Had a last-minute change of plans and ended up staying at Sotetsu, and it was surprisingly good! It felt very much like a 'Quanjishangpin' (a Chinese hotel chain known for comfort and value). The room was small but had everything I needed. It was super lucky to even find a room on a weekend, and it was quiet at night. Everything went smoothly.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by Ofuna, JR Ofuna Station, making it very convenient to get around on foot. The Shonan Monorail is also right next door, which is super handy. I think the price of 800-900 per night for this accommodation is reasonable. It feels newer than the Sotetsu hotels; this hotel doesn't look like it was renovated years ago, it seems quite new. The room size is also bigger than the Sotetsu chain hotels I've stayed in before, with enough space for two or three suitcases.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The public bath was large and relaxing.
There is no convenience store nearby - you need to walk towards the station to visit the closest (Family Mart) which takes about 5mins one way.
There were 2 things that bothered me:
1. Position of TV. You can’t be on the bed to watch as you cannot turn the TV towards the bed.
2. There were 2 chairs and a table and the height of the table and the part you sit on the chair was same. Therefore I had to bend so much to reach down to eat which was quite frustrating

This hotel is conveniently located near the railway station. There are beautiful facilities during the day and night, and it is possible to leave luggage after checking out. The room has all the necessary things.
Initially, I didn't plan to have a breakfast, but after I saw that there are several soups, I changed my mind. It turned out that even the whole menu is not enough to be satisfied. On the contrary, you will be hungry after some time. There are carrot and cabbage salads and 3 soup variants. You have an option - eat all the bread you want or just choose a hotdog. I chose the former, and it was a good decision because that way I didn't want to eat at least for some time. So, breakfast is a good option if you are not hungry at all in the morning. But if you want to eat and have a break for 4-6 hours, it is better to eat somewhere else.
So, the hotel is a good option if you stay in Fujisawa, but you need to think if you need the breakfast.

The hotel's location is excellent and it is only a 5 minute walk from the Kamakura train station. The entrance is a bit difficult to find since the hotel reception is on the 1st floor and one has to ting the bell outside the door on the ground floor entrance to gain access to the hotel reception by elevator. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is on the ground floor Muji restaurant inside a Muji shop, Breakfast service stops at 10am. There is not a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet but there is adequate selection to choose from. The rooms are cleaned daily with a change of towels and sheets. I am happy with the hotel the only downside is the size of the room that I find is a bit small for 3 persons.

Appreciated the drinks bar area and the self-service amenities. Room key is heavy and traditional and a bit of a hassle to have to talk to the front desk everytime coming in and out of the hotel but overall everyone was nice.

This gem of a hotel is located right at the right turn after you come down the escalator at Big Camera store’s side. Breakfast buffet spread is satisfactory with good variety. Room is the usual small size of Japanese hotels but comfortable and well maintained. Bed and pillows are comfortable too, not too hard nor soft. I have really enjoyed my stay here and it’s indeed a good move to base myself at Fujisawa for good value for money, while having the convenience to take the Enoden train to explore all the must-go places in Kamakura daily. As Fujisawa station is the terminal station where the train starts here it’s possible to get a vacant and nice seat compared to other stations in-between where you’ll be standing and squeezed like sardines when more and more passengers get up especially when the day trippers from Tokyo start to flock in after 10am during weekends or peak periods.

GGuest UserI didn't realize there was no TV when I made the reservation and was quite surprised upon entering the room. I understood the concept of escaping daily life, which explained the absence of a TV or clock. However, I had something I wanted to watch that day, so it was a slight disappointment.
The hotel itself is stylish, and both the room and bathroom were spacious enough for a comfortable stay. The breakfast, offering three choices, was also very satisfying.
It was also closer to the station than I expected, which was very convenient.

The unit is cleaned and well spaced for a solo traveler.

GGuest UserI really like the location that Yuigahama is close. It's just the right size to spend alone, and the amenities are fashionable and substantial. It's nice to be able to drink coffee on the water server. Unfortunately, the bathtub and the washroom are not separate, and when I come to such a place, I still want to relax in the bath, and it is very very disappointing that the bathtub cannot be filled with hot water. I wish I had a public bath nearby. After that, towels and bed sheets were a little damp. As with us, when drying with a drum dryer, it seems to have been dry at that time, but it is not dry enough, and I think it is better to extend the drying time a little more.

GGuest UserThis was the most pleasant stay in Kamakura we had! Glad to have an opportunity to write a review. I went to Japan in beginning of November with my younger brother, the weather was warm. We were intended to stay in Kamakura for 2 days (1 day in beginning and 1 day in the end of our trip). A hotel near both to Enoshima and Kotoku-in. The service was incredible. The room was neat and tidy with AC, TV, balcony and matcha tea set, also we could see a sea from the balcony. Hotel has spacious bathroom with mini onsen. The hostess of the hotel was very polite to us. One time we were late to check in, so we called from reception, and she began to apologize politely and walked down from the top floor to give us the keys to our room. We felt a bit awkward)
Then she gave us 2 towels for free, when they cost 200 yen, it was nice bonus. Btw every time we checked out, a hostess was giving to us postcards =) We had lots of positive emotions. So, I highly recommend this place to stay in Kamakura.

The room was decent and spacious, and the most impressive part was the Japanese restaurant. The service and food were amazing, and it became one of our favorite restaurants on the trip.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days, and I really enjoyed the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that the owner spoke Korean so well, and it was great to be able to converse with them. They kindly recommended restaurants near the hotel, and you can even drink and hang out with them at night. It seems they really love Korean music! If I ever come to Kamakura again, I'd love to stay here.

GGuest UserI didn't check the reviews when I booked. This hotel operates on a fully automated check-in system. As I hadn't received the check-in number via email, I found myself completely stuck at the check-in kiosk. I had to call the hotline. After a lengthy explanation and a long wait, the system still didn't indicate what information was missing. It kept loading for ages, and I was wary of pressing 'back' in case it reset the whole process. Eventually, after waiting too long, I had no choice but to go back, which meant contacting the hotline again. We ended up communicating via WhatsApp to resolve the issue. If you've never experienced such a check-in and are feeling a bit adventurous, you might find it worth a try. The room itself, though, was quite comfortable and clean. However, it only had a high, narrow window near the ceiling, which isn't a problem if you're out of the room during the day.

But the bathroom space is really a bit too small, and there are no shelves to store things, which is not very convenient.
