The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and plenty of great food options nearby. The room layout is well-designed, and it even has a washing machine with a complimentary laundry detergent packet. It's well-insulated from noise and smells fresh. There are an absurd number of cabinets and drawers, plus a washing machine, microwave, and mini-fridge, making it feel very suitable for a short-term stay. On the downside, the desk is narrower than in similar hotels, and the chair's back design isn't ideal for working. Also, the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor; you have to take the stairs from the 3rd floor upwards. Getting to my 5th-floor room was confusing the first few times. There was no Wi-Fi information in the room; I had to ask the front desk for the password. Despite these minor flaws, it's still highly recommended.

Hampton by Hilton truly lived up to its quality standards, as expected! The room decor had a wonderful Zen-like feel, with solid wood furniture and soft lighting creating a perfectly serene ambiance. I especially loved the small round table by the window, complete with an exquisite tea set. Sipping tea while looking out at the greenery was incredibly relaxing. The bathroom area had a lighted mirror and a spotless vanity, showing great attention to detail. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a super comfortable night's sleep. The service was also very attentive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a five-star review! The breakfast was a truly pleasant surprise! It was rich in variety and healthy, offering everything from local specialties like scallion oil noodles and hot fried rice, to staples like corn and Yangzhou fried rice. There were also freshly prepared hot dishes, fresh fruit, yogurt, and even delicate pastries and cold appetizers. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were genuine – light yet very tasty. Whether you prefer Chinese or Western options, there was something to satisfy everyone. The dining environment was clean and tidy, and the service was very thoughtful. After finishing my meal, I felt completely re-energized. Five stars, without a doubt!

MMomo GWe had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

GGuest User#Room#: Very comfortable, perfect for families of three or four with kids. I was traveling with two children and one adult, and my feedback is that we all slept incredibly well and had a great rest. It was quiet and the soundproofing was excellent. #Cleanliness#: Spotless. The housekeeper cleaned daily, changing sheets, duvet covers, and so on. They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety. #Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄. #Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again. I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~

GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give a special shout-out to Penny from Guest Relations. She proactively called me before check-in to carefully ask about my needs, and her demeanor was warm and considerate. After connecting on WeChat, she promptly responded to all my inquiries, from check-in details to various last-minute requests, always arranging everything perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing throughout my stay. The check-in process upon arrival was smooth and efficient. The overall environment was clean and comfortable, and both the soft and hard amenities were excellent. The staff as a whole were highly professional. From the initial communication and assistance during my stay to the seamless overall service, everything was spot-on, making me feel genuinely cared for. It was a completely pleasant and worry-free experience. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended!

MMeihuizzzzThe Peninsula Hotel is simply beyond words. The rooms are incredibly luxurious and opulent everywhere you look. But more importantly, there's an air of 'respect' that you truly have to experience for yourself. GGuest UserI chose this hotel's panoramic Bund view king room specifically for my business trip to Shanghai, and the moment I opened the door, I knew I’d made the right choice. [Coffee] The room is on a high floor, with a floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the Bund. Even during the day, the view was expansive, but it wasn't until night fell that I truly understood what 'stunning' meant. Around 6 PM, as dusk settled, the lights across the river began to flicker on one by one – first the outline of the Oriental Pearl Tower, then the glass facades of Lujiazui's 'three giants', and finally, the entire Huangpu River shoreline illuminated, winding before my eyes like a golden ribbon. I just sat on the window-side sofa, doing nothing but gazing out. Tourist boats glided slowly across the river, trailing streaks of light; in the distance, the Bund's historic buildings, bathed in warm yellow light, unfolded like a slowly revealing painting of old Shanghai. It was a peculiar feeling – to be in the heart of a bustling metropolis, yet, thanks to this window and this room, to have a quiet, private viewing platform all to myself. The room itself was also impressive. The king-size bed faced the window, so I woke up to the morning light on the Bund and could enjoy the night view before drifting off to sleep, making even bedtime feel ceremonial. The bedding was very comfortable, the pillows were just right (neither too soft nor too firm), and the mattress provided perfect support. After a day of walking, lying down completely relaxed me. The bathroom was also noteworthy; the wet and dry areas were well-separated and very clean, and the hot water came quickly with good pressure. The toiletries had a subtle woody scent that wasn't overpowering, leaving a pleasant fragrance after showering. The service was equally excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming during check-in, proactively recommending nearby restaurants and the best viewing times. The room came with welcome fruits and a handwritten card, showing thoughtful attention to detail. When I wanted a cup of hot water in the middle of the night, it was delivered quickly after a phone call, with no hint of impatience. And the location, of course, is unbeatable. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Bund, and getting to Nanjing Road and Yu Garden is very convenient. Honestly, once I checked in, I didn't even want to go out – why jostle with crowds on the Bund when I could enjoy the night view peacefully with a cup of tea right in my room? The only minor regret was that it was a bit cloudy on my check-in day, making the distant skyline a little hazy. But on second thought, the misty river combined with the lights added a certain poetic blur, which was also a unique experience in itself. If I come to Shanghai again, I will definitely choose this room. After all, turning the Huangpu River's night view into your room's 'background wall' – that experience is truly worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to fully appreciate the Bund's night scenery – trust me, you won't be disappointed.

