Beautiful hotel in the middle of Zurich - very close to the central tram stops.
The only issue we had was the stairs at the front, but an employee directed us to the back of the property and there were less stairs there. 👍🏼👍🏼
Lift was quite small but we managed.
They have a wonderful restaurant on site with authentic meals - very nice.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Swiss National Museum, and within walking distance of ETH Zurich, making it convenient to get anywhere. We arrived in Zurich from Interlaken earlier than scheduled, and the front desk kindly arranged a room for us before the official check-in time, which we greatly appreciated. The bar on the ground floor is very popular, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of dried fruits. There was a bottle of drinking water in the room, but we had to contact customer service to get slippers. Unfortunately, outside our window was a construction site with a building under construction, causing a lot of noise.
Had a great stay at Ruby Mimi Hotel Zurich.
The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which made the stay really comfortable. Everything felt fresh and nicely organized, from the room to the common areas.
It’s also very convenient — the location makes it easy to get around, whether you’re exploring the city or heading to nearby attractions. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable stay, perfect for a short trip!
The 25hours Hotel Zurich West has a lively mixture of vibrant colors, authentic local flair and a homely atmosphere. It is very much in touch with its surroundings and combines work by the Zurich-based designer Alfredo Haeberli with creative art. Embodying the hotel company's tongue in cheek humor, the 25hours Hotel Zurich West never takes itself too seriously and shows what the city has to offer other than banking, chocolate and watches.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at 25hours Hotel Zürich West. From the moment I arrived, the experience was warm and welcoming — the staff were not only professional but genuinely friendly, adding a personal touch that made a big difference.
The rooms are a standout: stylishly designed with bold, playful décor and thoughtful details that give the space character without compromising on comfort. I especially appreciated the roomy interiors, which offered more space than most urban hotels — a real luxury in Zurich. The layout felt both functional and relaxing, making it easy to settle in whether you’re in town for work or leisure.
The hotel also fits perfectly into the creative energy of the Zürich West district, with a modern vibe that feels authentic rather than over-designed. Highly recommended for travelers looking for something with personality, comfort, and consistently great service.
25hours Hotel Langstrasse is located right next to Zurich's main station. Culture and lifestyle all converge on legendary Langstrasse. The designer, Werner Aisslinger, regards the hotel as a small, independent universe, inspired by the contrasts between b anks and red lights, art and finance. Regularly changing artists work in and around the hotel, always ensuring new, creative input.

After surviving a passport control queue that felt long enough to qualify as a second flight, walking into 25Hours Hotel Zurich was pure bliss. We’d booked a Large room for our first Valentine’s weekend together, and it was a brilliant call - spacious, beautifully presented, and hitting that elusive sweet spot between ”industrial-chic” and ”actually comfortable.”
The showstopper (quite literally) was the glass shower cubicle standing proudly in the centre of the room. It’s a bold design choice that we loved, and for those who aren’t quite ready to share that much with their partner, it’s easily screened off for a bit of privacy. The free mini-bar and designer coffee were lovely surprises that made us feel like VIPs, and the smart TV’s screen-sharing was a total win; mirroring Netflix from our phones was effortless, making our late-night movie plans a breeze.
The staff were truly excellent. We turned up an hour before the official check-in time, but instead of being sent away to wander the streets, the receptionist checked us in immediately with a genuine smile. Furthermore, after we indulged in slightly more red wine than was perhaps wise the night before, the team graciously allowed us a late check-out with zero fuss and no extra charge. That level of empathy is rare, in my experience.
If you want high-quality, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quirky accommodation in a prime Zurich location, look no further. It even smells fantastic - I’m convinced there’s a designer scent being pumped through the air conditioning. (Note to management: if you sell that fragrance in a bottle, please let me know - I’ll take five!)
We had a highly enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will definitely be back.

The room is definitely on the small side but as a petite woman, this is definitely enough for a few nights’ stay.
The bed was comfy and the arrangement of the room made sense.
The best was how it’s literally just in front of Flix bus station & train station. So no matter how late you arrive, you don’t need to worry about lugging your luggage in the dark and walk for far to find the place.
Overall, I enjoyed my night stay at Fred’s and would consider staying with them again if I were to visit Zurich again.

Honestly, this hotel isn't really worth the price. The good rating is for the front desk staff, I think there were two men and two women? They were all incredibly friendly, patient, and polite with guests. The hotel's location is a bit of a joke, to be honest – it's halfway up a hill. It's five tram stops from the train station, and while it looks like just over a kilometer on the map, it actually takes 30 minutes to walk because you have to climb uphill. That's a huge time commitment, and we wouldn't wish the awkwardness of dragging heavy suitcases up those stairs on anyone else... The hotel rooms are tiny, much smaller than what we had in Germany, and there's no air conditioning! That was the most frustrating part, especially in summer. The room only had one fan, but it was completely useless. The bathroom is also very small; you have to make sure to close the door tightly after every shower, otherwise, the room just gets even hotter.
With a stay at St Gotthard Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Zürich, a 2-minute drive from Bahnhofstrasse and 6 minutes from Letzigrund Stadium. This luxury hotel is 2.8 mi (4.6 km) from Zoo Zurich and 5 mi (8 km) from Lindt & Sprüngli Chocolateria.

