Hotels near Hai Ya, Chiang Mai

"Considering the price-to-quality ratio, it’s quite reasonable, especially if everything else is fully booked. However, there are quite a few downsides. - The bed linens had stains and holes, and the towels were gray and worn out. - The housekeeping is extremely poor. In the shower, all the joints and corners are covered with mold, even though they could easily be cleaned with bleach. The toilet is clearly not cleaned properly with disinfectant either. The joint between the bathtub and the wall is also moldy, and the cracks there could be repaired and repainted. I saw that cleaners used the same towels for cleaning that are later given to guests, which is probably why they are gray. + Other than that, the hotel looks beautiful. The furniture is in good condition, and everything appears relatively new. The breakfast is good, and even guests who don’t eat meat can find suitable options. The air-conditioning unit’s outdoor box is located on the balcony, which makes it quite noisy. However, they do provide earplugs :) It also seems that the hotel lacks a proper maintenance team. The wall near the entrance is covered with black marks from suitcases. It could easily be cleaned or repainted, as it currently looks quite unattractive and creates a poor first impression."

"This hotel is located in the heart of Chiang Mai's Old City, right next to Wat Chedi Luang. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making its location excellent. The free breakfast is à la carte (choose any 2 items), beautifully presented, and tastes great. It also includes coffee, tea, cold drinks, bread, and a coconut sticky rice dessert – overall, quite rich. The hotel offers free bicycle usage, which is very convenient for exploring the Old City if you don't feel like walking. Additionally, the hygiene and cleanliness were very satisfactory; every corner was picture-perfect. I had a great stay and hope to return if I have the chance."

"The location is superb, right next to Nimman One and across from Maya mall, making it incredibly convenient for both dining and shopping. There's a restaurant called Nara on the ground floor with a great ambiance and delicious food, though it felt a bit pricey at 1000 RMB for a family of four. The hotel breakfast was fantastic. We stayed at Shangri-La for 5 days before coming here, and the eggs Benedict at this hotel were absolutely delicious. While the variety wasn't as extensive as Shangri-La, it felt very refined and certainly didn't fall short in quality compared to Shangri-La's breakfast. There's also a small pool on the rooftop. On our second night, we found a small gecko in the shower, but the hotel staff quickly handled it. Luckily, we're not afraid of geckos! There are many bars nearby. On the day we visited, Nimman One had a live band playing, which felt like it went on until around 1 AM. We could hear it quite clearly in our room. The hotel does provide earplugs, which would help a lot. Normally, I'm quite sensitive to noise and get annoyed and can't sleep if it's loud. But perhaps because I was on vacation and didn't have to work the next day, even with the thumping music outside, I didn't feel bothered. The band was actually quite good. The only minor complaint is that for the room type I booked, the air conditioning seemed to blow directly onto the bed. The next morning, my neck and upper back felt stiff and sore, like I'd caught a chill, although my husband was fine. The bay window is very large, and since we had two young children, each could comfortably sleep on one end. The hotel thoughtfully provided bedding for them. On our last day, we had an early flight at 6 AM and couldn't make it for breakfast, but the hotel prepared a very generous breakfast box for us, which was much appreciated."

"Love the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Staff are great at their prompt service with friendly manners. The breakfast is excellent compared to the same level of hotel. The rooftop bar is cozy and good for small group sipping. The most important for me is the room., great space & cozying with super convenient. The lobby is also serve snack & drinks at all time. The location is perfect for those who love street shopping, near One Nimman mall & MAYA."

"The room was clean. It's about 50 meters from a small alley to the main road, and the intersection is directly opposite Chiang Mai Gate. There's a night market every evening, which is super convenient for late-night snacks. There's also a 7-Eleven right next to the night market. I highly recommend this hotel; even though it's small, everything about it is really good!"

"The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and a convenient location, with warm and attentive service, making it perfect for exploring the ancient city and its surroundings. The room facilities are well-maintained and feature charming local characteristics, which I personally loved. Special mention goes to the bedding – it was incredibly clean and comfortable, leading to an excellent night's sleep. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is located inside the ancient city, is street-facing, and the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. Those who require a very quiet sleeping environment might want to consider this carefully. Also, the hotel offers a souvenir for leaving a review, but this promotion is only for Google Maps and doesn't include platforms like Ctrip, which is a bit disappointing."

"This was the second hotel we stayed at in Chiang Mai, and it's a beautiful one! The main draw is its excellent location! The room was a little warm when we first entered. Also, several people at the front desk spoke Chinese, which was a pleasant surprise. But what I really want to highlight is the fantastic service! Honestly, every hotel in Chiang Mai has great service. They even gave us small gifts! There was one short guy with a buzz cut at the front desk who would jokingly call female guests 'Princess [name], please sign here' – it was really amusing, haha. He'd crack jokes and if he saw someone needed help, he'd immediately ask in Chinese and resolve the issue right away. He helped with luggage, gave directions, and could handle everything!"

"There's a large courtyard with several adorable kittens. The hotel is very close to the airport, and they provide airport shuttle service. There's a large shopping mall nearby, great for shopping! There's also a 7-Eleven convenience store, and taxis are readily available! The rooms are very clean; they clean daily and change towels. The swimming pool is also very clean. The hotel breakfast is super delicious, à la carte, and both the Thai and Western breakfasts are amazing! The staff are very friendly; they even help carry your luggage to your room."

"We rented a car from the car rental next to the hotel – it's Google-rated 4.9, so pretty reliable! The hotel room was quite spacious, though it didn't have a balcony, haha. Nearby, there are a few Michelin-recommended restaurants and some boat noodle stalls that are popular with locals! There's also a famous boxing gym close by, perfect for athletes. It's very close to Nimman Road and also quite near the Old City! I specifically booked a hotel outside the Old City to experience something different. The breakfast at a nearby cafe was good, and the coffee was nice too. Just follow Google Maps for food recommendations, you can't go wrong!"

"Overall, this hotel was okay, but there were a few disappointing aspects. The location is good and convenient for getting around. The rooftop bar is decent and the pool area is nice enough, although I was surprised to find that you’re not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to the rooftop pool or you’ll be fined. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar and restaurant don’t open until 3:00 p.m., which makes this rule even more frustrating. The hotel also didn’t feel particularly clean, and it certainly doesn’t have the feel of a newly opened property. One of my biggest frustrations was trying to get an iron. I asked for one nearly every day during my stay, but the staff were never able to locate one. Finally, be careful if you use the coffee machine. It shakes quite abruptly while dispensing coffee, which caused my cup to fall out and smash. It would be good if the hotel addressed this for future guests. Overall, the location is the main highlight, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve."
