Hotel near Shinsaibashi/Namba/Yotsubashi,Osaka
Discover all that Chuo Ward has to offer during your stay at JAKOTEL+Namba. This property also offers free luggage storage.

"This hotel is very close to Nippombashi Station, about a 3–5 minute walk, which makes it very convenient. It is best for travelers without large luggage. The lockers are only backpack-sized. If you have a big suitcase, you need to place it against the wall, which is not very convenient when opening it. The cleanliness is good, and the amenities are decent. Overall, it is good value for money. Recommended for budget travelers or those staying for a short time."

"Fantastic atmosphere! The room was very quiet, and the air conditioning kept it nice and warm, so I had a really solid night's sleep! There's a lounge area with free drinks (see p4), which was a thoughtful touch. Plenty of convenience stores and vending machines nearby, and transportation was super convenient; I mostly used Honmachi Station. They provide free towels and slippers, and the bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial cleanser, makeup remover, and even toner/lotion! You can also borrow hair oil and curling irons. Plus, free breakfast is included. Even though I didn't get to try the breakfast and some of the amenities, I highly, highly recommend this place. Thanks to this spot, my solo trip in Japan felt so much warmer!"

"Solo travelers, you’re gonna love this! This hotel’s location is insane—literally right outside the subway station/scenic spot entrance, cutting down commute time big time. The room isn’t huge, but the layout’s so smart it never feels cramped. Super clean with no weird smells, and the bedding’s new and cozy—wake up totally refreshed! Amenities hit all the right notes: high-speed WiFi not good, AC that cools fast and stays quiet, and all the toiletries you need. Even the hair dryer has solid power (total game-changer!). Check-in and check-out are lightning-quick, and the staff gets back to you in a flash. The value for money is off the charts—10/10 recommend to all solo travelers wanting a stress-free stay!很好,符合这个价位👍"

"[Not worth it if over 300 yuan per night] Hygiene: It's clean, but compared to hotels and hostels in Japan, I'd say the hygiene level is average. Environment: The overall space is quite small. The corridors and toilets are all quite tiny. The beds are bunk beds, and the ceiling height isn't very generous either. Service: The service was just so-so. The person who checked me in was *********, and their attitude was a bit cold."

"My mom and I stayed in Kansai for 6 nights and 7 days. Initially, after reading reviews, I was concerned about late check-in, specifically if there would be staff available after 11 PM. After landing, transferring through various subway lines took quite a while. Fortunately, a staff member was still on duty past 11 PM that day. His English was excellent, and we had a seamless check-in. That evening, we discovered an amazing Yakiniku restaurant nearby, and there was even a Takoyaki stand open quite late. The FamilyMart convenience store was also conveniently located! Even though it's a hostel, all the facilities felt incredibly warm and inviting. There are communal facilities and kitchens available on both the ground floor and the top floor, where you can also enjoy lovely views of Osaka. It was a truly pleasant memory and experience. The only minor drawback was that the room was genuinely a bit small – it was even a little difficult for two people to move around. However, everything else was absolutely satisfactory. I would definitely be willing to stay here again on my next visit!"

"The room is tiny, just right for one person; any more and you'd be fighting for space. My 28-inch suitcase couldn't stay open, but there was room to store it when closed. There's hardly any staff around, which actually made for a very relaxed stay. The location is decent; if you're up for a walk, you can get to Shinsaibashi in less than half an hour. The closest subway station is about 500 meters away, a straight shot. There's a FamilyMart right next door, which is super convenient. The soundproofing isn't great, but the hot water in the bathroom was perfect for a bath."

