The hotel's location is great, with nice views, and it's quite convenient to get everywhere. The aquarium is just across the bridge downstairs, which is very handy if you're with kids. The room cleaning was very thorough, and the front desk staff were quite friendly. For breakfast, the fruit selection was particularly generous, and everything else was standard but adequate. My only minor gripe is the breakfast timing: weekdays are 7-9:30 AM. It would be more reasonable if it were 6-10 AM, as many hotels I've stayed at even offer breakfast until 11 AM. 9:30 AM feels a bit early to finish. Also, it offers good value for money; the rooms are spacious, and for the price, it's pretty decent.

I recently stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment and was generally satisfied with my experience. Upon entering the room, I noticed the bedroom fan was already running, which seemed unusual given it was winter. After checking the air conditioning, I discovered the control panel wasn't working. I contacted reception, and a technician was promptly sent to inspect the issue. The technician confirmed that the air conditioning was not operational. Customer service handled the situation well by personally escorting me to a different apartment, which turned out to be a spacious 2-bedroom unit. This was a thoughtful gesture and was greatly appreciated as an apology for the inconvenience. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with how the staff resolved the issue. However, the situation could have been avoided if the room had been properly checked before being assigned to a guest. Ensuring that essential appliances are functioning prior to check-in would help prevent similar inconveniences in the future. Despite this oversight, I appreciated the prompt response and excellent customer service provided by the team.

Great location! The facilities are a bit older but well-maintained. Service was decent; check-in and check-out at the front desk were smooth, and requests were generally addressed promptly. It was a bonus to find staff who spoke Chinese, which made communication easier. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, both Western and Chinese, catering to most tastes. It was a solid spread that met most people's needs. Overall, my stay was comfortable and uneventful, with no major complaints. It's suitable for both business and leisure travel, making it a reliable five-star option in Melbourne.

It’s a hidden gem, close to quite a few tram stops, with the big woolies and Asian grocery store downstairs plus a delicious restaurant serving so quickly, what else can except? I am so happy with the staying. It’s safe and quiet with broad views, we love it 😍

I'm writing this review in English so the staffs can understand what I wanna say. First of all I wanna thank the male staff on duty everyday over the entire stay of mine and the two girls on their shifts when I checked in. You guys are fantastic, very helpful, friendly and highly efficient. My apologies for not remembering your name, but I do wanna give you my heartfelt thanks. However, there was this female staff, seems to be latino or something, on duty when I came back to the property to get my luggages in the afternoon of Feb.22 aat 3:45pm. (I'm sure you can find out who was it because there were only two staffs at the front desk at that time). She was INSANELY LAZY AND RUDE. I asked for my luggages and she took my tags but said to me, rolling her eyes, ”I think the door to the luggage room is open.” She was very hospitable when dealing with the other guests, who were white, before me. I insisted she needs to go get the bags for me, and she said I'll have to wait. I waited, but apparently she didn't have anything legit to do. She was randomly checking her computer to keep me waiting. I guess what I'm trying to say is pls fire this ****** staff. 但国内同胞可以放心住酒店本身很好，其他员工也很好

Service was fabulous. Leslie was absolutely wonderful to deal with, a joy. The apartment was a great layout with everything you need for a short stay. Although the hotel room was starting to look tired and there was an overwhelming odour in rooms & hallways of curry, everything was neat and tidy. Thank you for our stay.

I stayed on the 51st floor, thinking it would be quiet, but the soundproofing was incredibly poor. I could clearly hear motorcycles roaring downstairs, and the wind noise was really noticeable, making it impossible to get any peaceful rest. The bedding experience was even more ridiculous. It wasn't a normal duvet cover; it was two separate layers of fabric with the duvet sandwiched in between. It looked cheap and unclean, and the hygiene details were particularly bad. Compared to other hotels and apartments in Australia, this one feels very slapdash and shoddy. Both the facilities and service details are completely subpar. I definitely don't recommend staying here!

The Mantra Southbank was in a great location, especially for Arts lovers. Room was clean and spacious. Front of house staff, polite and friendly. Pool is great!

The location was excellent, with the casino only about a 10-minute walk away. There were a couple of minor drawbacks. The lighting in the room was a little dim, and the dryer didn’t seem to work properly, as our clothes were still damp after running it overnight. The parking fee of $45 per day also felt a bit expensive. Overall, the great location made our stay enjoyable despite these minor issues.

Good location.  5 minutes walk to tram no. 58 towards city or Toorak.  Opposite Woolworths.  Clean 3 bedroom apartment in Epic building.  Key pick up is far to walk at a convenience store in City Road.  Enquiry staff very helpful and professional.   We used car and had free parking.  Apartment pantry was well stocked with condiments.  Will stay again.
