"Very disappointing experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 12:45 with our family and an exhausted child and asked whether it might be possible to access our room a little earlier if it was available. We fully understand that the official check-in time is 3:00 PM. However, the hotel knew that we had been sitting in the lobby waiting for almost two hours with a very tired child, yet no effort seemed to be made to prioritise our room or find any solution for us. What made the situation particularly disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or consideration. We were not demanding something unreasonable; we were simply asking whether, given the circumstances, the room could be made available slightly earlier. We were also going to check out very early in the morning, meaning that we would not even benefit from the official check-out time until 12:00 noon. For a hotel of this standard, I expected a much more welcoming and customer-oriented approach. Small gestures and a little flexibility can make a significant difference to a guest’s experience, particularly for a family travelling with a tired child. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left us feeling that there was very little interest in helping us or making our arrival more comfortable. On top of that the room wasn't fully clean. "Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, safe in room, fridge, T.V. Best selection of Breakfast buffet at this hotel compared to all previous German hotel breakfast buffets eaten so far. BUT I booked this hotel for the sauna which were not available due to construction work when I arrived, with no info about the closure of the Sauna online before booking which is unnaceptable for the top hotel listing in Berlin with Sauna when paying customers book specifically to enjoy the sauna. Lucky for me I visited the best Men only sauna in Berlin called Artemis that evening which had the most beautiful female staff who attend to your every need, which left me relieved, refreshed and happy enough to forget the disapointment of no working sauna at the hotel I booked. Many nice restaraunts, bars and tourists attractions in walking distance with near by train station to reach other parts of Berlin to far to walk. Overall good hotel."

"I stayed here as a base for exploring Berlin. The location was absolutely fantastic, with super convenient transportation links. It's really close to Berlin Central Station, the city center, and even a shopping mall directly connected to the station that has a supermarket, which was really handy. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance."

"I was very satisfied with my stay at the Mercure Hotel Berlin City. Both check-in and check-out were completely straightforward and pleasant. As an All Accor member, I even received a complimentary early check-in and late check-out, which made my stay significantly more relaxed. The room was clean, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. I was particularly pleased with the great value for money, as I was able to book the hotel at a fantastic price through Trip.com. Overall, a very enjoyable stay – I'd happily return!"

"The location is pretty good, but having stayed at Hampton by Hilton before, there's a bit of a downgrade. If you love walking, you can reach all the main Berlin attractions on foot. You'll barely need to buy any public transport tickets, except for trips to Potsdam and the airport. So, if you plan your return journey and Potsdam trip within the same 24-hour period, you can save even more on transportation. I have to say, Trip.com is getting stingier with their reward points. There's really no need to be so petty."

"I recently stayed at this hotel , and I have to say my experience was a real mix of good and bad. I'll break it down clearly so other travelers know what to expect. Check-in experience I arrived at the hotel AT 21 PM, which was supposed to be the standard check-in time. To my surprise, there was absolutely nobody at the reception desk. I stood there waiting, thinking someone would appear in a minute.. After a while staff member finally came out from a back office. They looked a bit stressed or overwhelmed.The check-in process itself was rushed and cold. Coffee in the room – horrible Another big downside was the in-room coffee. The hotel provides instant powdered coffee – the cheap, soluble type that comes in a small sachet. I made a cup hoping for a decent morning coffee, but it was truly horrible. The taste was artificial, bitter, and had absolutely no real coffee flavour. It honestly tasted like chemicals. In my opinion, a hotel charging these rates should definitely offer capsule coffee (like Nespresso or a compatible system). Powdered coffee is outdated, low-quality, and leaves a terrible impression on guests who appreciate a good cup of coffee to start the day. This is a small detail that makes a big difference. I ended up going out to a nearby café to buy real coffee. THE POSITIVE POINTS Cleanliness – excellent On the positive side, I have to say that the cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The bed sheets were crisp, white, and spotless. The bathroom was perfectly clean – no hair, no dust, no stains. The floors were well swept and mopped. It's clear that the housekeeping staff takes their job seriously and does an excellent job. I felt very comfortable in terms of hygiene and tidiness. The room itself – fine The room was fine. It wasn't luxurious or particularly stylish, but it was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough, the TV worked well, the Wi-Fi connection was stable, and the air conditioning functioned properly. There was enough space to move around and store my luggage. So for a basic, no-frills stay, the room met expectations."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – truly excellent! Unfortunately, the suite was not at all clean (dust, hair in the room), which is very disappointing for a four-star hotel. This urgently needs improvement. The bed was comfortable. There were 4 drinks available in the *mini-bar*, but we didn't touch them because there was hair in the fridge as well."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Mondrian Suites, the location is very close to metro stop (around 8 minutes) and also bus stop (around three minutes). It’s right next to Checkpoint Charlie memorial. For the price I think it exceeded my expectations, room was very big and had all the amenities necessary for daily life. I would def come here again. It’s half an hour walking from Berlin cathedral, very convenient. It’s also very easy to find, the reception is from the back of the hotel."
