"super lovely staff, let me check in abit earlier and plenty of space in the room with comfy bed :) right near tramline and 15ish min walk to palais theatre where i had a concert so super convenient! no elevator incase you have big luggage but it was fine for me and super cool artwork around the place. thanks!"

"Very good value for money. The hotel is nicely renovated with no waste in space. Sheets are very clean and bed is comfortable. Room is neat and has no smell. The only issue is that it could be very nosey during the weekend because there is a bar in the ground floor. I didn’t experience it because I stayed in weekdays."

"Lovely vibes, cool chill areas, community bar and community events plus the staff especially the lovely guy who booked me in was Amazing. However it's a very crappy old building with Nil working properly showers and broken toilets. I had 1 night in a nice female room which I barely even saw as I was out and Tried to rest at a 2nd booking being shoved into a mixed smelly weird noisy dorm on a top bunk with ****** knocking on the door at all hrs, one guy snoring and another twat on the phone I told off. Was stressful and I hadn't a Warm shower in a working functioning bathroom in 2 days. Not returning. If you like noisy rude tourists and old buildings with no lift carrying your bags everywhere and no showers, great!"

"Very nice convenient, clean Hotel in a great suburb of Melbourne. Will definitely not like the world on fire in terms of differential from other hotels within this category, but it served its purpose very well. Would recommend staying here."

"Only stayed one night to work in quite and great for that. Apartment was spacious and had everything you need however it had an odd lay out . A coffee station near kitchen but mire in lounge then a weird desk that was used as a pots and oan cabinet closer to lounge as well . Huge amount of pots and pans but not ione knife. Just nit thought out from perspective if patron. Tga stret its situated on is amazing. The church opposite is special. Infact every building was old and architecturally beautiful.. great place to stay in autumn with the shedding leaves for effect.. it was quiet and was nice but decoecboring, drab, and oddly laud out. I like to feel a warmth and inviting energy when I enter a hotel this was just there to give you twhsy u need to stay away from home for a night in a 1 bedroom apartment in a picturesque street in stkilda...."

"The night receptionists were great, with excellent service. The location is in Zone 2, and you can catch a ride right outside the corner, though for a group, taking an Uber to the city center might be more cost-effective. The hotel's design meant that none of the bathroom doors had locks. In our first room, the bathroom door was semi-transparent with a large gap on the side, making it uncomfortable and awkward since there were four of us sharing the room. After speaking with the staff, we were moved to another room with a solid wooden bathroom door, which was much better. However, the new room's lighting was very dim, and some power outlets were loose; even their own lamp would fall out. The small cooking light in the kitchen was also broken. The towel rack in the bathroom was attached to the ceiling, but the ceiling around it was cracked and looked like it was about to fall, which felt quite dangerous. One day, I requested room cleaning and left a note asking them not to make the bed, but the staff didn't even empty the bathroom trash; instead, they left a trash bag for me to change myself.... There were only two tissues left, and they weren't refilled. When I went down to the reception, the staff said they could only make a note to refill them tomorrow, as they didn't have any immediately available. There was no phone in the room, so I had to go to the front desk myself to find staff. Each shift only had one receptionist, so usually, I'd have to wait 10-15 minutes while they dealt with other guests, which was ridiculous. It's not that the staff are bad, but they are severely understaffed! Also, because there was a kitchen but no cooking utensils, when I asked the front desk, the receptionist had to personally bring a set up... they're clearly too busy!"

"It was a bit frustrating having written in advance to request an early check in as well as calling on the day of check in and then arriving at the hotel at noon to be told that check in would not be possible despite another traveller at the adjacent desk being given his key early. But once in the room, the service and everything was super."

"Stayed at Mercure Melbourne Albert Park recently. The location is definitely the highlight — very convenient and close to the city and Albert Park area. However, the rooms felt quite small and outdated compared to other Mercure hotels in Melbourne. There was also a noticeable old mildew smell in the room which made the stay less comfortable. The bathroom/toilet was especially disappointing — very old, looked dirty, and in serious need of major renovation and updating. Food and service were okay, but fairly average overall and nothing particularly memorable. A decent stay for the location, but the hotel really needs refurbishment to match the standards of other Mercure properties in Melbourne."

"There is a nice pub bar downstair. Be prepared for some noise until 10 or 11 pm. They have clean common bathroom. Otherwise, it is a nice hotel in beautiful suburb neighborhood. Walking distance about 5 minutes to nearest train station. There is no convenient store nearby."
