"Having read some reviews booked this hotel with a few nerves. However staff on reception were lovely. Room was clean. Fan had been left on to coolrom, it was a hot room but in middle.of a heat wave. Perfect location for us to parkrun in Battersea park on Saturday. We only stayed 2 nights did not expect room serive but room was cleaned, bed made, pots washed. Would stop again next time. Only thing I would say watch the shower ours was red hot!"

"Very good location. The hotel is good but my room was facing to the railway tracks so i could hear the sound of the train. Their weakness point is their staff. I work in hospitality and there are certain standards that you have to follow to provide quality service. Reception is available 24h but i called twice from my room (at midnight) and nobody picked up the phone. Finally, i had to come to the reception to inform them something was going on with my phone. That two night receptionist looked at me like if i was crazy and told me my phone was working because there was signal (Of course it was working, they just weren't answering my calls and were sitting around doing nothing). I asked them for a bottle opener and their answer was ” we do not have”. That's imposible in a 4 stars hotel so what i take away from this hotel is that they simply didn't want to help me. Also they weren't able to help me connect my device to the TV. The only staff good point was they gave me late check out until 12:30 for free. That's why i give you 2/5."

"I had an excellent stay at Holiday in London Hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast served every morning. There was a great selection of fresh, tasty food, and it was the perfect way to start each day. A special thank you to Sultana, who was an amazing host. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. Her outstanding hospitality and genuine care made my stay even more enjoyable. The customer service throughout the hotel was exceptional—friendly, professional, and always delivered with a smile. I highly recommend Holiday in London Hotel to anyone visiting London. I look forward to staying here again."

"I stayed at Sidney Hotel Victoria during a very unexpected and urgent two-day trip to London. Because everything happened last minute, I had very little time to choose where to stay. This hotel simply seemed like the most practical option. I had seen a few mixed reviews beforehand, so I arrived with fairly normal expectations. What I experienced instead was a stay that genuinely exceeded them. I arrived at the hotel at around 4:00 AM after a long and exhausting journey. Despite the extremely late hour, I was welcomed by two incredibly kind and professional staff members at reception who helped me check in quickly and smoothly. I had forgotten to bring a UK adapter, which could have easily been a problem, but they kindly lent me one without hesitation. That small gesture already made a huge difference after such a long night. When I entered the room I was honestly surprised. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and absolutely spotless. Everything was perfectly prepared and very well maintained. It had all the essentials a traveler needs, including a kettle with instant coffee and tea, toiletries, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. After reading some reviews beforehand, I was not expecting the room to be this pleasant, so it was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast was a simple English breakfast, but it was fresh, satisfying, and more than enough to start the morning feeling full and ready for the day. It was exactly what you need before heading out to explore the city. Check-out was just as smooth as check-in. The staff were very helpful and kindly stored my luggage for a few hours before I had to leave for my flight, which made my last day in London much easier and stress free. I would especially like to thank Manali for her warm smile and welcoming personality. She truly made the stay even more memorable. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and we shared a bit of small talk that made the experience feel very personal and genuine. Staff members like her are truly what make a hotel stand out. My overall experience at Sidney Hotel Victoria was excellent. The location is fantastic, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are genuinely welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London."

"Friendly staff, comfortable bed, pillow's a little too soft. Shower was a little grubby but was ok. Single room was plenty big enough for a single traveller. Breakfast was fine, although had to ask for fresh bacon not cooked so much as it was more than over cooked. Fridge in my room did not get cold and air con would not go below 19. Tube was a 5 minute walk away and 20-25 minute walk to Kensington Palace with lots of shops and restaurants around. If getting the National express and getting off on the Earl's court stop it is only a 5-10 minute walk on the same road"

"The staff were especially wonderful and I felt at ease. As others have written, there is no elevator, but the staff carried my heavy luggage up to the third floor, which was very helpful. All the necessary amenities were provided. I was a little worried because hot water was taking a while to come out of the shower, but after waiting for a while, it came out fine and I was relieved. If I have the opportunity to go again, I would like to use it! Thank you very much."

