The breakfast was very satisfying, and the room was decent. You can call room service for slippers. I had dinner at the hotel's restaurant twice. The first time, the waiter gave me a guest discount. However, for some reason, the second time, a different waitress refused to give me the guest discount, saying I needed a special card. The funny thing is, there's no hurdle to getting this card; she gave me one right after I finished my meal and paid the bill. I just wondered, if she had given it to me before I paid, wouldn't I have gotten the discount? What's the point of giving it to me after I've already paid? (ノ ̄д ̄)ノ In between, I spent four days in Edinburgh and returned to stay at this same hotel. I wanted to store an infrequently used suitcase there, but the hotel staff refused to hold it for us, saying luggage had to be picked up on the same day and couldn't be stored for four days... Oh well, we just had to push two suitcases along. I'll post three photos of the street view from the room~

The hotel was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and high-quality. The only downside was that the room only had a very small table, which made it inconvenient to place things, so many items had to be put on the floor.

In addition, Angel Metro Station is just a short walk away. Excellent accommodation whilst on a London trip, 3 nights and no complaints really. Lovely rooms including a fridge, safe and tea and coffee. Rooms also have iron and board plus hair dryer. Quality free Toiletries however shampoo was empty. Rooms recently refurbished however bathroom a bit tired. Excellent choice for breakfast and good quality. Room wasn't ready but received a voucher for free drinks which are very expensive, £9 a beer! Staff are superb and intuitive. Negative....pillows are very soft. Would definitely return.

Given the heatwave, I made sure to search for a hotel with air conditioning. Many reviews for affordable London hotels mentioned issues like 'no AC in some rooms' or 'broken AC,' which made me hesitant, but this hotel appeared reliable, and that was a key factor in my decision. Rooms were cleaned daily, and towels were replenished. The pump on the shampoo bottle seemed to be stuck, making it impossible to use at first, but after pressing it hard, it eventually started working. The water pressure in the shower was also good. There are only tissues in the bathroom, so it's a good idea to bring your own box. The only inconvenience was the lack of power outlets by the bed, but having two outlets around the desk, plus a USB port, was very helpful. The front desk staff only spoke English, but they were all very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. I visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on two separate days during my trip. I walked to Holborn Station, then transferred at Liverpool Street to the Elizabeth Line, which took me towards White Hart Lane. I opted for this route because the regular Underground trains lack air conditioning, and I was concerned about the heat and smells; also, I'd heard that Seven Sisters station can get very crowded. The Elizabeth Line, with its air conditioning, was a comfortable ride in the summer! There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and I used it several times for various destinations. While the buses, similar to the Underground, don't have air conditioning, the doors opening at each stop meant the heat and smell weren't as much of an issue. The upper deck, however, felt a little stuffier. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I visit in the summer!

We stayed in the Annex building, where the room was very large and spacious. While the bathroom was on the smaller side, it was functional; however, a sanitary bin would have been a helpful addition. The staff were fantastic — extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great hotel for short stays, and the close proximity to London Euston makes getting around the capital incredibly convenient.

Great holiday! Highly recommended! Just be wary of the 'fake' InterContinental hotel next door. 1. Excellent location, right by Russell Square tube station. The British Museum is a 10-minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, most of which close around 10 or 11 PM. 2. Recently renovated, the rooms are very new! 3. There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, and the service is very attentive.

The room is clean, bright and well ventilated, suitable for one person to live in, as if back in college. The unique thing is that the school provides breakfast, lunch and dinner meals at affordable prices. It is worth noting that no one cleans the room. In addition, the school is a little far from the subway station and bus station. It takes about 13 minutes to walk.

Facilities: No kettle in the room, lacking basic amenities common in Chinese hotels. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Environment: An apartment-style hotel. Service: Standard. The location is quite good, close to Euston Station and King's Cross Station, and within walking distance of the British Museum. If you turn left when you leave the hotel, there are a few Chinese restaurants diagonally across the street, one block away. There are also convenience stores nearby. P.S. The breakfast wasn't very diverse.