"This was not my first hostel experience, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. Let’s start with the positive aspects first: The location was absolutely perfect — I don’t think you could find a better place to stay in Namba. Everything was close by, and getting around was very easy. Also, the staff were extremely, extremely friendly, and we received fresh towels every day, which I really appreciated. Now, onto the things that bothered me: First, the cleanliness: It wasn’t really clean. In the showers, there was always a lot of hair and dirt in the gaps where you enter and exit, which was quite unpleasant. During my stay, someone vomited in the public sink area, and it was not cleaned up overnight — it was still there even at 10 a.m. the next morning. Because of that, the house smelled strongly of vomit for a while. That night, and in general, there was often an unpleasant smell in the kitchen area as well. Without wanting to discriminate, I noticed that many older people were staying at the hostel (since apparently there was no age restriction). Some of them would loudly clear their throats and spit phlegm into the sinks, even early in the morning, which was quite disturbing and unhygienic. Another issue was the temperature: The room was extremely hot at night, and since so many people were sleeping in one room, the air became very stuffy. Even inside your capsule, it was uncomfortably warm. One last point: On the day of arrival, the address on Trip.com was wrong, which made it very hard to find the hostel. It took me almost an hour and a half to find it, especially because it was very hidden with no clear signage outside. I really hope that in the future, there will also be an age limit for guests."

Amazing
KKsjuterI experienced both the deluxe single room and the capsule single room. Both room types are on the same floor and neither can be locked. The hotel has a great atmosphere and is very quiet. The sound of me unzipping my backpack in the room was already quite loud. Based on different budgets, I would recommend both the deluxe single room and the capsule single room. I was very satisfied with my stay here and would definitely come back if I have the chance. Cleanliness: Surprisingly clean, from the hallway and room to the bathroom.

RRowell SantiagoI recently stayed at Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi during my trip to Osaka, and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality packed into this compact, capsule-style accommodation. One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the toilet and bathroom area — exceptionally clean, modern, and cozy. Despite being a shared facility, everything was spotless and well-maintained at all times. The design was sleek, and the space felt more like a boutique hotel than a budget capsule. The toilets are equipped with Japan’s signature high-tech bidet functions, and the overall cleanliness really exceeded my expectations. Even the subtle lighting and warm wood tones added to the relaxing feel every time I used the bathroom. The rest of the hotel was equally impressive. The capsules were comfortable, quiet, and felt more private than I expected. The lounge area was a nice place to relax or do a bit of planning for the day. Plus, the location is perfect — just a short walk from Shinsaibashi shopping street and a quick train ride to most Osaka hotspots. If you’re looking for a well-designed, clean, and cozy place to stay in Osaka, I highly recommend Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi. Especially if you value hygiene and comfort in shared facilities, this hotel delivers above and beyond.

AAnonymous UserHad a really comfortable experience this time! You leave your shoes on the first floor and take your key up to the second floor for check-in. The front desk staff spoke English, and check-in was quick with my ID. All the amenities were complete, the bed was very comfortable, the space was large and not stuffy, and both the bathroom and washroom were exceptionally clean. The hotel is super close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, just a few minutes' walk away. There's also a convenience store and various restaurants downstairs. It was great! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Osaka!

AAmanzhol YestekovLocals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual. There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths: two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C. You dip in and instantly feel alive. One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying. There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient. Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day. The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience. They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt. You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything. Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy. Downsides? A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM. If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day. Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay. Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.

GGuest UserWell run hostel that is very well situated near the downtown of Osaka. The staff are friendly and speak good English. The facilities are abundant and relatively clean. The bed I was assigned however had a very strange smell and the room overall was a little dusty. Given the price range and location this was understandable and I would still recommend this place.

KKya014riI stayed here for work at the Osaka Expo. It's only two stops from Yumeshima Station, and it's about a 5-minute walk from the station, so the location is great. It's also a great place for people going to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. There are convenience stores around the station, and many restaurants, although they aren't open late. However, the check-in process was a pain. I checked in using a tablet, and I thought, ”Is this really what I get for the price?” The walls are also thin. The bathroom door shakes when you close it. There is also no ventilation fan, so when I opened the bathroom door after a bath, the room was fogged up. My room was by the window, so I could hear all the voices from outside. There was no TV in the room. There was individual Wi-Fi in the room.