"The hotel's location is quite convenient, close to the DLR station and the pier, and about a 15-minute walk to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium. The breakfast was decent, but the service was just so-so, especially on the last day. The hotel had promised to pack breakfast for us, and we'd even confirmed the food and drink list beforehand. To my surprise, when I went to pick it up on time, nothing was ready. They hastily gave us some dry snacks and coffee, which almost made us miss our airport transfer! The most unexpected thing was on the first day when the elevator broke down, and we were trapped for nearly an hour. The elevators clearly lacked maintenance, with only one working each day, which significantly impacted our stay. Although they offered a discount on the room rate after some negotiation, the general manager never reappeared, and the promised compensation for the children was never fulfilled. Additionally, the shower drain in the room was extremely slow, almost flooding the bathroom if you weren't careful! Finally, regarding the hotel's ground-floor bar and restaurant, the food and drinks were quite good and reasonably priced, but the service attitude was poor, and they seemed particularly cold towards Chinese customers."

"I requested a quiet room and was given a basement room facing an inner street. I originally booked a two-bed room, but ended up with one large and one small bed. The room wasn't huge but was well-equipped with amenities like air conditioning and heating. You can ask the front desk for slippers and toothbrushes. I usually wipe everything down with wet wipes when I check into a hotel, and I must say, the cleanliness here was really good. I stayed for one night and overall had a positive experience. The location is convenient for both transportation and dining. I found it to be pretty good value for money at just over 800 for one night."

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

EEhime OmokhodionI recently stayed at Novotel London Canary Wharf and it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in London. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt modern, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable. The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from my room. Waking up to the Canary Wharf skyline and watching the city lights come alive at night was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire room feel bright and spacious, and the panoramic cityscape gave the stay a real luxury feel. Another standout experience was visiting Bōkan, the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking , you get a stunning panoramic perspective of the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to landmarks across the city skyline. Whether during sunset or later in the evening, the atmosphere is unforgettable. The combination of great food, drinks, and those sweeping views made it one of the best parts of the trip. The hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect after a long day exploring or working in the city. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout, and the sauna added an extra touch of relaxation that really elevated the overall experience. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf delivers the perfect mix of comfort, modern luxury, amazing facilities, and spectacular London views. I’d happily stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Canary Wharf.

GGuest UserThis was the first hotel for our family's UK trip. After much deliberation, we chose this Holiday Inn Express which is quite close to the city center. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, buses, and trains. The hotel maintained the consistent quality of the Holiday Inn brand. We were also lucky enough to snag a group deal that included parking and some meals. A special thank you goes to Christina, a kind and patient lady who speaks Chinese. Due to the high demand for rooms on the weekend and our first-time use of a Ctrip hotel group coupon, the check-in process was a bit convoluted, but the final outcome was very satisfying. Our family left London happily to begin the next leg of our journey. BTW, we encountered many odd Indian guests; whether it was in the cramped elevator or at the popular breakfast buffet, they all exuded a strange confidence, as if they owned the place. I wonder who gave them that idea 🤔🤔🤔

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

JJo WarawutIf you're staying here, you'll find the price reasonable, under 10,000 baht per night, especially since it's in Zone 2. Most places further in are over 10,000 baht. The hotel is clean and the service is standard. We requested two connecting suites for our daughters, and they had a sofa that converted into a bed. The furniture might look a bit dated because the hotel is old, but many things are clean and new. I liked the new Nespresso capsule coffee machine with complimentary large capsules. The tea here is also good. The bathroom has a bathtub with good water pressure, and the shampoo and conditioner smell nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a bit old and the mattress isn't very soft. But overall, it was a comfortable stay.

BBoYanboThis is a 'decent' hotel. Yes, that's the word. The facilities aren't brand new, but the mattress in the room is still comfortable, the towels are still soft, the toilet paper is still thick, and the hygiene standards are consistently good. The breakfast is a classic English breakfast, meeting the expected standards for a four-star hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a wealthy area of London with very convenient transportation; the subway station is right next door. And the price, especially during the off-season, offers fantastic value for money. Backed by the Millennium Hotels Group and Singaporean capital, it's surprisingly good – the hotel's own restaurant serves authentic wonton noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! Plus, guests get discount coupons! If I had to summarize in one sentence, I'd say this is a well-managed, old-fashioned but not outdated hotel.

GGuest UserEven though it's far from central London, it's about a 15-minute walk to the tube station, and there's a bus stop right outside with frequent services. The hotel is basic, but for the price, it's excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is an extra £5.99, and it's absolutely worth it compared to prices in the area. The room was small but functional, with a new bathroom. The only minor issue was that when we arrived at Britannia Inn, they directed us to another hotel (Park Hotel) from the same group, about 500m away.