GGuest UserAfter comparing several luxury hotels on the Bund, I ultimately chose the Waldorf Astoria, and the biggest selling points were Concierges Max and Rookie. They perfectly executed basic services like opening car doors, offering hot towels, and escorting luggage. What truly stood out was their proactive attention to guests' needs. When I wanted to learn about the historical architecture on the Bund, Max meticulously explained the story behind each building. Rookie helped me book a reservation at the rooftop terrace, allowing me to enjoy the full city skyline. All my requests were promptly handled, and they were genuinely helpful without being pushy – their service was just right, never overbearing. The historic building itself has a rich heritage, and the room comfort was top-notch. These two concierges made the entire stay far exceed my expectations. Highly recommended!

MMiniyouI brought my child for a stay, and my little one was quite happy with the hotel. A female staff member on the W floor, who was guiding us, also had a great attitude – very warm and proactive in asking if we needed any help. In the evening, I planned to go to the bar for a drink and enjoy the night view after my child fell asleep. Around 9 PM, feeling a bit cold, I wore the hotel room's bathrobe and room slippers to the bar on the fourth floor for a quick drink, all without leaving the hotel. Upon entering, they first verified my guest status, and a male server led me in. As we were walking, the staff member told me to go back and change my shoes and that bathrobes weren't allowed. I paid a high room rate, used the standard hotel amenities, and was consuming within the hotel, so why should I be dictated on what to wear? There were no dress code notifications at all. They didn't inform me upon entry but waited until I was inside to tell me to leave. If there really is such a rule, the hotel has an obligation to clearly communicate it, perhaps by placing a sign where the slippers are provided. What's more, the male server even mentioned they had replacement slippers (these were plastic, not disposable), which clearly indicates they know guests might come in disposable slippers. Are they just trying to make things difficult for people?

GGuest UserMy experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was super clean and comfortable, which made my stay very pleasant. What really stood out was the staff's kindness; it truly touched me. When I was struggling to figure out how to order takeout, they patiently explained everything and even personally helped me with a drink purchase since I'm a foreigner and had difficulty with the payment. At checkout, they even gave me a hand cream as a gift, making my trip perfect right until the very end. Thanks to their warm hospitality and the immaculate room, I had a truly wonderful time. DDe GiorgiOur stay has been a pleasure. The room is well furnished with all the essentials needed for an holidays of more than one day (fridge, washing machine and dryer). The beds are very soft and there is enough room for luggages. Our room is located in the French concession quarter, an interesting area with a lot of nice restaurants for all the budgets, convenience store and coffee. The service is very kind and helpful: the host has created a weChat group for us, with all the staff to answer our needs, and they provided us all the information days before the checking, ensuring that everything was clear. They bought us also water bottles for our stay. Few negative points to be discussed: the road in which our room (named Rome or ”Luoma”) is located is in a secondary street, unfortunately full of poor maintained house. When we saw the main entrance of the building we thought we were being scammed, since it was a mess with mold and falling paints from the wall, garbage and boxes. Fortunately the room is completely different! Another negative point are the windows that are super thin. Even if closed, you can hear everything from the road (the last night the neighbour were arguing for more than 1 hour and we could hear everything. It was like they were with us in the room!). The curtains are ok for the privacy, but not for the light: at 5 am the light of the sun was so strong that we needed to use eye masks to be able to sleep a little more. In general, our staying has been very pleasant and we suggest it! We hope that the host fix soon the few negative points
