"I really loved staying at this hotel. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Asakusa and very close to major attractions. It only takes about 3–4 minutes to walk to Sensoji Temple, which is very convenient. Don Quijote is just a 4-minute walk away, and Uniqlo and other shopping areas are also nearby. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained. The onsen facilities are excellent, with several types of baths to choose from, making it very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. One of my favorite parts was the complimentary ramen served at night — such a nice touch! The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Asakusa. It’s very convenient, comfortable, and relaxing."

"This was my first time staying in Ikebukuro, and it was incredibly convenient! However, the 'onsen' they mentioned was tiny, just a small pool. But the free bar access during my stay was a great bonus, with a good selection of drinks. I'd definitely stay here again!"

Kaminarimon and Sensou-ji Temple are walking range. There are free WiFi and public spa on the top floor.

"I stayed at the APA Hotel in 々, but this hotel had a hot spring on the floor and I was able to soak in the hot water. Speaking of greed, it would be nice if the bathtub was a little wider, but in the city center, this floor plan would be the best. I felt the ingenious design intention. I want to be a candidate for accommodation hotel next time."

"Stayed on this hotel for 2 nights. Location is super convenient, just 2 mins away from Tabata Station (Yamanote Line). You can store your luggage if you arrive earlier than check in time. Note: the road from the station to the hotel is a bit uphill. Staff is also very accommodating. Check out process is also swift as they have machine for express check out. My room is at 3F, Lobby is 4F. Cleanliness is okay, just a bit dusty on the window part. Shower and bath area is what you expect from typical business hotel. Will definitely staff again if I need to go to Tokyo!"

"It was a small but lovely hotel. You take your shoes off at the beginning and walk without shoes. At night they have free ramen which was delicious and their morning breakfast was crazy good. The hotel is a little older but it was clean. And all the amenities and it’s location make this place so worth it."

GGuest UserIt was our first time staying at Hotel Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport, as we usually stayed at the adjacent Villa Fontaine Hotel. The Premier property definitely feels more upscale and refined. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. Unlike the sister hotel next door, the front desk here is staffed with courteous and attentive personnel. Since we arrived before the official check-in time, we left our luggage with the staff and went shopping. Upon returning, our suitcases—and another one delivered by Yamato Transport—had already been brought up to our room, which was a very nice touch. We stayed in a Deluxe King River View room. It was spacious, with a large and comfortable bed, a generous washroom featuring a deep bathtub, and a long sofa by the window that was perfect for relaxing or having a quick meal. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient, and the overall room design felt modern yet cozy. The wardrobe wasn’t particularly large but sufficient for coats and travel clothes. We didn’t try the breakfast as we had an early flight at 7 AM, but the convenience store downstairs made it easy to pick up yogurt, fruits, and light snacks. Another charming feature was the aroma pouch-making station in the lobby, where guests can choose from several fragrances — it’s a small but thoughtful detail and a lovely souvenir idea. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient, especially for travellers catching early flights — it took only about 10 minutes to reach our airline’s check-in counter after checking out. The hotel also provides easy access to Tokyo’s major shopping areas like Shibuya and Tokyo Station. We’ll certainly be back on our next visit to Haneda!

GGuest UserEvery time I visit Japan, I always stay at a Dormy Inn chain hot spring hotel. They're usually located right by a subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There's almost always a supermarket right outside too. But what really draws me in is their amazing and varied breakfast, and of course, the natural hot springs. This particular hotel is very close to Mitsukoshi Department Store, and the room even has a small balcony, which is just perfect!

BBaochudeUKONOWFacilities: Excellent! It comes with its own hot spring, including two indoor pools, a sauna, and one outdoor pool. Everything is exceptionally clean, and the staff frequently comes in to tidy up. Cleanliness: Spotless. You won't find a single strand of hair. Ambiance: Great! The area around Ikebukuro is lively, but the hotel itself is very quiet. Service: Wonderful, with meticulous attention to detail.

FFenmaoshiguanjunI've stayed at many Dormy Inn hotels, and this time I chose the Korakuen location in Tokyo. The facilities are consistent with other branches, and the hot spring is on the basement level, so there's no outdoor bath like some other locations. Breakfast was decent. I have two complaints, though. First, this hotel might be an old building renovation, as the elevators are incredibly slow; you have to wait ages every time. Second, at other Dormy Inn branches, you can self-check-in, but here, the front desk insisted we check in with them manually. Their efficiency was terrible; it wasted so much of our time and was slower than if we had done it ourselves. I really wonder what they're thinking sometimes!

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

FFubutianHoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores. The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible. However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

수비니버스Located in a quiet neighbourhood near the central business district of Shinagawa, facing a street of food options. There's a nice riverside bridge nearby, with cafes and indie shops as well. Clean, although ventilation in the lobby could be better. Service staff were pleasant. Continental breakfast meant choices for each course were limited, but I was fine with it. Like other hotels in this chain, pajamas and amenities are provided in the lobby. Because there is an onsen, a yukata is provided instead of the traditional button-up and pants combo. Crowd condition monitoring for breakfast, the onsen and laundry were very useful. Laundry is also extremely affordable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is clean and amenities are good. The meals provided are superb especially their dinners. Their onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths and the water is hot enough. Rooms are large and shower pressure was good. Location wise it’s about 15 minutes walk from Ome station and the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from the station at regular intervals ( see picture below for schedule ). There is a picturesque park next to the hotel which has fantastic autumn foliage and many nice walking paths. The hotel is dog friendly.

GGuest UserAs a frequent traveler to Japan, I'm quite familiar with Japanese hotels. While the room was small (which is typical for hotels in great locations), it cleverly featured bunk beds, and surprisingly, the beds were quite spacious. It was perfectly fine even with kids! The location is absolutely fantastic. As soon as you step out, there are tons of menus everywhere, and you can walk to anything you want to eat. Ueno itself is a place where you'll never struggle to find food, and personally, I think it's hard to go wrong – everything is delicious. You'll feel like your mouth and stomach aren't big enough! Although the price went up for the last two days, it was understandable given the season and crowd. After all, the location is the value. The photos below are from my previous visits, feel free to check them out and ask any questions! 🙋‍♀️
