Close to Si Hom Market, there's a lot of food variety at night. The room was good, new, clean, and stylish, definitely good value for money. The location is excellent. Breakfast was served individually. The bathroom was nice, and the AC was cold. Coffee, tea, and drinking water were provided. I'm deducting 1 point because the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out.

Decent hotel in between the airport and downtown. A bit smoky smelling in the elevator and the hallways with a lingering odor in the room. WiFi was not the best, streaming was spotty. The restaurant was good with a large selection of Chinese food. The nearby temple sounded the drums and gong early in the morning and several times throughout the day. Even though the front desk had to be reminded of the type of room booked the service was okay.

This is a high-standard chain hotel. I regularly travel to Vientiane, so I’m quite familiar with the common challenges faced by large hotels here—especially when it comes to staff quality, which often doesn’t match the standards of big hotels in other countries. However, this hotel is making a noticeable effort to address that issue. While it’s not perfect yet, you can still clearly feel the luxury and overall standard of the property. In terms of cleanliness, aesthetics, and organization, there’s nothing to complain about. The hotel maintains a solid 5-star standard. The property feels very new, and it comes with modern technology—USB-C ports and wireless charging are available in the rooms. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Similar to the staffing issue, many large hotels here tend to struggle with maintaining consistent food quality. But here, everything passes—taste, ingredients, and variety are all on point. It feels comparable to staying at Holiday Inn properties in Thailand, which are known for their high standards.

This is a lovely hotel. It offered excellent value for money, and I had a wonderfully restful stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-maintained. All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making for a very pleasant experience. Getting to various city attractions was easy and convenient. My only minor quibble was that the salad greens at breakfast were a bit bitter. Overall, it was a great stay, and I highly recommend it!

This hotel is great for location and value for you money. We stayed here more than 3 weeks and enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The room is small. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom has soap and shampoo and hot water is good. The free breakfast is okay, but you can purchase a full breakfast if you wish. The laundry service is reasonable. You can also buy bus tickets here too. Everything is in walking distance, food night market, Amazon café, Mini C supermarket, restaurants and ATMs. I highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely stay here again when in Laos 🇱🇦

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the Mekong River and the night market. It's surrounded by plenty of amenities, and many tourist attractions are within walking distance, making transportation very convenient. The vibrant night market and the scenic Mekong River views add a unique charm to the hotel. You can easily walk to nearby restaurants and markets to soak in the local culture. Besides the abundance of dining options close by, you can really feel the lively and bustling atmosphere of the area.

Location is very good. It iş near many outdoor restaurants, bars and night market. The room had a double bed and 2 twin size beds. It had a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was a la carte and provided coffee , tea and orange juice. Staff is nice and courteous. I highly recommend it.

We decided to treat ourselves to a little family getaway at Somerset Hotel Vientiane — and it was just what we needed! Our 2-bedroom suite was super spacious, perfect for our family. We took our baby for a lovely swim, enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning, and explored the hotel’s facilities — tennis court and even a kids’ playground (though it could use a quick clean-up 🧹). Overall, it was a relaxing one-night escape right here in the heart of Vientiane.

Cons: 1. The air conditioning was incredibly noisy and right above the bed, leading to terrible sleep (and I usually sleep very well). 2. The front desk was messy. 3. The room was quite bare, yet they still charged a deposit (not really a con, just a bit odd). 4. The price for the king room was high. Later I realized it was similar to what you'd pay at a Ji Hotel, and I regretted not booking there instead. Pros: 1. Great location. 2. The twin room was affordable. 3. The room was spacious. Overall, this was the most dissatisfying hotel of our entire trip because the noise made it impossible to sleep. You'll definitely need noise-canceling headphones. Apparently, the air conditioning is like this in every room.

I had a really pleasant stay overall and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the value. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The woman at reception was so kind and made check-in feel easy and comfortable, which I really appreciated after traveling. The property itself is beautiful—the pool area is a standout. It’s well-designed, relaxing, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the stay. The room was also a great size, with plenty of space to feel comfortable without feeling cramped. Also it was an 8 -12 minute ride to the airport (depending on the time of day) which made it super easy to get to. There are also a lot of good food options nearby. I found myself going back to one restaurant, The White Elephant, multiple times—it had a great vibe, good music, food, and drinks. Breakfast was included at the hotel and had a mix of Asian and Western options—things like eggs, toast, fruit, and juices. It was simple but did the job. If you're someone looking for a more customizable or traditional Western breakfast (like bacon, made-to-order eggs, etc.), you might want to go out, but I found it perfectly sufficient. One morning they even had a pasta dish that was surprisingly delicious. The only area for improvement would be cleanliness. The shower door looked like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a while, and I noticed some staining on the mattress pad under the sheets. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s something that could easily be improved and would make a big difference. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. The staff, the pool, and the location made it a great experience, and I would absolutely consider staying again.
