I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Düsseldorf and overall had a mixed experience. Location The hotel is situated in a somewhat secluded area with a mix of residential buildings and ongoing development. It can feel a bit uneasy at night, although I never felt genuinely unsafe. The city centre is about a 30-minute walk, or you can take the underground, which is more convenient. Parking Parking is available onsite and is secure and spacious, which is a plus. However, at €30 per night, it feels quite expensive. There are some spaces outside the hotel, but signage is unclear and I wasn’t confident about leaving a car there overnight. Customer Service This was one of the weaker points. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming, and flexibility was limited — check-in is strictly at 3pm with no room for early access. While this may reflect a more typical German service style, it did come across as lacking warmth and customer focus. Room & Facilities The rooms are clean, modern, and functional — exactly what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express. However, a major frustration was the TV being locked in hotel mode, meaning HDMI inputs were disabled. I wanted to connect my own device but couldn’t. Staff were not helpful in resolving this, despite it being a relatively simple fix with the correct code. There’s also not much happening in the hotel beyond a small bar, so limited in-house entertainment options made the TV issue more noticeable. Breakfast (Highlight) Breakfast was definitely the standout feature. A great selection of fresh fruits, hot food, and bakery items — everything was well-presented and genuinely tasty. Overall Verdict The hotel offers good value for money, with clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. However, it’s let down by: • The slightly isolated location • Lack of customer-focused service • Expensive parking • Frustrating in-room limitations (TV restrictions) The TV issue alone would make me hesitate to return. That said, if you’re looking for a clean, affordable stay and don’t mind the trade-offs, it’s still a reasonable option.

Great location at the Media Harbour, the city center can be reached on foot in 20 minutes along the Rhine. Great room and very friendly service. Always my pleasure!

The breakfast at the hotel is very good, I like it very much, the variety is good, the taste is good. My room was found to have obvious stains on the bed at the night of check-in. Due to the late time, I can only deal with it sloppyly. Serve the little brother, and he said that he immediately handled all the room hygiene, which is very satisfactory.

Much better than I expected. Though it is a single room, room was big and bright. Deco was modern. The only challenge was the car park. It was real tight to get in and get out, barely one cm before you leave your mark of experience on your car. Location was good - about 10 minutes walk from the river. Good location as you can walk back after watching fireworks and do not need to squeeze with everyone on the tram.

We booked this hotel to attend the Medica fair in Dusseldorf .The hotel located near the centeal railway station that is very convenient to travel to the exhibision by train. There are also a lot of international food restaurants around the hotel within 2 Kms. like Viatnamese fod , Chinese food , Thai food , Japsnese food.

#Praise# Soundproofing of the corridor, room size, cost-effective satisfaction; convenient transportation, there are s trains and 706 above-ground rails within 500m. The environment and facilities are great, although the loft space and heating are very good, wifi is relatively stable. The boss was very enthusiastic, checked in in advance on rainy days, and hot water was provided.

Super great apartment in excellent location. We are hardly enthusiastic, nice communication, everything clean, bed excellent, high quality equipment, soundproof windows. We would immediately book again

The service was tip top from the check-in till the end. The service of Lucas and Hedric was attentive, meticulous and very helpful to my needs. I was exhausted and jet lag due to the trade show business plus it was my first time staying in the city centre. So rhe clean room and warm sincere treatment from the staff brightened me up. I appreciate the lovely loft room view of the city and also the great roof top bar. Thank u.

Although the streetcar runs in front and behind the building, the room was very quiet and I slept well. The parking lot requires a fee, so street parking is recommended. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes and everything tasted great. Overall, I think the value for money is excellent.

If you expect any kind of service or help from the employees, this isn’t the right hotel for you. The reception forgot my request for a phone charger despite me asking three times and waiting five hours. Parking in the hotel garage costs 35€ a day.
