"This is an excellent hotel for exploring the sights of Istanbul. We were able to walk to most of the attractions. The hotel is clean and cozy, and complimentary Turkish tea is offered in the lobby throughout the day. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful; we felt very welcome. The hotel has a few parking spaces right in front of the entrance, and they assisted us with parking our car there. The parking was free, which was very convenient. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It had facilities for making tea and instant coffee, and drinking water was provided daily. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There are cafes, restaurants, a bazaar, and shops near the hotel, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the Bosphorus waterfront and a pedestrian bridge. We had a wonderful time in Istanbul and are happy we stayed at Hotel Sistina Old City. We heartily recommend it."

"For a trip to Istanbul's Old City, the Hampton by Hilton Sirkeci is a top choice. Its location is a major highlight, just a short walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. It's also right next to Sirkeci train station and a tram stop, making intercontinental travel and sightseeing incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is new and clean, with compact yet practical room layouts, comfortable bedding, and excellent water pressure in the bathrooms. Housekeeping is thorough daily. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of Turkish local dishes and Western light meals, and complimentary tea and snacks are available all day. They have a 24-hour front desk and a small gym. The front desk staff are friendly and professional, always ready to help with travel planning or arranging taxis. Overall, it offers great value for money, making it a hassle-free stay for pure tourists."

"Decent room, the hotel is located near the Grand Bazaar. By the way, the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, so if you're planning to shop, don't leave it until then. The hotel has a spa. It's expensive but not bad. I had a medical massage the day before flying home. I ended up suffering from back pain, when I actually wanted to relax my muscles. The hotel room was clean, and the breakfast seemed to have a wide variety, but for example, the omelet was undercooked and the eggs weren't done. The music was like in a luxury restaurant, but we just had some tea and went to a cafe for a proper meal. It was difficult to get to the hotel by car using maps. The navigation kept leading us to the wrong spot. In the end, we walked uphill with our suitcases on a steep incline."

"The service was very welcoming, the room was clean and didnlt look shaby. One thing ithat I need to mention is that the walls were very thin so that other ppl from outside could be heard and i guess we as guests too if we were to loud.. The location was kinda off bc it was in the southern part of fatih, where the next tramstation is 10-15min away. Neverless, it is a nice place to stay if u are looking for a budget option and are not scared to walk a bit to the station. ps: the walking wasnt that tiresome bc on the way were plenty cats which u could pet :)"

I want to share why this hotel is a real find in Istanbul. 1. **Fantastic Location** The hotel is located in an amazing area. It's easy to walk to absolutely everything: Sultanahmet Square, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia – all are nearby. Süleymaniye Mosque, New Mosque, Galata Tower, and the famous Galata Bridge are also within walking distance. There's a pier, a promenade, and a very lively and atmospheric neighborhood close by. Plus, the T1 tram stop is right next door – from here you can easily get to any part of the city (whether it's Taksim or the train station). It's the perfect base for a tourist! 2. **Convenient Entrance and Reception Layout** The reception is right next door, and the hotel entrance is through an adjacent door. Everything is simple and clear, with no difficulties checking in. 3. **Room 202 – Simply Fantastic** I got the wonderful Room 202. It's very clean, and the condition is excellent, even beautiful. Everything works flawlessly. The cleaning was genuinely done every day, and housekeeping was top-notch. Special thanks to the housekeepers: it's a pleasure to return to the room after walks. It's also nice that complimentary tea, coffee, and powdered milk are provided. The window view isn't great – it's of a roof – but we had peace and quiet and could sleep perfectly. There are rooms with street views where trams pass until midnight. 4. **Breakfasts – Beyond Praise** Breakfasts are served in a cozy café on the ground floor. It's not just a 'buffet'; it's a real feast for the taste buds. The breakfasts are wonderful and very diverse. Honestly, it's rare to find such excellent and rich breakfasts even in more expensive hotels. **Conclusion** I definitely recommend this hotel. It meets all our criteria: convenience, cleanliness, location, food, and attention to detail. It's clearly no coincidence that it has such great reviews. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"A lovely hotel in the historical centre of Istanbul. The staff was friendly from the receptionist to cleaning girls. - Room was not big, but it’s enough while travelling. I fell in love with bad: comfortable soft mattress and pillows, clean bad linen. Great! - Good bathroom with shower. There were no problems with hot water or stream. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are included. - Tasty breakfast in European style but always with some Turkish delights Metro station is in 2 min from the hotel, make it convenient to reach the airport even with a big luggage."

"We stopped in Istanbul for a couple of nights in mid-July during our big trip around Turkey. Great hotel, fantastic location and service. Utkan and all team was so nice and friendly. Overall, the staff tried to anticipate every request, we were very impressed. The hotel is very close to all the main attractions of Istanbul, it was interesting to explore the old streets of the ancient city. I would especially like to highlight the hotel rooftop with its view like from an old postcard. Drinking a morning cappuccino at dawn with a view of the Golden Horn is an unforgettable moment in life. Definitely recommend it."

"The location was great! There are many tourist attractions nearby, and it's only a 3-minute walk from the station, so it was very convenient! The room and shower room were smaller than I expected, so larger people might feel cramped. The front desk staff always greeted me with a smile, so I felt very safe. I'd like to stay here again!"

"This was our second stay at this hotel. Among all the options, Galatahan stood out for its location, breakfast availability, and price. It's part of a mini-hotel association, and the staff are pleasant. Regarding the downsides, we had requested a room away from the elevator, but we were given one right next to it. In the mornings, guests waiting for the elevator would chat, and it was quite audible. However, the view compensated for everything. So, if you're an early riser, room 41 might suit you. But there were a few things that could be improved: 1) There was no shelf in the bathroom, only traces that one used to be there… it was inconvenient to place toiletries on the edge of the sink. 2) The hairdryer was on its last legs – the cap was broken, it rattled, and it overheated… I was worried it would burn my hair. 3) On our last day, it rained, and water dripped from the window, soaking my foot (which meant my last clean sock before my flight was ruined). 4) The pillow had split into two large lumps. 5) The TV remote stopped working, so we had to turn on the TV using the button on the set itself. If these minor issues don't bother you, and you're looking for an affordable place with breakfast and a good location, then go for it. Many hotels in Istanbul are in a similar condition unless you're opting for a heavy luxury suite."
