City of Dreams - Morpheus Macau

9.7/10
Excellent

The Morpheus truly lives up to its reputation as the pinnacle of luxury accommodation in Macau! Zaha Hadid's architectural masterpiece, with its unique exoskeleton structure, was breathtaking at first sight. The 35-meter high atrium and the slow ascent of the suspended transparent scenic elevators create an immersive, futuristic experience. Every photo taken here is picture-perfect, truly befitting a landmark hotel in Macau. The location is superb, nestled within the City of Dreams resort. It's connected to a shopping mall, offering a one-stop solution for dining, entertainment, and leisure. Traveling between the various resorts in Taipa is also incredibly convenient. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, with flowing curved designs that create a wonderful ambiance. The entire room is smart-controlled, allowing you to adjust lights and curtains with a single tap on an iPad, showcasing cutting-edge technology. The amenities are exceptional, featuring a full set of Acqua di Parma toiletries and a Dyson hairdryer. The bathroom is generously sized, and the electric partition door offers excellent privacy. All non-alcoholic beverages in the mini-bar are complimentary, with quality evident in every detail. The bedding is soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. While the toiletries have a sophisticated fragrance and are excellent to use, I do have a small suggestion. Currently, they only include shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. It would be even more perfect if a body lotion could be added. Macau's climate tends to be dry, and having body lotion would further enhance the comfort of the stay. The 40th-floor infinity sky pool is an absolute highlight, offering panoramic views of Taipa. The atmosphere at sunset is simply divine, and it's incredibly photogenic. The hotel also boasts Michelin-starred restaurants and comprehensive spa facilities. The service is the most commendable aspect. The staff are professional and courteous, responding promptly to requests. From check-in to daily needs, their attention to detail is thoughtful and non-intrusive, making the luxury experience feel opulent yet unpretentious. It was a near-perfect stay. Whether for a leisurely vacation or a sightseeing trip, the Morpheus is well worth a dedicated visit. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Macau!

We had an excellent stay at The Londoner Macao. The hotel is spectacular, and the attention to detail is impressive. The London-inspired architecture and ambiance make it truly unique in Macao. I particularly enjoyed the musical atmosphere throughout the hotel. The British music played in the various spaces perfectly complements the decor and really adds to the immersive experience. It's a small detail, but it adds a lot of personality and truly reinforces the feeling of being transported to London. The room was spacious, elegant, impeccably clean, and most importantly, very comfortable. The common areas are magnificent and perfectly maintained. We also greatly appreciated the swimming pool and the fitness center; both were very pleasant and lived up to the standards of a hotel of this caliber. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. The complex also offers an impressive selection of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. There's so much to discover without even needing to leave the premises. A truly wonderful experience in Macao where the decor, music, ambiance, comfort, and service perfectly complement each other. I recommend it without hesitation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Choosing to stay at Andaz Hotel was the best decision ever! Although check-in took quite some time, everything else was fantastic. The room condition and location were great, and the fact that a lounge is provided is a nice bonus. It was fortunate that I could spend the waiting time there. Shuttle buses to the Galaxy main hall were frequent, so there was no problem using the kids' club and restaurants. The kids also said they want to come back again. If I plan a trip to Macau next time, I'll definitely revisit Andaz Hotel. It was such a wonderful and memorable trip!

The hotel is convenient and comfortable. I'll definitely recommend it to friends next time. The mattress firmness is just right, the location is convenient, and there's a shuttle bus directly to it. The hotel includes access to the 6th and 7th floors of the tower for sightseeing and photos. The evening view is beautiful, making it suitable for families.

Overall, I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The facilities are magnificent, the room was very comfortable, and the service was remarkable for the vast majority of my stay. I truly enjoyed the experience and, in many respects, the establishment deserves its five-star reputation. However, I do want to mention an important point for future guests regarding the hotel's transportation service. On the night of the fireworks, the hotel transported us to old Macau. We naturally assumed we could also use the hotel's transportation to return after the event. However, upon returning, we learned that the buses were reserved for VIP guests and that we couldn't board. Therefore, I recommend that future guests clearly check with the hotel, before departing, if the offered transportation also includes the return journey and if it is accessible to all guests or only to VIP guests. This information was not clear to us, and we ended up having to arrange our own transportation to get back to the hotel. I can perfectly understand that a bus might be full or that the hotel has a particular policy for certain guests. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. A staff member spoke to us very abruptly and raised their voice, even though we were simply trying to understand how to get back to the hotel. I reported the situation to the hotel upon my return. I was listened to, but unfortunately, no one contacted me the next day to follow up or simply acknowledge what had happened. It's a shame, because apart from this incident, my stay was truly excellent. A simple gesture of attention or a follow-up from management would probably have completely changed my impression of this situation. Despite everything, I still have a very good overall impression of the hotel and the quality of its facilities. I just hope that the round-trip transportation service will be explained more clearly to future guests and that this type of situation will be handled better in the future.

