When booking this hotel you known it’s not going to be the Ritz so this review is fair for the type of hotel. The location is super central yet the hotel is a zen of calm. It’s a little strange having no windows anywhere but the design works to minimise the effect. Rooms are what you expect, incredibly simple but clean and decent bathroom with toiletries and fresh towels. Decent wifi means you don’t miss a TV and this is not a hotel for lounging, it’s a bed for the night which is comfy enough if a little low to the ground. The gym is an additional fee which the website doesn’t make super clear - £10 a day.
Despite the positives, the bedding was bad! Blood stained sheets and bed bugs! I was biten all over during the night and awoke to dozens of red blotches all over my body. It really puts me off returning despite everything else. It is good value for money but you don’t expect bed bugs!

Location is amazing, right in the centre underground, food, shops all within walking distance. The capsule room itself is clean, mattress comfy, nice lighting and big mirror and sufficient hooks to hang stuff. Room is very quiet and surprisingly blocks out sound so great for a quiet good sleep even in the mornings when people are packing and moving around. Love that they have a fan in the room that is great to keep air circulating but can get a bit hot but lifting the shutter door a few inches helps. Although good hook space not great for someone with more than a backpack as there is no place to put a suitcase near you. Although check out is 10am the cleaners rush and can end up clearing and cleaning your room before you are even ready to check out yet. Check in progress is supposed to be easy but in trying to make things easier they just made more unnecessary steps. Like you can check in online but still have to check in when you arrive? There is security at the door at all times which feels safe as you have to confirm you have a room key before they let you into the building. Shared bathroom is close by to the room, showers are great plenty of hot water, sufficient space to put your stuff and hang stuff, toilets lack hooks and insufficient sink space compared to showers and toilets. No room to place essentials when using the sink and although they try cleaning the shared bathroom is lacking just due to the amount of people having to share that one bathroom. I would say at least 3 rooms have access to that one shared bathroom and each of those big rooms can fit 30+ people if full. Overall for a short overnight trip I would definitely stay again just due to comfort and location.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Moxy London Piccadilly Circus more highly. The location is absolutely unbeatable—perfect for solo travellers, couples on their first trip, or even families visiting London for the first time. Everything feels like it’s within a 10-minute walk, which makes exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable.
Public transport is right at your doorstep, with train stations literally about 30 seconds away, making it effortless to get anywhere in London and back. There are also plenty of buses nearby, and you can even walk to major attractions like London Eye, Big Ben, and Westminster. The hotel is surrounded by great food spots, pubs, and shops, and it’s right in one of the most lively parts of the city.
The level of safety at the hotel is excellent, with staff available 24/7, which gave us real peace of mind throughout our stay. The atmosphere is also a big highlight—the music and bar area create such a fun vibe and can really lift your mood after a long day of exploring.
The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and exactly as shown in the photos, with clean and comfortable rooms. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were all fantastic, and a special thank you to the deputy manager who went above and beyond to look after us and made our stay in London even more memorable.
If I return to London, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you, Moxy London Piccadilly Circus, for such an amazing experience. And just to be clear—this isn’t a paid review, I genuinely loved my stay and think others should know how great this hotel is before booking.

Hard to beat the location. Right in the heart of Soho, walkable to everything. Courteous staff on check in. The room I got was the smallest hotel room I have ever encountered. Same size as my closet back home. If you need a place to spread out and access your luggage, this is not the place. For a weekend in the city where you just need a place to crash it works. The room itself was very clean, modern, and well maintained. Bathroom and shower were nice, just tiny. I would stay here again, but only for a short stay.

The bed was too short, I could barely stretch out, and it was quite narrow with a very low headboard, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The street outside was also very noisy. For checkout, I had to bring the bed linen down myself. The separate shower/toilet room was tiny; I've stayed in small places before, but this one was so cramped I couldn't even turn around.
A fantastic location in the heart of London.

Very convenient location, friendly staff.
Room is small and sound insulation is nonexistent but that is very common for most budget hotels in central London.
One thing that is very confusing is that there is a note inside the room saying this place is not a licensed hotel and it is operating independently and individually. The sign and the name of the hotel does clearly say Best Western though so not sure what is that about?

The room size and facilities were pretty average. However, the surrounding area was quite nice, and it was super convenient to get to the River Thames. You can easily walk along the river to many attractions on both sides, so the location is definitely a big plus. London hotels are generally expensive, and the English breakfast was the same every day – don't expect it to be delicious, it's just enough to fill you up. I was traveling around the UK and took the train to Waterloo station; it was about a ten-minute easy, flat walk from there.
**Cleanliness**: It was great that the hotel staff came to clean and tidy the room every day.

The hotel was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and high-quality. The only downside was that the room only had a very small table, which made it inconvenient to place things, so many items had to be put on the floor.

Beautiful hotel from the outside and in a wonderful location, a stones throw from Oxford Circus, Bond Street and Goodge Street underground stations. Super convenient to get anyway and plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants but also in a quiet street so you are no disturbed by any noises at night.
The staff were super friendly and helped with a situation with my bathroom (even though it was late at night) and were very respectful and polite. The room was a little small but absolutely enough for 1 person. The room was very clean and had a clean kettle, some tea and biscuits, a study desk and a nice sized bathroom. Overall, I would certainly stay here again. Thank you!!

