Bidding farewell to Kunming, what I’ll miss most isn’t the scenery along the way, but the serene courtyard where I stayed for five nights. The courtyard exudes sophisticated design aesthetics everywhere – it’s peaceful, tranquil, wonderfully relaxing, and incredibly soothing. Every brick and tile speaks of a refined lifestyle, and every flower and plant showcases unique taste. This trip will forever be memorable because of this charming little courtyard. Arriving a day early, the smaller room I booked last minute was still very upscale, with a comfortable mattress and complete amenities. It offered a perfectly comforting and healing experience! Although Kunming itself didn't particularly impress my family of three during our May Day trip, this courtyard became my absolute favorite! Fantastic!

The advantage is that the space is very large, the bed is also big, and it is not a bunk bed, it is a kind of bed that is a single one, the space is enough, very clean, and the bathroom is in this room, he is connected to three rooms. Well, I remember when I had three rooms for myself. And it was quiet, right in the mountains. The disadvantage is that this location here is too biased. You can never find it without a car. Even if you drive for a long time, you will be around on the mountain road on the mountain. So the location is too biased and hard to find.

Fantastic stay! The location is super convenient, within walking distance to attractions and the subway, making getting around a breeze. The room was spotless, the bedding soft and comfy, and the soundproofing was excellent – perfect for light sleepers like me. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay, always quick to help with any requests. They even shared some great local tips and hidden gems. Amazing value for money, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

This hotel's location is fantastic, right opposite Haigeng Dam, nestled within a high-end villa complex. The complex itself is incredibly quiet, so even light sleepers won't be disturbed. Just a few steps out of the complex, you're right at the bustling Haigeng Dam. It's truly the top choice for seeing red-billed gulls in winter, climbing Xishan, and exploring Dianchi Lake! Breakfast was also provided; even though we woke up late, the auntie diligently gave us everything she could! We checked in very late the night before, and the front desk staff member proactively showed us to our room, helped us with our luggage, and even brought welcome fruits, especially the small kumquats which were incredibly sweet – I feel like you can't even buy them in the north. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel when you come to Kunming. The room has two beds, perfect for families with two children. With the central air conditioning on, the entire room is warm and cozy, and you won't feel cold after a shower. In short, 100% recommended!!

4 days and 3 nights. Facilities: Mature, traditional, with good greenery. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A true hot spring garden. Service: Meticulous, but standard. What needs to be emphasized is the need to strengthen emergency assistance training for special circumstances, especially for sudden illnesses suffered by guests. Staff should be enthusiastic and proactive, not cold and unresponsive when guests request urgent help. The male manager at Runyu Restaurant on the first floor on the evening of the 21st performed quite poorly. What deserves praise is the enthusiastic and thoughtful lobby manager on the 22nd, and the reception center staff member (I didn't catch her name, she was petite and delicate) who proactively apologized and even gave us 3 New Year gifts, which felt auspicious and warm. This somewhat made up for the disappointment of the 21st. Thumbs up to both of them!

You can enjoy a luxurious 'staycation' for just 300 RMB! I was amazed, incredibly satisfied. The hotel is located right at the foot of Xishan Mountain. Some room types offer direct views of Dianchi Lake, while others come with private courtyards. I truly enjoyed waking up to such private greenery, a perfect place to relax, daydream, and fully immerse myself. I booked this last-minute for New Year's Day. When a room became available, I wanted to upgrade, and the hotel staff proactively upgraded me for free. I absolutely loved the small room with a courtyard. Listening to the wind, watching the sun, and daydreaming – it made even going to work feel pleasant! My mom went ahead of me, and I'm very grateful to the hotel for helping with her reception and guidance. Not only did they assist with her check-in, but the service in general was excellent. Also, friends, don't worry about it being far from the city center. I honestly think Xishan is the happiest place in all of Kunming. Recommended Itinerary 1️⃣: Spend a whole day at Xishan. You can overlook all of Kunming and see many, many migrating seagulls. Stay until sunset, it's absolutely stunning (there are private cars at the South Gate to take you back to the hotel; don't just walk blindly, as walking at night can be a bit scary). Recommended Itinerary 2️⃣: Take the cable car down from Xishan, which leads directly to Haihong and Haigeng. I personally prefer Haihong; Haigeng Dam is practically a street full of live streamers. For other areas in the old city, the subway and taxis are also very convenient. Finally, I will definitely be back!! P1-3 are views from the hotel's internal observation deck. P3-6 are the views you wake up to right from your room. Highly recommend 817 – it's incredible, super beautiful, and private. You can completely immerse yourself and daydream, nobody will see you, so you can truly be yourself. I was blissfully happy. P7 onwards are all Xishan scenery. Climbing up there is truly worth it.

The room was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The young lady at the front desk was exceptionally kind; she picked us up in the shuttle when we arrived and then drove us to the exit on our last day after seeing our piles of luggage. As for breakfast, the beef noodles were incredibly delicious, but the portion was huge, and we couldn't finish it all.

It is our own fault but we did not realise that this was so far out of the city and at the entrance gate of a cultural Stockade. The host was helpful but there was a bit of an odour from the bathroom.  if your purpose to stay here is to see the cultural stock then this would be a good location but there are no restaurants nearby.  There was a nice view from our window of the lake and some beautiful traditional architecture to walk around and see in the area. 

The room was absolutely fantastic! Super clean, and the smart home features made everything so convenient. Plus, there's a huge projector in the room, which was great for watching TV. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful; she even helped us get our luggage to our room and gave us complimentary fruit – the oranges were really sweet! She was also very responsive to all our requests. Right outside the hotel is Haigeng Dam, so it was super easy and relaxing to go see the seagulls and take a walk.

This newly opened Ming Shu is located in a gated community that is within walking distance to the Haigeng Dam, where the seagulls are. It a a very safe and upmarket area. On the way there, you will pass by many cafes and restaurants serving local specialities. Service is 5 star ***** This Mingshu is a family business, with Mr Deng (see photo) at the helm, with his wife and sister-in-law. Therefore, the service is very personal, with them helping me to buy a luggage last minute. Front desk opens 24 hours. They are all very attentive and helpful. They do airport transfer for a fee and help with my luggage up the stairs. They provide some cakes and pastry with tea (see photo) everyday at the lobby. There is also a tea set for us to enjoy (see photo) in the room, as well as a massage chair in mine. The room itself is as shown in listing and it is very clean. It is a smart room with Xiao Ai voice system. The room has both air conditioning and heating. Overall, I am very happy with this Ming Shu and the service! Highly recommended to stay here!
