The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location with a metro station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore all of Istanbul. The breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. What truly made our stay special was the amazing staff. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel offered everything our family needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Akgun Istanbul Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. "I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. **Location** Conveniently located – 5 minutes to tram T1 (the main tram line that runs through the entire city center) and 5 minutes to the bus stop, where numerous buses depart, including those to Taksim Square, and from there, HAVABUSIST buses to the airport. **Breakfasts** There are always salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, omelets, and cereals; other items vary. I stayed for 3 nights and I’m not particular about food, but Turkish cuisine is quite oily – you should be prepared for that. **Room** Shower gel, shampoo, soap, a mini-fridge, and air conditioning are provided. My window faced the courtyard, so it was quiet, but there are mosques nearby, and all the calls to prayer (namaz) are clearly audible. It's important to note that the hotel is located in the Laleli district – it’s close to Sultanahmet, but it’s also a huge textile market. There's trading everywhere. **Hotel Staff** The staff are incredibly pleasant, friendly, and hospitable people. They are always ready to guide you, inform you, and offer advice. Very responsive! Many thanks to them."

"The stay was okay overall. The hotel has a convenient location near Taksim, and everything was generally normal for a short stay. The staff were fine and the room was acceptable. However, the air conditioning was not working properly, and the fridge was also not working. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room/bathroom. The toilet and bathroom were quite small and narrow. Overall, it was an average stay. The location is good, but the hotel could improve the room facilities, especially the air conditioning, fridge, cleanliness and bathroom."

"Decent room, the hotel is located near the Grand Bazaar. By the way, the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, so if you're planning to shop, don't leave it until then. The hotel has a spa. It's expensive but not bad. I had a medical massage the day before flying home. I ended up suffering from back pain, when I actually wanted to relax my muscles. The hotel room was clean, and the breakfast seemed to have a wide variety, but for example, the omelet was undercooked and the eggs weren't done. The music was like in a luxury restaurant, but we just had some tea and went to a cafe for a proper meal. It was difficult to get to the hotel by car using maps. The navigation kept leading us to the wrong spot. In the end, we walked uphill with our suitcases on a steep incline."

"We chose this hotel for our trip to Istanbul. The location is excellent; trams run until midnight, and it's just a 3-minute walk from the tram stop. We drove and left our car in the hotel's parking lot for three days. The parking area can accommodate about 7-8 vehicles. The cleanliness was impressive; we had absolutely no issues regarding hygiene, even though my wife is quite particular about such things. For initial entry, staff open a locked door, and then guests use their room key cards, which provides a great sense of security."

"Traveling with my wife, we booked a special offer room. First, the pros: 1. We were on the sixth floor, and the room was very clean. The front desk manager was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. 2. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. To the left, there were ancient Byzantine city walls, and to the right, the city skyline – truly beautiful. 3. Transportation is extremely convenient. There's a T1 tram station just 300 meters away and countless bus stops, offering direct access to various attractions. 4. There's a Carrefour supermarket about 500 meters away, and many traditional Turkish restaurants nearby that are delicious, affordable, and don't rip off tourists. Now, the cons: 1. It's probably because we booked a special offer room, which meant the room quality wasn't the best. The bathroom drain had a daily unpleasant smell after showers, which was quite annoying. 2. The air conditioner was very old and emitted a musty, sour odor when operating. We had to set it to 16 degrees (the lowest) to reduce the smell to an unnoticeable level. Summary: I would definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Istanbul, but I'll make sure to get one of their more expensive suites."

"The service was very welcoming, the room was clean and didnlt look shaby. One thing ithat I need to mention is that the walls were very thin so that other ppl from outside could be heard and i guess we as guests too if we were to loud.. The location was kinda off bc it was in the southern part of fatih, where the next tramstation is 10-15min away. Neverless, it is a nice place to stay if u are looking for a budget option and are not scared to walk a bit to the station. ps: the walking wasnt that tiresome bc on the way were plenty cats which u could pet :)"
