"The hotel is very conveniently located close to the metro. However, the room I was assigned was not very satisfactory, as both the bathroom and bedroom had a musty smell. I went to the front desk to request a room change, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked that day, so they were unable to accommodate my request. As a result, I had to purchase an air freshener and handle the issue myself. On the last night of my stay, there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the entire floor. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room, so there should not have been any cigarette odor in that area. However, the smell was extremely noticeable, and it even spread into my bedroom."

"Good price to stay in a residential area of Tokyo. Plenty of restaurants and cafe, malls for shopping, less crowded/tourists, slow pace, close to big river where you can run along with. Hotel is 6mins from train station. Room size is suitable for single traveler. Clean and tidy. Hotel staffs are helpful and good in English."

"This is an amazing place to stay! The facilities are excellent, with a washing machine, kitchen, microwave, and a spacious balcony with a view of the Tokyo Skytree! The small living room also has enough space for two people to spread out their luggage. The first room I was given had a strange smell, but the host responded and resolved it very quickly! It's about a 12-minute walk to the nearest Minowa Station. I give this accommodation a 99 out of 100! 🫶🏻"

"We had a wonderful stay at Asakusa Tobu Hotel Tokyo! The hotel is in a fantastic location, very convenient for exploring Tokyo, with Asakusa Station and many attractions just a short walk away. The room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the convenience of having restaurants, shops and sightseeing spots nearby. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. We would definitely choose Asakusa Tobu Hotel again on our next trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended! 🇯🇵❤️"

"The owner is very kind and the facilities are excellent and sufficient. The ambiance is also nice. The only minor downsides are the soundproofing and the room space, which might not be large enough to fully open a suitcase, so keep that in mind. It's close to the station with plenty of food options nearby, offering great convenience. The owner's English accent is quite strong. Highly recommended, I'd definitely go again if I have the chance."

"Perfect hotel for my trip. Kita Senju is a great location that's not overly touristy but still has so many great transportation access to all the ideal parts of Tokyo. I loved the neighbourhood and the hotel was just a 5 minute walk from the station and within walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and cafes as well as a Donki. The front desk staff were so kind and friendly. I appreciated the evening happy hour which included snacks and free soft drinks and alcohol. The public bath was great and opened both in the morning and at night. Every type of amenity was available to have a comfortable stay. Would absolutely come back here again!"

"Choosing this hotel for our last day in Tokyo was an excellent decision. Senso-ji Temple is right next door, making transportation very convenient, and our transfer to Haneda Airport the next day was seamless. The room was clean and tidy, and compared to other hotels we'd stayed at, it was quite spacious – we easily opened up two suitcases (24-inch and 28-inch). What really stood out was the service floor on the 13th, with its panoramic lounge offering stunning views. Plus, the 14th-floor open-air terrace was perfect for a relaxed drink, creating a fantastic atmosphere that made up for missing out on Shibuya SKY tickets!"

"This hotel has a very stylish design. The self-service bar on the first floor offers free, unlimited bread and drinks, along with many origami and board games. Many guests gather in the lobby, making it feel just like a living room at home – a truly wonderful space. The room itself is very well-designed, but it's a bit small. It's suitable for the first night of a trip, as there isn't quite enough space in a double room to organize two people's luggage. However, it's definitely worth staying for a night!"

LlijunweiThe room was comfortable, and for Japan, the size was quite good for the price. It's super close to the subway station (West Exit). Just note that if you have large luggage and need to use the elevator, you'll have to go to the other exit (East Exit).

GGuest UserI was really satisfied with the price during Chinese New Year for a hotel in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, especially since it also had a hot spring. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The Higashi-Ginza subway station is right at the crossroads next to the hotel, and there are even two 'Ore no Yakiniku' restaurants nearby! 😍

GGuest User• located at the furthest exit from the Ikebukuro train station. have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Yamanote line. the surrounding is also filled with a lot of sus shops, with girls standing around at night holding papers and shouting at men. if you’re a female they won’t bother you but if you’re a guy stay safe.  • at night can hear some shouting from the street as well.  • good; have Refa hair dryer, hair wash etc. there’s also a laundry machine, microwave, etc. which was really nice. • space wise, I think that it is very spacious especially for a solo traveller with only one luggage but if you have two, there might not be enough space for you to open your luggage.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

ZZenchenkoOverall, the hotel left a pleasant impression. The location is excellent: there are several metro stations nearby, making it very convenient to get to any part of Tokyo. The breakfasts were tasty and varied – that's one of the hotel's main advantages. The room turned out to be quite small, which is expected for Tokyo, but there wasn't much free space. Also, the duvet cover was a bit surprising – it had a very unusual design and wasn't very convenient to use. A particular downside was the air conditioning. Over four nights, I couldn't manage to set a comfortable temperature: either the room was too cold, or the air conditioner barely blew at all. I couldn't find a happy medium. Otherwise, the hotel is good, especially if a convenient location and a good breakfast are important to you.

LLuguodeguanguangkeThe hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Senso-ji Temple, and there are tons of food options nearby. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and they even offered luggage storage. The room felt a bit like a 'hostel plus' version – pretty small, and the bathrooms were shared, but they were very clean. The facilities were also comprehensive, with a washing machine that had a drying function and a kitchen. Plus, there's a FamilyMart right downstairs. Overall, definitely recommend it!

GGuest UserLocation is 15 mins to Shinjuku station but along the way quite a lots to see. I’m enjoy the price offered for this location and distance. Laundry a bit expensive with 600 yen for 1kg. The location is next to night clubs too (you can choose to walk to Shinjuku station with other street) and worst is the hotel signboard is not obvious as it is small and in front of the hotel, , comparing to others to put up big and tall at the junction. You will easily miss it as I have walked back 3 times and finally found it by looking for white building

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

GGuest UserIt's a 5-10 minute walk from the metro, depending on which station you come from. There are no large shopping centers nearby. However, there's a Harry Potter station, a Harry Potter cafe, and a store. The hotel itself offers luggage storage. The capsules, lockers, and showers are all on different floors. It's a bit inconvenient having to constantly move between floors in the elevator. Inside the capsule, there are only two small shelves on the sides, though it does have a power outlet and a USB-A port. I really wish there was a bigger shelf, a hook, and a mini-safe.
