We had a great stay here and really enjoyed the experience. Check-in was easy and efficient, either via the self check-in machine or with staff assistance. The lobby has a cozy, MUJI-style ambiance and provides all the basic necessities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, tea bags, lotion, and more. You can also borrow a face steamer or hair dryer near the lobby lifts, which is a nice touch. On the second floor, there are drink vending machines, an ice machine, and two washer–dryer machines. One note: I don’t recommend using the dryer—it took us almost 2 hours to dry our clothes. The room itself is standard but comfortable. A big thank you to the staff for reading and preparing for my special request in advance—I truly appreciate the effort and attention to detail. The toilet is clean and spacious, WiFi connection is good, and everything was well maintained. Breakfast is provided, and you’ll need to bring the voucher with QR code to scan before entering. There’s a good variety of Japanese and Western food, so it’s easy to find something you’ll enjoy. Overall, we really loved our stay here and would definitely come back again on our next trip. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 3-minute walk from Kamakura Station. The breakfast is a set meal, and while the variety is a bit limited, the tomato soup is absolutely delicious! The overall decor has a green, nature-inspired theme, which unfortunately means it attracts insects easily. The biggest issue in the room is a step right at the entrance, which is a tripping hazard. There are no other tea bags, coffee, or water provided in the room. Its main advantage is definitely the location – it's a 5-minute walk to Komachi-dori, and it's great for a morning stroll around the neighborhood.

Room view is same as photo show, is traditional homestay so didn’t have private toilet. The way to washroom and bathroom will have warmer but after bath will be very cold in winter. Is super nearby to Kailua station and opposite is one of the famous spot, Komachi St.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The public bath was large and relaxing. There is no convenience store nearby - you need to walk towards the station to visit the closest (Family Mart) which takes about 5mins one way. There were 2 things that bothered me: 1. Position of TV. You can’t be on the bed to watch as you cannot turn the TV towards the bed. 2. There were 2 chairs and a table and the height of the table and the part you sit on the chair was same. Therefore I had to bend so much to reach down to eat which was quite frustrating

Love how convenient the hotel located. We brought our toddler travel to Kamakura using the Shonan Monorail and changed to Enoden Line to have different train ride experience. And return from Kamakura to Ofuna station is just 2 stops by JR. The train station itself have Lumine EST department store and within walking distance with lots of drug stores, DONKI, and eateries. Highly recommended. 2 adults with 1 2 year old toddler. Unexpectedly their bed is big for us yet it is a pullover bed can be extended.

Excellent stay at Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura! Clean and comfortable hotel, perfect location near the train station, Komachi Street, and attractions. We really enjoyed the morning guided walking tour. Friendly staff and a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended!

I highly, highly recommend this hotel! First, the location is incredibly convenient. It's just a 5-minute walk, at most, from the main train station. Second, there are so many shops and restaurants nearby. We're talking convenience stores, fast food like Yoshinoya, and even two large supermarkets that have everything you could possibly need! Finally, the front desk service is exceptional. They have a self-service translation device that displays the conversation on a screen, which is fantastic! Plus, it's not far from the Daifune Kannon Temple. And get this, it's only a 50-minute direct train ride to Tokyo, and the price is absolutely worth it. Oh, and if you couldn't find a specific item at Uniqlo in Tokyo, you might just find it at the Uniqlo next to Daifune Station – it's amazing. What's more, it's very convenient to get to Gotemba Premium Outlets, Hakone Shrine, Izu, and Atami. Facilities: Excellent and fully equipped. The room size is normal for a Sotetsu hotel. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. Environment: Super convenient surroundings. Service: They have a self-service translation machine, so there are no communication barriers whatsoever.

Hotel is well located. The price-quality combination is excellent. The hotel is tired but tidy, everything is clean. The bottled water in the room was not available. The tea packets and the teapot in the room were, drinking tea from the tap. At request, the tap and the smoothing board were issued. As already written, the recipe is located on the 3rd floor of the building. We were told the road in the nearby cafe.

The hotel is conveniently located just one stop above Kamakura Station, making it easy to find. The room was even better than the photos, quiet, and the service was excellent and patient. It was convenient to leave luggage at the hotel after check-out, allowing for easy travel. Getting up early allowed me to catch the sunrise and see Mount Fuji with excellent visibility. Kamakura High School was practically empty before 9 am, but there were long queues on the way back. Staying here for one night is incredibly good value! However, I recommend exploring the city for a while before staying here, as most shops close around 6 pm.

The stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable and convenient. It is located close to the train station, making travel very easy. The room was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with all essential amenities. The staff were helpful, attentive, and provided excellent assistance throughout the stay. There are convenience stores nearby, and the surrounding area is pleasant and easy to explore. From the hotel, it is very convenient to travel to various attractions. You can easily take the train to reach the main landmarks and key sightseeing spots in Kamakura. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