The location is very good. Next to Chinatown. You can walk to the British Museum, Westminster Abbey and other attractions. There are many delicious foods around.
The bathroom is very large, a separate room, but the sink is not well designed to put toiletries, the dry and wet separation of the bathroom is not good, the bath water easily floods the floor, pay attention to wipe it with a towel in time. It feels a bit of a waste of such a large space as the bathroom. The bedroom is relatively crowded.
The hotel's stairwells and corridors are relatively crowded. It is a small hotel, and it is okay to stay for 1-2 nights.

Very Good
CchristiatheoMy stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf was overall very solid, with a few standout moments that made it memorable.
The first thing that struck me was the hotel’s modern feel. Everything from the reception area to the corridors had a clean, stylish look. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and professional, though not overly personal. It felt efficient rather than warm—but still perfectly pleasant.
The room itself was comfortable and well thought out. The bed was great for a good night’s sleep, and the blackout curtains worked really well—ideal if you want to fully rest after a busy day. The room wasn’t huge, but it made smart use of space, and everything felt practical. The view was definitely a highlight, especially if you’re on a higher floor—you get a great look at the surrounding Canary Wharf skyline.
Facilities were another plus. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and the swimming pool was a nice bonus, especially for unwinding in the evening. However, it can get a bit busy at peak times, which slightly takes away from the relaxing vibe.
The rooftop bar is probably the hotel’s best feature. The views are genuinely impressive, and it has a more premium feel compared to the rest of the hotel. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected given the location and setting.
Location-wise, it’s ideal if you’re staying in Canary Wharf for work or prefer a quieter part of London. It’s not as lively as central areas like Soho or Shoreditch, but transport links are excellent, so getting around isn’t an issue.
On the downside, the lifts were occasionally slow, especially during busy hours, and the breakfast area could feel crowded. The breakfast itself was decent, though not particularly memorable.
Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf offers a reliable, comfortable stay with great views and solid amenities. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it delivers good value and a pleasant experience in one of London’s most modern districts.
AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average.
The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer.
The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience.
We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside.
The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything.
The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient.
We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside.
On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out.
All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults.
We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.
GGuest UserVery nice staff, very helpful. Breakfast buffet available, and when I needed to leave very early in the morning they provided me some cold food(croissants, muffins, oranges and hot coffee/chocolate).
They also provide tooth brush/paste, shaving set, comb when asked at the reception.
A couple of minor things: corridors are a bit hard to navigate for me, was not obvious which door leads to elevators, needed to read the signs after getting lost 😅.
I am not sure but breakfast seems to be the same every day? On the second day of my stay eggs were not there, but the rest was the same, I guess. I loved the option that you can grab a cup of coffee/chocolate/tea with you to go after you finished your breakfast. Not sure about every room, but mine didn't have a refrigerator, but I remember in my other IHG hotel stay there was one. Also hearing is possible only via air conditioner, and the maximum temperature is regulated, as I understood.
Otherwise very neet hotel, clean, friendly.
GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.
GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience.
Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!
AAnonymous UserFacilities: No kettle in the room, lacking basic amenities common in Chinese hotels.
Cleanliness: Acceptable.
Environment: An apartment-style hotel.
Service: Standard.
The location is quite good, close to Euston Station and King's Cross Station, and within walking distance of the British Museum. If you turn left when you leave the hotel, there are a few Chinese restaurants diagonally across the street, one block away. There are also convenience stores nearby.
P.S. The breakfast wasn't very diverse.
GGuest UserPros:
- Decently sized, standard layout and comfortable rooms.
- Rooms are quite clean, service in general was nothing too special but gets the job done!
- Convenient location near buses and metro to Central London / Oxford for a day trip, close to Westfield London which has great number of F&B outlets, supermarkets and shops.
Cons:
- Housekeeping was inconsistent; stayed for 6 days, everyday was missing something different, not being replenished in the room; could be tea, coffee, hand towels, tissue paper, toilet paper etc… had to keep calling for service every night throughout the stay. If housekeeping had set up the room in standard, hassle could be alleviated from all parties as it takes the housekeeping more than 20 minutes every time to bring the items.
- Both toilet paper rolls were removed unexpectedly one night, even when we certainly left the room with them both in the morning which I find a bit funny as there wasn’t even a need to replenish - but simply removed.
- Clock timing was incorrect 6 days throughout the stay and nobody clocked that nor changed it.
- Slight wear and tear in the room but nothing too major affecting our stay apart from the bathtub glass panel seam being broken and water kept coming out of the shower.
- Emergency alarms went off at 730AM with no explanation.
- There was daily construction noise and one day the workers and equipments were all outside our room for a good 4 hours in the morning to afternoon time. Again, I don’t blame it because maintenance is important but a notice would be nice.
Overall, I think the hotel gets its job done, the room and location were decent and comfortable. It’s the housekeeping and maintenance fell below expectations.
AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.
SSvetlana….The location is great, walking distance to Oxford street, very close to the metro and Hide park.
We booked a standard double room but we were upgraded and got a renovated room on the 4th floor.
It was very warm and we didn’t use AC.
Wi Fi was good
The bed is a bit small, but for 2 nights ok.
We had coffee and tea bags.
It was clean
The staff was very friendly
The only thing we didn’t like is the lift. It’s very old and it was stuck several times, so I had to take steps
2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by.
The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away.
It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
