"Our first hotel in Turkey was a delightful and heartwarming surprise. The room was clean and tidy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a great view. Muat and Resur at the front desk found out we were checking out late at night and would miss breakfast, so they specially prepared sandwiches, fruit, and drinks for us to take away – we were so touched! And the two gentlemen working the night shift on July 1st were also incredibly kind; they helped us communicate with the taxi driver and even checked the fare to make sure we weren't overcharged. It was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose the Edition Old Town Hotel again if I return! ❤️"

"Wonderful location. It's tough with luggage going up and down the stairs, so a transfer is definitely needed. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning, especially in the evening. We booked this hotel specifically for that view. The pool is small, and a swim cap is mandatory; you'll have to buy one if you don't have one. I wasn't a fan of the massage; it was given by a man, and the price was steep. The sauna and hammam were a nice bonus. The pillows and bed were very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!"

"This was our second stay at this hotel. Among all the options, Galatahan stood out for its location, breakfast availability, and price. It's part of a mini-hotel association, and the staff are pleasant. Regarding the downsides, we had requested a room away from the elevator, but we were given one right next to it. In the mornings, guests waiting for the elevator would chat, and it was quite audible. However, the view compensated for everything. So, if you're an early riser, room 41 might suit you. But there were a few things that could be improved: 1) There was no shelf in the bathroom, only traces that one used to be there… it was inconvenient to place toiletries on the edge of the sink. 2) The hairdryer was on its last legs – the cap was broken, it rattled, and it overheated… I was worried it would burn my hair. 3) On our last day, it rained, and water dripped from the window, soaking my foot (which meant my last clean sock before my flight was ruined). 4) The pillow had split into two large lumps. 5) The TV remote stopped working, so we had to turn on the TV using the button on the set itself. If these minor issues don't bother you, and you're looking for an affordable place with breakfast and a good location, then go for it. Many hotels in Istanbul are in a similar condition unless you're opting for a heavy luxury suite."

"The hotel's location is pretty good, within a 15-minute walk to attractions in the old town. It's also just a 3-minute walk from the hotel where the 007 movie was filmed. The room was standard, had everything we needed, and the breakfast offered a good variety. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the ferry terminal is only 10 minutes away. Overall, it's a decent place. The only downside is that taxis can't access the street in front of the hotel during the day, so we had to drag our luggage uphill for a bit. There were two cute cats at the hotel entrance!"

"the location was absolutely perfect - most of the sights are within a 5 minute walking distance, while the hotel itself is located on a clean, quiet street with gorgeous buildings. no big crowds! the walk to the Bosphorous also takes no more than 5 minutes. you can find anything there, even the souvenir store across the street had a great assortment and prices. breakfast was simple but good. the room was clean and comfortable. all the staff were very nice and welcoming. will definitely return in the future❤️ grateful to everyone"

"Facilities: Plenty of power outlets, enough to charge two phones, two power banks, and a tablet. Free drinking water is provided, but the mini-bar is chargeable. Cleanliness: Good, very clean. The room isn't large but it's tidy. Service: The manager was very welcoming, explaining the hotel's services and its proximity to attractions. We also received two welcome drinks, and the Turkish black tea was excellent! The staff were all very warm and helpful, which was great. Environment: Located in the old town, with entrances on two streets (the back entrance requires a key card to enter). There are many breakfast places nearby, and it's within a 10-minute walk of the Archaeological Museum, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, New Mosque, and other major sights. The metro station is right next door, making it very convenient to get to SAW Airport."

"The big plus of the hotel is the view from the window (see photo), as well as the polite staff. There are many questions about the rest. This is a hotel without long corridors, that is, all the rooms are located near the stairs, so you can hear everyone going up and down. There are gaps in the doors, so whether there is a door or not is very noisy. By 9 o'clock cleaning begins, the vacuum cleaner makes noise. You will also hear this clearly. I was saved by headphones, I slept in them all 4 nights. The sheets were in pellets, but upon request they were immediately replaced. The bathroom is clean and relatively recently renovated, but the room as a whole is very tired"

"A very good hotel located in the historical center of Istanbul. The location is excellent — within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar, which is very convenient for tourists. The rooms are clean, cozy, and decorated in a classic Ottoman style. The staff is polite and always ready to help. I particularly enjoyed breakfast with a beautiful city view from the restaurant's terrace. Pros: • excellent location • friendly staff • good breakfast • clean rooms • beautiful rooftop view Cons: • noise can be an issue in some rooms • interior isn't the most modern Overall, it's a good option for a few days' stay, especially if you're here for sightseeing. I would stay at this hotel again. Rating: 8.5/10"

"The hotel is extremely clean compared to other 5 star hotels in Turkey. The staff at reception. Together with Staff in the restaurant , concierge and the bell boy were all extremely helpful and polite. Always ready to help. The restaurant dinner and breakfast was absolutely fantastic 👌. The hotel is very well located. It is a 15 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia, Bascillica Cistern, Blue Mosque. 7 mins walk to Grand Bazaar . The interior of the hotel looks magnificent with the old style charm but all newly renovated. I would highly recommended this hotel to stay in Istanbul. 😀😃😄"