The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for both subway and bus. It's a 5-minute walk to the British Museum, and there are Chinese restaurants, supermarkets, and cafes downstairs. The hotel is a very large courtyard complex, and while there are many guests staying, the City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel is separate, with its own front desk and restaurant. It has independent elevators, and there are security gates that require a card swipe before entering/exiting the elevator and before entering the room, making it very secure. The bedding is comfortable and conducive to sleep. The hotel breakfast is a full English breakfast. It would be perfect if the carpets in the room were a bit cleaner! Because it was quite comfortable, after booking 6 nights, I extended my stay for another 2 nights in the same room. I will definitely choose this place again next time I visit London.

Honestly I have never stayed and slept in such a small room. When my wife was up I had to sit down. My wife had to walk sideways between bottom of bed and wall to get around to other side of the bed. It felt i’d booked into a Wendy house. Breakfast was good fresh food although not much choice of cheese. Staff all very friendly.

CchristiatheoMy stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf was overall very solid, with a few standout moments that made it memorable. The first thing that struck me was the hotel’s modern feel. Everything from the reception area to the corridors had a clean, stylish look. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and professional, though not overly personal. It felt efficient rather than warm—but still perfectly pleasant. The room itself was comfortable and well thought out. The bed was great for a good night’s sleep, and the blackout curtains worked really well—ideal if you want to fully rest after a busy day. The room wasn’t huge, but it made smart use of space, and everything felt practical. The view was definitely a highlight, especially if you’re on a higher floor—you get a great look at the surrounding Canary Wharf skyline. Facilities were another plus. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and the swimming pool was a nice bonus, especially for unwinding in the evening. However, it can get a bit busy at peak times, which slightly takes away from the relaxing vibe. The rooftop bar is probably the hotel’s best feature. The views are genuinely impressive, and it has a more premium feel compared to the rest of the hotel. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected given the location and setting. Location-wise, it’s ideal if you’re staying in Canary Wharf for work or prefer a quieter part of London. It’s not as lively as central areas like Soho or Shoreditch, but transport links are excellent, so getting around isn’t an issue. On the downside, the lifts were occasionally slow, especially during busy hours, and the breakfast area could feel crowded. The breakfast itself was decent, though not particularly memorable. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf offers a reliable, comfortable stay with great views and solid amenities. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it delivers good value and a pleasant experience in one of London’s most modern districts.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

GGuest UserVery nice staff, very helpful. Breakfast buffet available, and when I needed to leave very early in the morning they provided me some cold food(croissants, muffins, oranges and hot coffee/chocolate). They also provide tooth brush/paste, shaving set, comb when asked at the reception. A couple of minor things: corridors are a bit hard to navigate for me, was not obvious which door leads to elevators, needed to read the signs after getting lost 😅. I am not sure but breakfast seems to be the same every day? On the second day of my stay eggs were not there, but the rest was the same, I guess. I loved the option that you can grab a cup of coffee/chocolate/tea with you to go after you finished your breakfast. Not sure about every room, but mine didn't have a refrigerator, but I remember in my other IHG hotel stay there was one. Also hearing is possible only via air conditioner, and the maximum temperature is regulated, as I understood. Otherwise very neet hotel, clean, friendly.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience. Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!

GGuest UserPros: - Decently sized, standard layout and comfortable rooms. - Rooms are quite clean, service in general was nothing too special but gets the job done! - Convenient location near buses and metro to Central London / Oxford for a day trip, close to Westfield London which has great number of F&B outlets, supermarkets and shops. Cons: - Housekeeping was inconsistent; stayed for 6 days, everyday was missing something different, not being replenished in the room; could be tea, coffee, hand towels, tissue paper, toilet paper etc… had to keep calling for service every night throughout the stay. If housekeeping had set up the room in standard, hassle could be alleviated from all parties as it takes the housekeeping more than 20 minutes every time to bring the items. - Both toilet paper rolls were removed unexpectedly one night, even when we certainly left the room with them both in the morning which I find a bit funny as there wasn’t even a need to replenish - but simply removed. - Clock timing was incorrect 6 days throughout the stay and nobody clocked that nor changed it. - Slight wear and tear in the room but nothing too major affecting our stay apart from the bathtub glass panel seam being broken and water kept coming out of the shower. - Emergency alarms went off at 730AM with no explanation. - There was daily construction noise and one day the workers and equipments were all outside our room for a good 4 hours in the morning to afternoon time. Again, I don’t blame it because maintenance is important but a notice would be nice. Overall, I think the hotel gets its job done, the room and location were decent and comfortable. It’s the housekeeping and maintenance fell below expectations.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.

2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by. The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away. It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
