This hotel's value for money was truly unexpected, deserving a high rating. What I want to praise most is the room cleanliness; it was incredibly meticulous. From the hallway to the room, it was spotless, the carpets were clean to the touch, and there was none of that musty smell typical of older hotels. The bathroom deserves special praise; the countertops and shower glass were spotless, and the fixtures were gleaming, giving a sense of security. As someone who appreciates attention to detail, I was very satisfied.
Another highlight is the breakfast. I heard it recently changed, now featuring vegetarian noodle sets, which were truly amazing. It wasn't just a perfunctory vegetarian noodle dish; the broth was very flavorful, you could taste the slow-cooked mushrooms or vegetables, the noodles were chewy, and the toppings were fragrant. It was warm and comforting. The accompanying side dishes and whole grains were also well-prepared, much more thoughtful than those buffet breakfasts with a lot of variety but mediocre taste. Overall, a very good experience, I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area.

Clean and tidy. I live nearby and pass by the hotel every day. My family arranged for me to stay here. It's not bad. The scenery at the entrance is very good, the air is fresh, and the plants are lush. If you have time, you can climb Guanyao Mountain opposite the hotel, which is also a scenic spot. The hotel has perfect details. There is a McDonald's 400 meters away, and the robots are cute.

Came to Nanjing with a friend and stayed at this hotel. Check-in was very quick, and the hotel was easy to find with clear directions. We had an entire floor to ourselves, and the room was very quiet. The front desk staff were super welcoming, handled everything quickly, and had an excellent attitude. The hotel environment is great. Xianlin Lake and Xianlin Lake subway station are downstairs. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

XXiaopangzhiAdaHad to stay in Nanjing for a night to catch Xue Zhiqian's concert, and after a long search, I picked Novotel Nanjing Suning. The value for money was outstanding! The location is perfect, right across the street from Exit 14 of Xinjiekou Metro Station. In my room, I could easily enjoy all the famous Nanjing网红 (viral/popular) foods by ordering delivery: Xiao Pan's duck blood vermicelli soup, cheese fried chicken, Xia Ji's sesame balls and glutinous rice dumplings, Shanxia Dairy, Xu Ayi's pastries – just lay back and wait for the robot to bring it up to my room! 😋
The service was excellent too; the front desk lady understood I wanted a high floor and even upgraded my room! The room was clean, tidy, and soundproofing was great. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!

The hotel is near Dongliu Station, but you need to walk about 3 blocks (15 minutes). The walk is flat, but in July and August it can get very hot, so bring an umbrella. The area is quiet and feels isolated. Although the hotel is not far from Nanjing University Xianlin Campus, there is no direct train, you need to change lines and make an awkward turn. Shared bikes (Hello blue bikes) are convenient in Xianlin, but not around this hotel. A good option is to take the B3 shuttle bus from Sanyang Road, which goes to Nanjing University train station (walking distance to NJU). Around the hotel, you will find small eateries (like chicken and duck rice shops) and a few convenience stores, but no malls.
Cleanliness
The rooms are clean, but there is a smoke smell that stays for about a day. The staff suggested opening the window and using the aircon, but I also bought a reed diffuser from Miniso to make it smell fresher. Bedsheets were changed regularly (every 5 days). The toilet slippers looked dirty, so I did not use them. Also, the hotel does not provide floor towels.
Staff & Service
The staff were very kind and helpful. They upgraded me to a bigger double room with a sofa and work area, and also gave me a cheaper rate since I stayed for 40 nights. Cleaning staff came daily, bringing bottled water and keeping the toilet clean. The night-shift counter staff were also helpful.
Facilities
There is a washing machine that can wash and dry in one cycle. Do not overload it, or clothes won’t dry properly. Since the hotel is not very busy, I could use the machine anytime without queuing. Rooms have a hair dryer and a lighted mirror. The aircon makes a small dripping sound, but it is not a real problem.
Noise
The soundproofing is generally okay, but occasionally you can hear people talking loudly if there are guests next door. It’s not the hotel’s fault—just that people in China often speak very loudly, even inside their rooms or in the corridor. Nothing much you can do about it.
Surroundings & Safety
The area is safe, with big roads and many residential apartments. In the evenings, families with kids and dogs walk around, and I also jogged nearby. Food delivery is easy drivers can bring food to your room or the counter.
Overall
It is a quiet and safe place to stay, with helpful staff and decent facilities. The location is not very convenient for NJU Xianlin Campus, but manageable if you use the shuttle bus.
