"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amari SPICE Penang, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and professionally handled. This is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Penang, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting for business, a family vacation, or a relaxing getaway. The hotel consistently receives excellent guest ratings for its cleanliness, service, facilities, and overall value."
"The hotel is a bit old, and the air conditioning in the bedroom was so noisy it made it hard to get a good night's sleep. However, there are lots of food stalls nearby, and it's very close to Queensbay Mall, which is a plus. I mainly want to commend Raymon (the young man with glasses) at the front desk. He went out of his way to help me, a foreigner, when I didn't have enough cash for a food delivery, and even asked if I needed cutlery. I'm very grateful for his help! Because of him, I'd still trust this hotel for my next business trip."
"The location was good. My room has a nice view. The room is comfy and spacious. However, there are 2 things I believe the hotel could have done better:
1. Receptionists: when I checked in, the receptionists were not friendly at all. They didn’t smile with me and made me feel quite uncomfortable. I booked the room with breakfast, I believe it is a basic courtesy to confirm with the guests that the booking includes breakfast and inform the guests that what time breakfast will be serving, where it’s located (there are 1 cafe + 1 restaurant in this hotel) and how can we get in (either with breakfast tickets or just walk in and inform room number). I had to ask the receptionist several times for those information (because they weren’t able to give me all info at once).
2. The food was not good. The breakfast’s mvp are chicken sausages, prawn che chong fun and croissants. The rest are cold and tasteless. We also tried the cafe at 1st floor, the drinks were ok, they have Vietnamese chicken salad which tastes not bad but I’m sure we don’t have such thing in Vietnam at all. The worst part was the pizza, it must’ve been made from frozen dough and it was so dry, so hard to bite.
Good thing is that around the area, they have a lot of restaurants and shops. If you stay there, you might want to skip the hotel food and explore around."
"[”The room was clean and tidy with great natural light. The bedding was soft and incredibly comfortable. The front desk service was warm and attentive. The location is convenient for getting around, and it offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next stay!”,”Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. The hygiene was meticulously maintained, and all facilities were complete and in good working order. The staff were polite and friendly, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!”,”The hotel's location is superb, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was odor-free, and all toiletries were provided. The soundproofing was good. It was a perfect stay, definitely worth coming back to.”]"
"This hotel is right next to the airport. When you check in, just mention to the front desk that you need airport transfer service, and they'll help you arrange it.
The area around the hotel is quite sparse, with not much to explore. You can take a taxi to Queensbay Mall if you want to go shopping.
The breakfast buffet is 35 MYR per person and is generally decent, though it's a shame they don't have coffee available.
Getting around mainly relies on taxis. Fortunately, taxi fares in Penang aren't too high. However, be aware that traffic can get quite congested during morning and evening rush hours, so it's a good idea to allow for some extra travel time."
"Location: Iconic Regency is Service apartment style which located next to Iconic Marjorie Hotel.
Facilities: Infinity swimming pool at 42 floor is great, with 4 feet depth. Gym room is next to pool.
The room has washing machine, but the detergent is not provided. The owner is so kind sending the detergent for me to wash the clothes.
Recommendation:
1) The one bedroom which stated for 3 adults, but the queen bed and one bed without bed frame to be considered for adult is unacceptable.
2) It's great if the checkout time to be 12pm instead of 11am. Anyway, thanks for letting me to extend for an hour.
3) The room is a bit smelly upon entering to the apartment. Please take necessary action."
"Have booked last minute. The overall experience is good. Room is quite. But the corridors is a bit scary as total quite. It is a building for official space and room. Very basic facilities are provided by them but is enough for an overnight stay. Downstairs has some eating place and shop for u to buy drinks and food. The water provided are super tiny 2 bottles hence is not enough. If u are solo female and not too adventurous, u might feel unsafe. It is ok for me and I hv a good rest."
"Our stay at Hotel Seri Malaysia Pulau Pinang was pleasant and comfortable. The room was clean and simple, with everything we needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and check-out. The location was convenient and quiet, making it a good option for a budget-friendly stay. Overall, we had a satisfactory experience and would consider staying again"
"I stayed here recently and had a fantastic experience. The owner is incredibly kind and provided excellent recommendations that made my trip much better.
