Amazing
GGuest UserThe space of the sleeping area was good and enough to let me have comfortable rest and sleep. There was individual wardrobe and TV inside each cube. Kitchen area was a little small, with only microwave and hot water were available. Shower room and powder room area were looking like the one at a public bath. But the whole facility was clean. With close walking distance to the shizuoka train station, it was easy to get amenities as convenience stores, restaurants, and supermarket was right there at the train station. I would be staying there again given a chance to visit shizuoka in the future.

Amazing
RRa****An absolutely fantastic stay, everything exceeded my expectations! 1. It's very close to Shizuoka Station, but make sure to exit from the North Exit. 2. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fish and shrimp – something I've never seen at hotels in the same price range. 3. They provided two sets of yukata pajamas and four towels (both large and small) – very thoughtful! 4. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were good too (though the toothbrush was a bit stiff). 5. You can see Mount Fuji from the rooftop onsen, but unfortunately, there was no snow on the peak when I visited. 6. Shopping and dining options nearby are incredibly convenient. If I ever pass through Shizuoka again, I will definitely stay here! Thank you!

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is relatively new and the facilities are decent, seemingly quite upscale. However, the service completely shattered my long-held belief that Japan has the best service. The electric kettle in my room wasn't working; I wanted to make coffee, but the water temperature never increased beyond a lukewarm setting. I informed the front desk, and a young, delicate-looking woman came. After I explained, she opened the lid and said, 'This is hot water.' I poured it into a cup, and she touched it, saying, 'That's how it is.' I told her, 'This is only 40-50 degrees Celsius, how can I brew tea or coffee with this? I need boiling temperature.' She replied that she couldn't do that. I asked her what temperature a kettle should boil to, and she said there was no standard! I then told her the kettle was broken and asked her to replace it, to which she said they didn't have any. I ended up pouring a bottle and a half of cold water into the kettle, and when it still didn't heat up, she finally took it away. Throughout the entire interaction, her expression was blank and her attitude was slow and indifferent. I used to tell my friends that Japanese people's warm service isn't necessarily because they like you, but because their upbringing and professional ethics don't allow them to be rude. Now, I've witnessed such service in a 4/5-star hotel.

Great
JJUNHO(I stayed at the Ezaki building) The interior facilities are very good. There are two shower rooms in the duplex-type independent building, so it is spacious and nice. There is a bit of a distance between the check-in counter and the accommodation, but... a red-haired English-speaking staff member at the check-in counter personally guides you. He is very funny. I have been to Japan many times, but this was the first time I had a language barrier like this, but I can't tell you how good it was to communicate with this person in English. The room is clean, and there are two beddings except for the bed, but it is not just a mat, but a topper, so it is comfortable enough, and the bed is also comfortable and nice. The service cookie is just Lotus flavored. They gave me a drink coupon as a welcome drink, but I couldn't use it, which was a shame. A convenience store is also about 5 minutes away?? Unlike regular hotels, you have to take off your shoes to enter, so it was more convenient, and anyway, the facilities are good and clean, so it was nice. There are department stores, shopping malls, Wasabi House, drugstores, Nanaya, and other shopping streets within 10-15 minutes, so it's good. The only downside is that security can be a bit weak...? Since it's Japan, there's no such risk burden, but it feels that way. It's a structure where you enter by holding the door lock key behind the wall, but um... (see photo) Anyway, that's it... So there's a little noise from cars passing by. But it's okay. Everything is great. Oh, and the doorbell sound was also the convenience store bell sound, so it was funny ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you're thinking about going here, it might be good to go ㅎㅎ Oh, another interesting thing is that you can send various inquiries or things you need to know before check-in through email chat starting the day before check-in.

