"I stayed at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre during my recent trip to Singapore, and overall, I was very happy with my choice. 😊 What I liked most was definitely the location. It’s conveniently located near Chinatown, with easy access to the MRT, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of places to eat nearby. Getting around Singapore from the hotel was very convenient. 🛏️ The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. It wasn’t particularly spacious, but for Singapore, I found the size perfectly fine. Since I spent most of the day outside exploring or working, what mattered most to me was having a clean and comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. Another thing I really appreciated was how easy and convenient everything felt during my stay. Even when I returned late, there were still plenty of food options nearby, and getting around the city was never complicated. ⭐ Would I stay here again? Definitely yes. If you’re looking for a modern hotel in a great location with convenient transportation, Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is a great choice. The room may not be huge, but the location and convenience definitely make up for it! 🇸🇬✨"

"Honestly for the price that I paid for I would say I was emmensely pleased with this hotel,the location is in the heart of Chinatown and browsing through shops and restaurants was very easily accessible and convenient. Below us were many stalls and places to eat, shop. The room was very clean, no issues with the cleanliness and condition of the room. The complimentary items provided were quite good too and shower was very nice especially after a days worth of walking and travelling. I would say the landing area is small but it was enough to open the suitcases we had and the sink in the room was typically convenient for getting ready for bed, brushing teeth and washing our face. They also had a projector which was very cute as we managed to watch a couple of videos and play music whilst lay in bed."

"Had a wonderful stay at Claude Hotel! The hotel is newly renovated, clean, and very comfortable. The room was well-maintained, and the bed was cozy for a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby food and attractions. Great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommended!"

"Great location! It's convenient for getting around, with easy access to transportation. The surrounding area has everything you need: restaurants, a subway station, a shopping mall, and convenience stores are all close by. It's also near Merlion Park, and places like Lau Pa Sat and Resorts World Sentosa are easily accessible."

"I reli enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The best part was the staff service, everyone was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. On the other hand, the facilities inside the room are a bit old, but it was within my expectation given the hotel’s history, style and price. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The location is very convenient, and the room was clean even though the facilities were a bit dated. Some minor maintenance or a refresh of the bathroom and toiletries cud make it perfect. Wi‑Fi worked fine and the air‑con was good, all at a reasonable price for wat u get."

"The lady on duty on the Singapore public holiday after the National Day was a bit crafty. Wanted to charge us $100 for checking in at 14h00, one hour earlier than official checkin. The notices on the counter clearly mentioned it cost $25 for a one hour early checkin. We did not request an early checkin. Then came the carrot. The same lady offered one room with 4 beds instead of the two rooms we had booked with free early checkin. Nice try, but we were not falling for that old trick. My wife is Chinese and she sniffed a rat in that deal instantly when she realised we would be giving up a second bathroom and some privacy of interleading doors between the two rooms we had booked. Pretty sneaky lady that receptionist Very convenient location along the river. Hotel has a leisure pool for a casual dip. Coffee and tea in the room, even a kettle but you guessed it, the only hotel I have ever stayed at that does not provide bottled water in the room. Msybe they thought the river is close enough to fill the kettle"

"Although the room wasn't huge, the bedding was comfortable and the furnishings were decent. The only downside was seeing a giant ant on the second day that was incredibly hard to kill – I had to flush it down the toilet in the end! I didn't see any more after that, and I guess it's normal to have ants in tropical Singapore. The hotel's buffet was excellent, with very fresh seafood – definitely worth trying."

"The room was very clean, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and enthusiastic. Overall, it was a fantastic experience."

"The location is super convenient, right by the MRT station in the heart of Chinatown. You can walk to famous spots like Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Toast Box, and Boon Tong Kee. There's also a mall right next to the MRT station with a Fairprice supermarket and Mr. Coconut. However, the room is seriously tiny. Forget two suitcases; even opening one requires serious space management. While there are plenty of shelves for storage, if you need a lot of space, you should definitely reconsider. On the bright side, the room is clean, tidy, and new. There are also lots of mirrors, which is great for girls doing their makeup – a vanity mirror and a full-length mirror. Soundproofing isn't great; you can practically hear hair dryers from other rooms. There was also a slight drip from the ceiling, which the front desk said was an AC issue. Accommodation in Chinatown is generally expensive, so there's not much choice. However, for this price, you could get a much bigger room in Hong Kong, Japan, or Shanghai. So, I'd recommend looking around and considering your options."

"The hotel boasts convenient transportation and a nearby hawker center. Check-in was smooth, aided by a Mandarin-speaking staff member (though staff go off duty in the evening, so after 11 PM it's self-service). Each floor has an electronic lock accessible by password, and individual rooms are unlocked using your phone. The shared bathrooms and restrooms, while communal, offer individual cubicles, ensuring good security and privacy. The kitchen area is equipped with hot and cold water dispensers and a coffee machine. Cleanliness is acceptable, though occasionally, restroom bins weren't emptied promptly in the evenings. During my stay, it wasn't overly crowded, so there was no queue for the washrooms. Most guests were young (older folks probably wouldn't manage the top bunk anyway), but everyone was polite and not noisy. There's a building under construction across the street and several bars nearby, leading to some noise at night. If you're sensitive to noise, avoid booking a room with a window, as the windows can't really be opened (I'm a heavy sleeper and have a quirky need for natural light in the morning, so I was still quite satisfied with the windowed room). Overall, it's very suitable for solo travelers. Minor issues: 1. Since the restrooms are gender-neutral, I suggest providing an alcohol sanitizer in each cubicle. 2. The luggage storage after check-out is very convenient, but the lack of any proof (like a tag) for dropping off or picking up luggage, combined with rotating staff, does pose a risk of items being mistakenly taken."