The room itself was very spacious and spotlessly clean. I also loved the location,it’s conveniently close to a shopping mall and the airport, making transit a breeze. I will definitely be staying here again!"

AAnonymous UserI had a pleasant stay at Iconic Marjorie Hotel during my business trip. The hotel offers a modern and comfortable environment that’s perfect for both work and relaxation. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a comfortable bed and a good workspace.
The location is convenient, making it easy to travel to business meetings and nearby attractions. The staff were professional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any requests. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the overall facilities were well maintained.
I would definitely recommend Iconic Marjorie Hotel to fellow business travelers looking for a comfortable, convenient, and value-for-money stay in Penang.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help.
The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants.
The breakfast offered a good variety and tasted great.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
GGuest UserVery clean and bright. The location is also good. It's just a shame that not enough mineral water was provided for a 3-day, 2-night stay for three people – only two small bottles for the whole duration! 😂😂😂 But overall, it was very good. 👍👍👍👍
RRonin tanI was very satisfied with my overall experience at this hotel! First and foremost, the most convenient aspect was the airport transfer service. The driver was punctual and friendly, making the journey from the airport to the hotel very smooth. I didn't have to worry about transportation or getting lost at all. This service is truly thoughtful, especially for first-time visitors to the city.
The hotel's hygiene was also quite impressive. Whether it was the lobby, elevators, or inside the rooms, everything was meticulously cleaned, and the air was fresh with no unpleasant odors. The bed in the room was soft and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and tidy, and all the towels and amenities were well-stocked, making for a very reassuring stay. The daily cleaning service was also excellent; the staff would proactively clean and replenish daily necessities.
The location was also fantastic. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area with many restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. You can easily find food or daily essentials within a short walk. Whether you want to try local specialties or just grab a quick meal, it's incredibly easy. Moreover, the hotel is not far from shopping malls and public transportation, making it convenient for taking a taxi or public bus.
Ddzulhaimi zainal abidinAs we entered the unit at 9.00 pm due to last minute bookings, the unit was clean and tidy. Even though the hall's air conditioning is sweezing but well functioning. Overall, we are happy for the stay and very highly recommended for family or friends with 3-6 person as they provide 2 single beds, 1 double decker and 1 queen bed. Ample space at hall attached with the dining table. Further more, the unit located at the very next elevators, less worrying when we get in and out at night especially. Easy to get various foods and basic stuff and there are clinics and self-laundry down stairs. We will surely looking forward for the next visit.

AamirhmzhPros:
Decent Location: Centrally situated in George Town, making it relatively convenient to access nearby street food and local heritage sites.
Cons:
Terrible Soundproofing: The most frustrating part of the stay was the complete lack of noise isolation. You can hear virtually everything from adjacent rooms and the hallway—talking, TV noise, and doors slamming late into the night. Sleeping comfortably was nearly impossible.
Cramped Rooms: The room size is extremely tight. There is barely enough space to open a large suitcase flat, and the layout feels restrictive and claustrophobic.
Paid Parking: Unlike many hotels that offer complimentary guest parking, here you have to pay out of pocket for parking spaces, which adds unnecessary extra cost to an already underwhelming stay.
Verdict:
Unless you are on an extremely tight budget and plan to spend zero time resting in your room, it is hard to recommend. The lack of basic sleep quality and added parking hassle mean there are far better hotel choices nearby for the same price point.
AAnonymous UserNo pictures to share. The location is very good and easy to find. The lounge area is spacious but only has two chairs. The carpet isn't clean enough to sit on. The bathroom is okay, but the toilet isn't clean, and no slippers were provided for the toilet. The pump was broken. The bedsheets and towels smelled sour, as if they hadn't been dried properly. In my opinion, the cube sleeping area is only suitable for small people. Check-in and check-out were easy. Information from the owner was very fast and accurate.
