Taichung Hostels

"I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Stray Birds Taichung Hostel! This is hands down one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the modern, clean, and stylish atmosphere . The location is perfect – it's within walking distance of the Park Lane by CMP shopping area, the Calligraphy Greenway, and the National Museum of Natural Science . There are tons of great restaurants, cafes, and even a 7-11 and Starbucks right across the street, which was super convenient . The hostel itself is spotlessly clean . The beds are incredibly comfortable and more spacious than your typical hostel bunk, with good privacy . The shared bathrooms and showers were always kept clean, and I loved that they had that separate dry/wet separation . A huge highlight is the common area and the rooftop terrace . The lounge is spacious, bright, and a great place to relax, work on a laptop, or meet other travelers . The rooftop offers a nice chill-out spot with a view of the city . The staff were friendly, helpful, and created a really welcoming vibe throughout the hostel . They even offer a simple breakfast of toast and jam in the morning, which is a nice touch . If you're looking for a clean, modern, and social hostel in a prime Taichung location, look no further. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to any traveler!"

"There were hardly any amenities, but it was within walking distance of Taichung Station, and surprisingly clean, which was great! Just be careful about the check-in time. The entrance was locked, and I couldn't get in to check in (if you download WhatsApp beforehand and can make calls, they'll probably arrange for you to check in if you call them). Amenities were limited to shampoo, body soap, and a hairdryer."

"It's what you would expect. Sleeping pod with charging and light inside, spacious but the bed could be a bit softer. You have a big locker in the room. The bathroom with nice, with showers and good hair dryers. There is also a common area with space to leave luggage, free water, coffee and tea, and some tables to rest. You can wash and dry your clothes for 50 NTD each and buy a detergent pod in the reception. The area at night is not the best, as you can see some drunk people wandering around. But other than that, is perfectly just outside the station and walking/bike/bus distance from everything."

"Public area is very comfortable ,has lights and good ventilation. The self-checkin machine is convenient, key your first name or middle name ,your phone number. then scan your passport. The shower has good pressure and the temperature of warm water is optimum, not too hot to harm the old people's skin as many other hotels do. staffs have good services though they don't have smiles on their face. The hostel has breakfasts and snacks too. Nice and quiet place , Good sleep."

"The location is super convenient: there's a bus stop right outside, and a Ubike station nearby. Plus, there are tons of great food stalls just one stop away. The room and bathroom were both very clean, making for a really comfortable stay."
