Hotels near Olde Pink House, Savannah

I was in Savannah for depositions. If I am being honest, Planters Inn was not my first choice as I usually stay within the Hilton family. But those hotels were all booked. I was a little apprehensive having seen a few bad reviews, but chose Planters Inn because it was the closest to where I needed to be. to be. In hindsight, I am glad the Hilton properties were booked. The hotel has much more character than the other guys. Yes, the property shows its age, but it is well maintained. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I am used to at much higher priced hotels. The staff, however, is what makes the Planters Inn a real gem. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond with a few late-night tasks I needed to complete in preparation for my work the following day. I plan to return to Savannah with my wife in the near future as tourists (I had no real time for sightseeing on his trip), and when I do I will be staying at the Planters Inn.

I feel like there is zero value here. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and got a dirty coffee machine( the water holding compartment was full of some flakey stuff), a dirty sink, no toiletries, and a banged up and super loud a/c. The staff however were super nice! However, I will never stay here again as I paid $900 for two nights stay, and the rooms are just standard rooms. I could have stayed anywhere for that kind of money. One of the fees was a “destination” fee for $25. Yay! I arrived. Charge me money?

I made reservations then called the hotel to Badger sure they had them.”Lady A” answered the phone, she was just as polite on the phone as she was in person, she checked us in upon our arrival. We had a leak in the bathroom that was wetting the carpet, informed David at the front desk he immediately phoned Zach in house services and within minutes he was at our door. Zach observed what was happening and immediately moved us to another room, and provided us with complimentary parking which was a huge plus. The hotel is close to the square and the riverfront which we enjoyed the proximity of everything. Only used our car to go to Walmart and The Outlets. Will definitely visit again, Customer service was A1.

Great hotel. You can use the valet parking ($50) or a public parking just across the street ($5). The hotel is beautiful, cleaning, offers a good breakfast.

The hotel is really nice, though a bit hard to find. Beautiful interior decorating,  including our room: the Clark Gable. The best thing about the hotel is the location: easy walking distance to The Vault, Foxy Foxy, other eateries. Not far from the park. The main drawback for the Clark Gable room was the problem of air conditioning. The room has a room air conditioner which exhausts through a window. At night it is loud though the hotel owners thoughtfully provided ear plugs. But the problem is that even if you turn the AC down to 72%, it could not cool the room on a not very warm September night. Both my wife and I woke up early sweating because the room was too hot and muggy. Other guests say the temperature was great in the main building, so if we return we will get a room there. 

The Card was swiped more than twice for security deposit with two different Credit Cards. However, Hotel system did not show the correct amount. USD 200 + USD 200 + USD 100 was deducted from the cards and hotel was not aware of this extra transaction. Finally Miss Dawn could locate it. She was kind to give some credits as well.

Better than domestic Samsung, the bedding towels are white and clean, you can ask for them at any time, that is, there is no room service after 10 o'clock, you have to throw the garbage out and change the garbage bag. Dirty towels should also be placed in the linen basket at the door, and go back to the lobby to get the towels at night. Hot coffee in the lobby has been provided free of charge, disposable paper cups, and the quality is very good. The lobby bar is enough to sit and enjoy and watch pedestrians passing by outside. Free breakfast is also ok. There are eggs and bacon, bread, coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal. Nutrition is enough. It was the young lady at the front desk who mischarged us on the day of check-in, and it was lifted after five days. We stayed for three days and came back every day if we didn't get the card to the front desk to update it, we couldn't open the door. The room is a bit narrow and cramped, especially if you bring the kitchen, it is even narrower. The bathroom has a smell of sewers, which is almost the same as the domestic Samsung. In addition, the room rate booked through Trip.com was more than 2,000 per day, and I continued to live for one day. I called the hotel directly. The price was less than 1400. Yuan can say that Savannah is worthy of the top leisure city, air tickets and hotel prices are too high. Facilities: General Hygiene: General Environment: OK, very close to the river, convenient for travel Service: acceptable, basic needs can be met.

It is a new hotel, so the facilities are complete, more comfortable, not far from the city center, the price is not expensive, very good.

Hotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, accommodations were clean. One disappointment was excessive addition of fees and taxes on my credit card. I booked through a third party booking sight for convenience and cost. I did anticipate the additional fee of using the hotels parking garage, however I was verry displeased with all of the other additional charges added. I knew parking was $50 a day, I did not used any other amenities through the hotel, i.e.: breakfast, television, room service, however I was charged an additional $277 for an accommodation fee, occupancy fee, destination fee, ect... I did address this numerous times with the front desk, and was assured only necessary charges would be added, the rest would drop off. Overall, the accommodations were pleasant. However, we will not be returning due to excessive additional fees

The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.
