The hotel's location is excellent, right in Chinatown. It's a 5-minute walk from the metro station and about a 12-minute walk to the ferry terminal. Given Bangkok's heavy traffic, having access to the metro and ferry is incredibly convenient. The rooms are comparable to economy hotels in China, with rather dated amenities. The breakfast restaurant is on the 14th floor, which is right below the rooftop, where there's a small swimming pool. However, not many guests seemed to use it. The breakfast selection was limited and, honestly, quite ordinary. Since my booking included breakfast, I just made do with what was available.

My stay at ASAI Bangkok Chinatown was, on the whole, very good. The location is definitely the main advantage; stepping out, you're right in the bustling heart of Chinatown, with an abundance of local delicacies. Transportation is also incredibly convenient, as it's just a short walk to Wat Mangkon MRT station, making it very easy to get to other parts of Bangkok. Regarding the room details, while the space is indeed a bit on the smaller side (it might feel a bit cramped if you have a lot of luggage), the overall design is very modern and comfortable. What truly stands out is the view from the window, where you can see the vibrant atmosphere of Bangkok's Old Town contrasting beautifully with the modern new landmarks in the distance – this visual juxtaposition of old and new is truly fascinating. In summary, if location and transportation are your top priorities, and you're fine with a smaller room, this is a very interesting and convenient accommodation choice.

This hotel offers good value for money, especially considering its Chinatown location. It was a bit tricky to find, but I eventually managed. It's located to the right when you're heading into Chinatown, down an alleyway next to an old lady selling bananas. Right at the entrance of the alley, there's a shop selling large ceramic items. The hotel room has a small kitchen, which is great for buying groceries and cooking. While the room isn't huge, it has all the essentials. I'd definitely book again if I need a place to stay.

Quite hard to find at first if you are arriving in a taxi because you will have to walk a short distance to the hotel but once you are at the hotel the lobby and front of hotel is very nice. The room is spacious and has everything you need, the aircon works brilliantly and the beds are comfy. The staff members are polite and happy to help. The view from the rooftop is beautiful and it is in a good location for travellers to get either boat shuttles or if you need to get on the metro line. The only downside i can say I had from my stay at this hotel is that it can be slightly noisy at night with the rooms having thin walls so I was woken up once or twice during my stay but this is nothing a pair of earbuds can’t fix. Overall a great stay at a good price right in the heart of Bangkok, would definitely stay again.

We had a X 4 poster wooden bed on a large high frame X 1 side of which was actually X 2 large beds pushed together meaning X 1 people was on the inside wedged up against a wall !!!! Totally impractical & dangerous when trying to get out of it ..... High drop down onto a concrete floor.. Usual slippers that are normally complementary... On departure the reception staff asked if I could return them .. When I questioned ...surely they won't be re-used by other guests ...I got no response.... Only If you want to keep them there is a charge of 150thai baht . Breakfast room .... The A-C was turned so low / cold that you need thermals on to try feel comfortable. Will not be returning to Shanghai mansion in the future . + No swimming pool ....

The front desk staff speak Chinese and are all very polite, and the price is very budget-friendly. The hotel is brand new, having just been renovated a few months ago, and it's super clean inside. The interior design is comparable to hotels like 'Quanjijia' or 'Atour' in China. The hotel boasts excellent, fully smart appliances, including a huge TV, which are all incredibly convenient to use. The room is super spacious with high ceilings, so there's no cramped feeling at all. Located right at the entrance of Bangkok's Chinatown, the location is truly exceptional. There's a seafood restaurant downstairs from the hotel, and it's also very delicious. The hotel breakfast is good too. There's a laundry room on the second floor, which is very convenient for washing clothes. The soundproofing of the hotel is decent; you can't hear the sounds of Chinatown downstairs, though you can hear some noise from other guests in the hotel hallway, but it's acceptable. I didn't take pictures of the room, but it looks exactly like the photos, no difference whatsoever. My family and I didn't have any specific requirements for the view outside the window, so it didn't bother us that our view was of residential buildings. If you prefer, they do have rooms with balconies you could consider. The hotel cleans the room daily, and the bathroom is spotless and very spacious. The decor is entirely modern, and it's pretty accessible to most places; we didn't mind taking taxis. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and a currency exchange nearby with very good rates, highly recommended. Overall, this is the most satisfying four-star hotel I've stayed at in Bangkok!

Cleanliness was amazing. Staff was very smiley and helpful at its finest. We stayed there as a family for 4 nights. The rooms are quiet, well equipped and close to all attractions. There were no issues with any kind of smell or bugs in the room. Also, the areas they provided for guests to have meal or spend time was just amazing. I really loved this hotel honestly. Wish them all the best.