OOsama BoussifThe hotel was located about 3 to 4 minutes walking distance from Shizuoka Station, and there was a 7-Eleven at the base of the hotel, so you could even walk there in your pyjamas because you didn’t have to go outside. The hotel room was nice and spacious enough for two people, and it had all the amenities we needed. The laundry room was really good and was one of the few, if not the only, laundry rooms I encountered where you could pay with cash, card, or even online (Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.). One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel did not have a smart TV, so YouTube or other streaming services were not available. This is something you sometimes miss when you return to your room early in the evening. This does not require replacing the TV, but simply adding a Google or Android TV dongle, which I would also suggest as an improvement. The only downside of the hotel was that the staff spoke or understood only limited English. In most cases this is manageable, because you do not need much beyond check-in, check-out, sending your luggage, or asking for an iron. However, in my case it involved renting a parking spot. Even though I used translation apps and tried my best to communicate, and the staff also did their best to understand and translate their side, it still did not work out. I ended up renting a parking spot just 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel in a public parking garage. In the end, this was not a problem, as you pay the same fee (1000 yen) for parking either behind the hotel or in the public garage 2 minutes away. However, my suggestion for the hotel would be to provide an English instruction sheet explaining what to do, where to park, and how the parking process works, so that future guests who wish to park will have clear information.

BbleublueThe room is bigger than the usual japanese chained hotel. The front desk staff are friendly. Public bath available with rest/entertainment space allocated at top floor. Night snack provided free daily. Close to the main shopping street and the Isetan department store. The only disadvantage is 15min walking distance from Shizuoka station, especially with large luggage due to the stone pavement. In general, highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe hotel's floors feel like a museum, taking in the beautiful retro-style interiors. The service is good, and everyone is very polite. The hotel has only one washer and one dryer, which doesn't dry well. I ran the dryer twice for 30 minutes, and my clothes were still lukewarm, not hot as usual, and they weren't completely dry. I really didn't like the lack of a duvet cover; I've never seen that in Japan. The shared blanket lies on top of the sheets, which is unhygienic. The wallpaper in the rooms is torn, and the carpet is dusty. If the windows face the courtyard, the numerous ventilation pipes hum loudly. There's no room for a large suitcase; the bed is on the floor. Breakfast includes a variety of vegetable appetizers and pickles, miso soups, ramen, and a mix of Sichuan and Japanese cuisine. The chef makes an omelet with sakura shrimp, shirasu fingerlings, or your choice of cheese. There's no fresh fruit. The only fish/meat available was salted, bony fish. Breakfast took up a lot of space, but there wasn't much to eat, and most importantly, it wasn't tasty.

GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice localisation, can’t say bad world about it :) Option with breakfast was something new for me, you got plate with different variants of food on it + “Swedish buffet” with rice, bread and drinks. Everything was very good and tasty, but some times feel like too small portions (ex. omelette). Clean room, fresh sheets and Landry option :) standard Chanel’s on tv and really good design for bed shelve (light switch’s and usb charger). Also lobby with a great manga collection to read (only Japanese language available) was nice alternative.

AAnonymous UserIt seemed to be the day of a fireworks display and was very popular that day. Check-in was done in one part of the coffee shop. We apologize when it is crowded as the general public also enjoys tea. The rooms have air conditioning, but the beds do not, so it feels very hot and difficult to stay there. There are no towels or toothbrushes. You need to bring your own. Earplugs were available at the washbasin. There is only one shower and one toilet, so you have to be patient when others are using them. I woke up in the middle of the night when someone came home and took a shower because of the noise. You have to cross a big road from the station, so it is better to go out with plenty of time to spare.

島魚The location is right after the interchange. It's within 30 minutes from both Shimizu Port and Nihon-daira, so it's very accessible. The Sawayaka Shizuoka Inter store, which I was looking for, was also a 3-minute walk away, so it was the best location for this trip. I was also very grateful for the permanent sauna. It was the Obon period, and there were foreign guests staying there, so it was almost full, but the sauna was almost never used and it was almost reserved for us. It's a pretty authentic sauna with aromatic water, you can do loyly freely, and it's outdoors, so I think it's the best sauna if you choose the right season. (I used it during the Obon period, so the cold bath was too warm and I couldn't fully relax.) The staff were very kind, and there were always staff on hand who were very conscious about customer service. I think the free drinks are a great way to differentiate the place. The all-you-can-drink craft beer was great. There was also all-you-can-drink lemon water and soft drinks, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely drink in the open space instead of having to drink in my room. I think it's very good considering the cost performance.
