The location isn't close to many food options, but it's near Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Temple, and Gurney Plaza. Getting a Grab is convenient though. The staff are lovely and communicate well in English. They even allowed a late checkout until 1 PM.

This hotel is truly excellent!!! Much better than expected!!!! Check-in and check-out were both self-service, which was very convenient. The hotel environment is great! It's cool inside, clean, and hygienic. The little decorations inside are also lovely, with couplets, calligraphy experiences, and a felt board where you can leave messages. I saw so many interesting comments. The room type I booked was perfect for two people. Both air conditioning and a fan were provided, and all the facilities were complete and easy to use. Breakfast was also served in the morning. There was coffee, black tea, toast, and even strawberry jam and butter~ The open kitchen had a water dispenser, a toaster, and I even saw a juicer. The ice water from the dispenser was super delicious, and hot water was also available. There was also a laundry room, but I didn't go up to see it. The living environment was very quiet, and they even provided earplugs. The hotel staff, Ma Ni, was also amazing!!! Very enthusiastic, always smiling when she saw me~ (The room was exactly as described by the hotel, no false advertising at all~ I just forgot to take pictures of my room). Everyone doesn't need to worry about language issues; upon arrival, just scan the QR code in the middle above the main door to add the owner on WeChat. Chinese communication is perfectly fine! Then the owner will send you the main door password and your room password, which is super convenient!!! All in all, I highly recommend this hotel, everyone can confidently go for it!!!!!!! I will definitely come again~ A very wonderful stay ❤️❤️❤️

The hotel's location is decent, and the building itself is impressive. The lobby service was good; we arrived in the morning, and while early check-in wasn't an option for most, we were able to store our luggage and head out to explore. The room size was acceptable, and it was kept clean. The Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow, but housekeeping did a great job every day. There's a lively night market right downstairs, bustling every night except Wednesdays. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Mural Street. Breakfast was fine, and the restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. During our stay, there was some exterior renovation happening, which the hotel informed us about in advance. However, the most annoying issue was the highly unstable water supply during those days. We occasionally had no hot water during the day, and sometimes even a complete water cutoff. When the water did return, it was very yellow. On the evening of the 23rd, there was no hot water at all, and we had to wait until 11:30 PM for a hot shower. This was the biggest flaw of our stay, and I hope the hotel addresses and improves this.

Overall is a very nice stay. No need to worry about insufficient parking as staff will help to arrange where and how to park even if no available “parking box”. Don’t have a hair dryer in the room. May have to self bring. I didn’t need it fortunately as I brought my own. Perhaps the reception has a hairdryer. Some sheets were noticeable slightly torn. But that’s abit minor defect as the sheets were very clean. So no worries in that end.

This newly opened hotel is quite clean and comes with a washer and dryer, plus a beautiful swimming pool. However, the room is very small, and the soundproofing isn't great. The air conditioner is right above one of the beds, blowing directly onto it. Also, a quick heads-up: to get hot water for the shower, you need to press a switch button near the door. I didn't see it at first, and no one from the staff mentioned it, so I was wondering why the water wouldn't get hot... Oh, and the Penang Chinese New Year Street Carnival is so lively!

The room is spacious, and Harun always does an excellent job cleaning it; his service is enthusiastic. Facilities: Good. Service: Very good, though it's a shame they don't allow a slightly later checkout 😂. They require checkout at 11 AM, and by 12 PM, they were already calling us to hurry up and leave. They're quite strict about not allowing late check-outs, probably because rooms are in high demand during peak season. Environment: Very quiet, you can't hear any motorbike noise, and it's convenient for getting to all the attractions.

The location of Loop on Leith strikes a near-perfect balance. Although the hotel sits close to the lively Lebuh Chulia, it is cleverly tucked away along Leith Street. Its positioning works as an ideal base for urban exploration. Head north and you’ll find the refined charm of the heritage district; head south and you step straight into the vibrant pulse of the city center. The hotel embraces an Urban Chic concept, deliberately doing away with traditional heavy carpeting—a smart choice in a tropical climate, as it helps reduce mustiness and allergens. Instead, modern hard flooring and bright lighting create a space that feels noticeably fresher and cleaner, both visually and physically, compared to older Peranakan-style hotels in the same price range. Rooms here tend to be on the smaller side. For two guests traveling with large luggage, the space can feel a bit tight. It’s best suited for travelers who spend most of their day বাইরে exploring and simply want a comfortable place to rest at night—think light packers or efficiency-focused “urban explorers.” At roughly RM250 per night, Loop on Leith delivers a boutique-like aesthetic and standardized service at a budget hotel price point. The value-for-money and overall sense of comfort are impressive. It lacks the heavy, sometimes oppressive atmosphere of heritage buildings, and also avoids the blandness of chain hotels. This makes it especially appealing to young couples, solo travelers, or business visitors. If you’re looking for a spacious executive suite, this may not be the right choice. But if your priorities are efficiency, cleanliness, and stepping straight into great food and scenery the moment you walk out, it stands out as a smart option in George Town’s mid-range market. For an even better stay, consider requesting a higher-floor room—it offers a slightly more open view and helps buffer early morning street noise from passing motorcycles.

I booked a sea view room, and when I woke up in the morning, a picturesque view was right before my eyes. The front desk staff was very friendly during check-in, and parking was convenient. I'd definitely book this hotel again next time.

For solo travelers like me, this place is incredibly convenient because of its excellent transportation links. All the main attractions – whether it's the beach, historic houses, restaurants, or various downtown spots – are within walking distance. I stayed here for a week and didn't need a single taxi. In the evenings, I could just stroll out to a bar or find some great food. I even made quite a few friends! The hotel's restaurant is also very good. Overall, the value for money here is exceptional.

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to all attractions in the center of Georgetown. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the breakfast selection isn't very rich. The front desk staff could be a bit more enthusiastic. Parking can be a bit tight; if you come back late, you might struggle to find a spot. Otherwise, everything else was quite good.