We'd like to start by thanking Lisa_Y once again for her kind and attentive help with our booking questions during our stay at Studio City Macau — the same wonderful support we received during the Shenzhen leg of our trip. That said, we ran into the same ”perks” terminology issue we experienced in Shenzhen. The benefits provided by the hotel as standard and the perks provided separately by Trip.com weren't clearly distinguished, so once again we had to double-check at check-in which items actually applied. As mentioned before, we believe this really needs to be clarified between Trip.com and the hotel in advance. The water park, however, was truly top-notch. It was the absolute highlight of our time with the kids, and honestly good enough that we'd happily come back to Macau just for it again. One small downside was that, despite booking a non-smoking room, there was a noticeable smell in the room. Aside from that, though, we were overall very satisfied with our stay, and it made for a wonderful trip with the children.

Lisboeta Macau- L’OCCITANE Themed Stay

9.2/10
Very Good

The room was nice, not big, but had all the necessary facilities. Housekeeping was also very good. The L'Occitane miniatures were a nice touch. The hotel front desk service process was quite long, and I had to wait a while. The luggage staff were also just chatting together. Also, don't bother with breakfast; it's not worth it. The selection is limited, and the management isn't great; it's quite chaotic. The coffee shops connected to the hotel's mall are good. Bloom, Cotiz, and Momokawa all have their own unique charm, worth visiting one by one. There's also a Cotiz-partnered Yee Shun Dairy Company Double-Skin Milk in the middle that's delicious. Remember to use the discount vouchers provided by the hotel. The hotel also provided Wynn Palace cable car tickets, which was very good and practical. Transportation is just okay. Taxis are scarce, but there's a taxi stand right outside where you can directly get a cab, and Macau drivers are generally quite friendly. There's a bus stop downstairs, and you can take the MT4 to many places. For the return trip, you have to walk about 5 minutes to the bus stop across the street. If I come to Macau again for a game or concert, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel. I'd consider a place more in the city center with more taxi options.

The biggest takeaway from my trip to Macau was getting 29 bites from an unknown insect. Macau in late August was hot and humid. I woke up around 5 AM due to an itch on my arm, and the more I scratched, the itchier it got. I bought some anti-inflammatory and anti-itch creams from the pharmacy in the morning, but they only provided temporary relief; the itching would return unbearable. Even after scratching every single bump open, it still itched. The little black specks on the white paper are small bugs I killed while having breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next day. I'm not sure if these were the bugs that bit me while I was sleeping. I reported the situation to the front desk, and they moved me to a different room the next day. I also started wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt, and I didn't get bitten again that night. It's been a week now, and it's still itchy. The hotel itself seemed to have a good environment, convenient transportation, with a bus stop and many small restaurants downstairs. However, the only thing that really bothered me was being bitten so badly by insects. I'm not sure if it was due to the hotel's hygiene or Macau's hot and humid weather.

The environment is beautiful and clean, and it's super close to the border crossing, making it very convenient for getting around. There's plenty of shopping and a great variety of delicious and affordable food nearby – truly a wonderful spot! The rooms are well-equipped, and they offer a rich and diverse breakfast. Plus, you get an 15% discount on Victoria's cookies, a Macau specialty!

The location is key, with a nice surrounding area and a bus stop nearby offering routes to various places. It's an established star-rated hotel; the grand and luxurious lobby clearly shows its former glory. The price was acceptable for the summer holiday period. Room facilities and amenities were well-maintained, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the service was good. The breakfast area was also pleasant, with a sufficient variety of Chinese and Western options, and the food was decent. Staff frequently patrolled, promptly refilling items when they ran low. Staying for two nights, it was a satisfying holiday experience.
