Hotels near Chinatown (Glodok), West Jakarta

The capsules are clean and modern, so are the toilets and showers, however the rest of facilities are a little old. The staff is kind, the location is the old town which is an interesting place to visit but I personally would have preferred to stay downtown, however you can take a bus or metro and get there in around 20 minutes. I was here for over a week so in the end it's a little bit uncomfortable to stay in such small place with all my stuff (one large and one small backpack) but for a few days or with less luggage it's okay. I'd have gotten the double one if I wasn't on a budget.

Went here for staycation. The room double bed room was clean cozy but a bit dim. Bathroom, water pressure good. The hotel itself is very charming with gym, pool, rooftop bar, cafe and parking. Hotel staff are professional and kind. Location of the hotel is near CP mall for your shopping and various cafes, restaurants, and indomaret/alfamart for 24 hour convenience store options. 9/10

My stay at Hilton Garden Inn Jakarta Taman Palem was excellent overall. The hotel is new and clean, with a modern business design that feels both comfortable and high-quality. The room was tidy and spacious, the bed was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the soundproofing was good, so I slept very well during my stay. The hotel's location is convenient, close to the Taman Palem commercial area and the airport. There are malls, food streets, and convenience stores nearby, making it a great spot for both business trips and layovers. Getting to the airport is also relatively easy, saving a good amount of time. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, including both Indonesian local dishes and international options, and the food was delicious. The staff were professional and friendly, making the entire check-in to check-out process very smooth.

The room is spacious and well-equipped, offering a comfortable environment with a great view from the window. It's perfect for family trips, couples' getaways, and even business travel. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Citadines Connect Airport Jakarta. The hotel has a very stylish and modern design that creates a comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food choices. One of the best things is the free shuttle bus service to the airport, which is very convenient for travellers. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable airport hotel in Jakarta.

RThis stay was such a delight! The location is incredibly convenient—just minutes away from the airport, big shopping malls, and the lively PIK area. The room was spotless and cozy, with a perfectly working, cool AC. The bathroom was spacious and sparkling clean, making the whole experience feel refreshing and comfortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable and relaxing stay that I’d happily recommend!

Stayed here 4 nights and paid about 767 AED total, which is actually very good value for Jakarta. The main reason I chose this hotel was its direct connection to Mal Ciputra Jakarta, which turned out to be extremely convenient. 👍 What Was Good Staff effort The staff were genuinely helpful and polite. When problems happened with the room, they assisted with luggage and helped move me twice without much resistance. They also later tried to make up for the experience by offering an executive dinner at the lounge on the 17th floor, which I appreciated. Gym Surprisingly good for a hotel gym. It’s well equipped and spacious, easily one of the better hotel gyms I’ve seen. Breakfast buffet Breakfast was solid with good variety. No complaints there. Location & mall access This is honestly 75% of the reason to book this hotel. Being directly connected to the mall is extremely convenient for food, shopping and avoiding Jakarta traffic. ⚠️ Where Things Went Wrong Room issues and multiple changes I had to change rooms twice. • First time was around 2 AM after arrival because the shower wasn’t working and the bathroom felt quite dilapidated. • The next morning I had to move again because the AC wouldn’t go below 23°C, which made the room uncomfortable. The third room they gave me was more modern and functional, although slightly smaller. At least the bathroom and AC worked properly. Food quality: This was probably the biggest disappointment. One evening in the lobby I ordered chicken spring rolls and whiskey, and unfortunately bit into a bone inside the spring roll, which was not a pleasant experience at all. The staff removed the dish from the bill and offered a fruit plate, but it still left a bad impression. The à la carte food was also underwhelming. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and fries for around 354,530 IDR, and the pizza honestly tasted like a frozen pizza that had been microwaved rather than freshly cooked. Room service was similarly average. 🚧 Facilities The swimming pool was under construction, so I didn’t get to try it. Final Thoughts Overall I’d say 3 to 3.5 stars. The location, gym, and staff effort were good, but the room issues and disappointing food quality brought the experience down. Would I stay again? Possibly for the location and mall access, but I would definitely skip ordering food at the hotel next time.

This hotel offers satisfactory facilities and service for its price. All the staff were friendly and helped us find a quiet room that met our request. The food was about average, and the taste was decent.

Location is considerably strategic and close to MRT stations, with plenty of food options nearby. Cleanliness needs work, I found stains on my bed sheet and the towels looked a bit old and ragged. The shower room has no drainage, the water flows to a drainage located in the bathroom directly adjacent to it. Needless to say, it flooded 2/3 of the bathroom. Staff was nice and friendly, especially helpful with the parking provided in the basement. Facilities are good for the price, very basic but I think it's enough.
