Amazing
GGuest UserThis is the best value for money among similar places. It's very clean and perfect for solo travelers. The facilities are comprehensive, and there's a large common area. The women's section requires a separate key card for entry, which feels very secure. Everyone staying here is quite considerate, so there's no disturbance. It's also a short walk to Shizuoka Station. I'll definitely come back next time!

ZZhentianHighly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Shizuoka! **Environment:** You can get here by taking the airport shuttle to the final stop, Shin-Shizuoka or Shizuoka JR Station, then it's about a ten-minute walk straight ahead. It's really convenient, and super close to Don Quijote! It was so easy to grab things late at night. **Cleanliness:** The room was small but very new and clean. The large public bath on the 14th floor was super relaxing for both soaking and using the sauna. There were hardly any people, so you pretty much had it all to yourself. **Facilities:** The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I stayed for three days, and the variety changed every day. Every dish was exquisite and tasty, clearly prepared with care. The iced coffee was incredibly good, not bitter or sour – I regret not having more cups! 🤣 From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, they also offer free salad and curry rice. Paired with a melon soda, looking out at Shizuoka during the 'blue hour' was just delightful! **Service:** If you're staying at the beginning and end of your trip, you can store your luggage for free during the days in between, which is super friendly for multi-day travelers!

위지니I had a very pleasant stay at Garden Hotel Shizuoka. The location is excellent, with easy access to Shizuoka Station, shopping areas, and plenty of nearby restaurants, which made getting around very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space after a day of sightseeing. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to rest. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were smooth but one thing that surprised and slightly confused me at first was that the front desk is located on the highest floor rather than the main floor, which is quite uncommon, but it was easy to find once I realized

KKen911TTA nice hotel with excellent hotel staff. Hotel room is quite large for Japanese standards. Rooms are clean and quiet. Hotel is about 5 or so minutes walk from the train station. I was able to lug around two large luggages to and from the station and hotel. Not to far of a walk. Would stay with again, but they were fully booked. Oh well, next time i will spend a little longer in Shizuoka.

GGuest UserThe hotel is relatively new and the facilities are decent, seemingly quite upscale. However, the service completely shattered my long-held belief that Japan has the best service. The electric kettle in my room wasn't working; I wanted to make coffee, but the water temperature never increased beyond a lukewarm setting. I informed the front desk, and a young, delicate-looking woman came. After I explained, she opened the lid and said, 'This is hot water.' I poured it into a cup, and she touched it, saying, 'That's how it is.' I told her, 'This is only 40-50 degrees Celsius, how can I brew tea or coffee with this? I need boiling temperature.' She replied that she couldn't do that. I asked her what temperature a kettle should boil to, and she said there was no standard! I then told her the kettle was broken and asked her to replace it, to which she said they didn't have any. I ended up pouring a bottle and a half of cold water into the kettle, and when it still didn't heat up, she finally took it away. Throughout the entire interaction, her expression was blank and her attitude was slow and indifferent. I used to tell my friends that Japanese people's warm service isn't necessarily because they like you, but because their upbringing and professional ethics don't allow them to be rude. Now, I've witnessed such service in a 4/5-star hotel.

BbleublueThe room is bigger than the usual japanese chained hotel. The front desk staff are friendly. Public bath available with rest/entertainment space allocated at top floor. Night snack provided free daily. Close to the main shopping street and the Isetan department store. The only disadvantage is 15min walking distance from Shizuoka station, especially with large luggage due to the stone pavement. In general, highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe hotel's floors feel like a museum, taking in the beautiful retro-style interiors. The service is good, and everyone is very polite. The hotel has only one washer and one dryer, which doesn't dry well. I ran the dryer twice for 30 minutes, and my clothes were still lukewarm, not hot as usual, and they weren't completely dry. I really didn't like the lack of a duvet cover; I've never seen that in Japan. The shared blanket lies on top of the sheets, which is unhygienic. The wallpaper in the rooms is torn, and the carpet is dusty. If the windows face the courtyard, the numerous ventilation pipes hum loudly. There's no room for a large suitcase; the bed is on the floor. Breakfast includes a variety of vegetable appetizers and pickles, miso soups, ramen, and a mix of Sichuan and Japanese cuisine. The chef makes an omelet with sakura shrimp, shirasu fingerlings, or your choice of cheese. There's no fresh fruit. The only fish/meat available was salted, bony fish. Breakfast took up a lot of space, but there wasn't much to eat, and most importantly, it wasn't tasty.

MMaki DinhI stayed here for two nights, and the hotel has a very convenient location. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Shizuoka Station, less than 20 minutes to Sunpujo Park, and around 10 minutes to the Shizuoka Prefectural Office. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Ministop are also just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel has useful facilities, including a coin laundry and an ice maker on the second floor. Breakfast is available, although I didn’t choose the breakfast option when booking. Soundproofing is quite good. I slept well and didn’t hear noise from nearby rooms. Overall, the staff were helpful and professional. Considering the price, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would recommend this hotel. Photos from the window of my room.

AAnonymous UserIt seemed to be the day of a fireworks display and was very popular that day. Check-in was done in one part of the coffee shop. We apologize when it is crowded as the general public also enjoys tea. The rooms have air conditioning, but the beds do not, so it feels very hot and difficult to stay there. There are no towels or toothbrushes. You need to bring your own. Earplugs were available at the washbasin. There is only one shower and one toilet, so you have to be patient when others are using them. I woke up in the middle of the night when someone came home and took a shower because of the noise. You have to cross a big road from the station, so it is better to go out with plenty of time to spare.

島魚The location is right after the interchange. It's within 30 minutes from both Shimizu Port and Nihon-daira, so it's very accessible. The Sawayaka Shizuoka Inter store, which I was looking for, was also a 3-minute walk away, so it was the best location for this trip. I was also very grateful for the permanent sauna. It was the Obon period, and there were foreign guests staying there, so it was almost full, but the sauna was almost never used and it was almost reserved for us. It's a pretty authentic sauna with aromatic water, you can do loyly freely, and it's outdoors, so I think it's the best sauna if you choose the right season. (I used it during the Obon period, so the cold bath was too warm and I couldn't fully relax.) The staff were very kind, and there were always staff on hand who were very conscious about customer service. I think the free drinks are a great way to differentiate the place. The all-you-can-drink craft beer was great. There was also all-you-can-drink lemon water and soft drinks, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely drink in the open space instead of having to drink in my room. I think it's very good considering the cost performance.