The room is great, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. BUT: upon check-in, I was asked to leave MY CREDIT CARD on file for the duration of my stay! This was despite the room already being paid for and charged to my credit card. Of course, I indignantly refused. Then I was asked to put down a 100€ deposit, which I equally firmly rejected (I didn't even have any Euros on me anyway... it was a spur-of-the-moment idea to be in Zurich!). The justification given was that I might raid the minibar without paying, but it was empty anyway. Mercifully, I was then allowed to check into my room without leaving any deposit.

Amazing
KKimKWThe staff is very friendly. We were a bit concerned about the shared toilet but it was so clean and not occupied at all. I went to so many times didn’t have the problem to wait someone else.
GGuest UserThe room was a bit pricey, but they upgraded my room type which was nice. The breakfast was a bit monotonous and not great. However, the room was clean and it's close to the train station. You do have to go up a few stairs to get there, but it's manageable 😅. The heating worked really well, which was a big plus!
YYee11Hotel Glockenhof Zurich offers Switzerland charm and modern comfort, making it one of the top choice for leisure and business trip on visiting Zurich. Situated in the heart of the Zurich city, it provides good access to Zurich's main attractions, shopping areas, and near to the Zurich Main Station transportation.
The attentive staffs greeted with warm hospitality, and are always willing to assist with any requests.
The hotel's elegant decorated rooms provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city.
This hotel places emphasis on healthy sleep, hence they have worked with a Swiss family company, Roviva for the bedding (there’s a small card information on the benefits of roviva bed provided). The room also comes with a pair of arm chairs and coffee table and amenities, including free Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine and movable flat screen TV. Lastly they have also provided an umbrella and grocery tote bag in case you need it which was very thoughtful on guests needs.
The breakfast buffet comes after booking the room (optional), offering a wide selection of fresh fruits and delicious hams, bread and yogurt options to start the day.
All in all, my family and I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel.
GGuest UserThe first day when we arrived on the 13th of August , the guy at the front desk was very friendly and polite. The hotel is located near tram and train station and bus station so it is was very convenient to go anywhere. Tram is 4mins walk away ,10mins walk to supermarket and train station. And 15mins by tram to the Zurich airport .
Hotel cleanliness is an issue, very dusty floor, dirty sink, and dirty toilet bowl. I even asked twice the receptionist the guy on duty if they can clean our room and put a fresh towel but no one came to clean.Room service is not 24hrs. Air conditioning doesn’t cool the room down. No tv channels. Hotel service is below standard.
Merlyn from London
XxRosexThe room was quite small, but it came with a microwave, utensils, and more. There's a supermarket downstairs that's open late, so you can buy food, store it in the room, and heat it up later if you get hungry. You can store your luggage, but the storage room isn't locked. Access to the building and rooms is via a passcode. However, even if it's past the 3 PM check-in time, you'll have to wait a few minutes for the passcode to activate before you can open your room door.
TTravelshortsWe stayed at ibis Zürich City West for one night while visiting Zurich, and it worked well as a straightforward place to stay for a quick stop in the city.
We had a triple room, which was a good size and worked well for our needs. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with enough space for luggage and a good night’s sleep after travelling. It wasn’t luxurious, but it had everything you would expect from an Ibis hotel and felt well maintained.
In terms of location, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it reasonably convenient if you’re arriving by train. The area felt easy to navigate, and although it’s not right in the historic centre, it’s close enough to reach the main parts of the city without too much difficulty.
Our stay was very short — we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning — so we didn’t get the chance to explore the hotel or use any of the facilities such as the restaurant or breakfast service. For us, the hotel simply served as a comfortable overnight stop.
I would recommend ibis Zürich City West if you’re looking for a clean, reliable hotel for a short stay in Zurich. It’s particularly suitable if you just need somewhere practical to sleep before continuing your journey.
GGuest UserHotel is a 10 min walk from the bus station which connects to the train from the airport. The same bus station that takes to the central train station. It costs about 12CHF to 18CHF to or from train station. Hotel provides free rental bicycles which is very convenient. Facilities are OK. Room size is reasonable.
Be aware that the uncovered glass of the shower may not suitable for all if privacy is important. The room we stayed were extremely hot. While it is only 14°-18° outside, the room temperature is definitely 30°+. It made hard to wear the proper clothing to fit the temperature for the day. No aircon, the only way to cool the room down is to open the side window which leaves no wall from the room to outside of the building. Yes, the only barrier are a couple of metal bars between the desk against the window to outside the building from our ninth floor room. Plus the window can closed by itself, you need to reopen it multiple times if you want the cooler air for a little longer. It’s hard for a hot night sleep.
Breakfast is good and has good variety of the food and drinks. It costs 24CHF p.p. if it is pre-ordered.
If stays in the same room, no, it is not recommended to stay here. It may have other rooms that are not as hot as the one we stayed.
SShibakenDThe hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a little basic, but considering the price, it was actually quite good. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk from the HBF (main train station).
GGuest UserThe room was quite small, making it difficult to open large suitcases comfortably. There's a free shuttle service to the East Wing. However, the facilities were decent. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's well-connected by nearby train and bus services.
GGuest UserThe hotel is self-check in, Ctrip did not send a reservation number starting with 4, resulting in the need to contact the hotel staff to check in. The location of the hotel is not close to the train station, it takes 10 minutes to walk or take the tram. But at this price, there are not many choices in Zurich, but fortunately the hotel is clean and business trips are ok.