Overall experience with the hotel staff, location of hotel perfect. But need to highlight the following: 1. Room when checked are not properly prepared. Floors are dirty. Strains of hair all over . 2. Stains on the bedsheets. 3. Kettle n cups provided are very old with stains. Think time to change 4. Toilet needs sprucing up . Shower drainage bit choked when showering and small cracks on the tiled floor. Only impressive item is the tv. Least it’s the latest android tv. Good for entertainment at night in the room

Staying at the B2 Bangkok Chinatown Yaowarat Premier Hotel with my family exceeded our expectations. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of Chinatown. Step downstairs, and you're immediately immersed in the vibrant night market and food stalls, making an evening stroll to soak in the atmosphere incredibly convenient. It's also great for families with kids; many attractions are within walking distance, and getting a taxi to major spots like the Grand Palace or ICONSIAM is quick and easy. The hotel staff are friendly, and having Chinese-speaking employees made communication seamless. The room was clean and spacious, and the soundproofing was excellent; despite being in a bustling area, it was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Breakfast offered a wide variety of Chinese and Thai dishes, and the kids loved it. I highly recommend this hotel to families looking to deeply experience Bangkok's local culture, who value convenient travel, and are traveling with children. The price is very competitive for similar hotels, offering great value for money. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok.

GGuest UserYou won't find a better value hotel in Bangkok. It's really close to the pier, and you can get to central Asok in just 20 minutes by boat. The hotel is brand new, the gym is well-equipped, and the infinity pool is quite large and absolutely stunning – it uses filtered seawater. Breakfast is also very good. Highly recommended!

AAlexTannThis hotel was the last stop on our trip to Thailand. Compared to The Nai Harn, it felt grander and more business-oriented, which was evident from the breakfast spread – definitely geared more towards business travelers. We stayed on the executive floor, though it wasn't an executive room itself... which I found a bit odd. The hotel's decor has a retro, old-fashioned vibe, making it feel less like a holiday retreat for me personally. However, these weren't major issues. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent. The main pool was quite busy, possibly because two youth football teams were staying there, so there were lots of people playing and having fun. It was still a good experience overall.

GGuest UserI booked a river view room, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic sight of the Chao Phraya River's nightscape. The room was clean and tidied daily. Breakfast was a generous spread. Walking out and turning right, it's about a 5-minute stroll to Asiatique The Riverfront. From 10 AM to 8 PM, there's a boat service every hour from the hotel to the Central Pier. From there, you can take another boat for 10 Baht per person directly to ICONSIAM on the opposite bank. For 600 baht a night including breakfast, the value for money is really good.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better. Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

GGuest UserThe hotel location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain station. There's also a connected walkway from the second floor of the adjacent EmSphere mall, so you don't have to walk in the sun. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of food, entertainment, supermarkets, convenience stores, massage places, and malls – very convenient. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to Asok station and Terminal 21. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities and decor are a bit dated, but it's generally clean and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly.

AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights. Cons The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation. The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are. A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened. There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only. The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable. There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened. The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone. The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove. Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling. Pros The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person. Clean bed linen. The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure. The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery. There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed. The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls. The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel. Overall Suitable for a short stay of one night. The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos. The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for four nights. Many reviews mentioned the hotel's remote and inconvenient location. It's true that it's nestled in a quiet alley within a wealthy Sukhumvit neighborhood, so the location itself isn't an issue, and it's suitable for longer stays. It's quite far from tourist attractions, and the alleys in Sukhumvit are winding and don't connect well, which can be troublesome if you're walking. However, I always took taxis, so it was fine. It's a bit of a distance from 7-Eleven. The environment and facilities are definitely up to four-star standards. The security guard was very proactive and responsible. My two points of confusion were: first, upon check-out, the front desk insisted I wait for them to inspect the room before leaving, even though I had already paid a deposit. Second, after the room was cleaned, the hand towels and floor towels were removed, and only one regular towel was left. I don't understand this practice, and in the subsequent days, fewer and fewer towels were left after cleaning.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated almost the end of silom but close to Hindu temple for me to visit and more convenient for me to worship almost everyday when I get bored or when I have Sth in my mind . The breakfast is the same old same old and no matter time fly so is the same but u need to rotating the hot breakfast menu and too minimise a food cost and food waste after service. The room was great ! And thanks for an upgrade with the tup and made me to relax after the humid and hot day or after window shopping. The room is clean and housekeeping are friendly and ask for the service . Staff are friendly for checking in and I feel bad when staff complain and u under the pressure and have to get police involve and I want to step up and help u to rectify a problem but I am off duty as I am on a short vocation so next time and don’t be afraid and stay tough with this people cause they complain too much but always pay less and expect more or not enough ( tell them ) or ask them to go to neighbour hood hotel instead or try to negotiate with them and catering the best u can by not getting affect by room revenue . I hope to see u again in the future maybe in other excutive room with a bath tub and view but u all need to refurbish some room or the best type of room to upgrade or selling to a guest and increase room revenue incremental .
