The walls are covered with photos, all wonderful memories of travelers in Guilin. The hostel's decor style is very unique, and the rooms are super clean. The mattress was incredibly soft. I even got the owner's WeChat to ask for the mattress link – I'll be getting one for school! The hostel also organizes some small activities, but unfortunately, I was on a budget trip this time, so I didn't ask the owner about them. It seems they go to the outskirts of Guilin to see the scenery. The photos on the wall are from places the owner has taken guests. If you're staying here and are interested, you can ask the owner. I think the owner comes across as cold on the outside but is warm on the inside. I also had a short-term roommate who stayed for just one night and left the next morning. She was a very chatty older sister. We exchanged notes, and it was a delightful encounter. And there's a cute dog named Bajiao! So well-behaved and doesn't get upset no matter how you pet her. It felt a bit like being at work when I was just hanging out at the hostel, hahaha! Enough talk, let's look at the pictures. I think I took pretty comprehensive ones. The hostel has two restrooms, both very clean and tidy. There are many reminder labels on the walls, which is perfect for introverted people who might feel shy asking for help. Guilin's rainy season is long, with continuous drizzle, but it doesn't detract from the pleasant scenery and fresh leaves."

"The environment of the store is very nice, warm and clean. I originally planned to stay for two nights, but after arriving, I stayed until the end of the trip. I planned to use this as a base for activities in the surrounding areas. Here are some good places where I felt good: 1. The store is not difficult to find. I arrived at three in the morning and took a taxi downstairs. It was easy to find it according to the instructions. 2. It is very close to the scenic spots. Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Twin Towers are on the same road. It takes about ten minutes to navigate from where I live. If you walk slowly, it will be counted. In the other direction is East-West Lane, which is really convenient 3. It is located in the business district, with many large supermarkets, and it is very convenient to buy things"
