Very expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! Great value for money! If you're traveling solo in San Francisco and want to avoid hostels, this is a fantastic option. Check-in is strictly after 3 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM, but they didn't rush me even though I was a little late checking out. It's located in a quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn San Francisco Golden Gateway. Among all the Holiday Inn hotels we’ve stayed at, this is definitely one of the best. The location is very convenient. Within a few minutes’ walk, we could easily get fresh groceries at Whole Foods Market, which was a big plus. The hotel’s breakfast also offers a wide selection of food, making it a great way to start the day. Public transport is another highlight — buses are easily accessible on foot, which makes the whole city feel much closer and very convenient to explore from this hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We especially appreciated the higher-floor views of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money in San Francisco. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The hotel has a bit of a unique decor and the price is definitely affordable. There are two convenience stores downstairs, a coffee shop, and a CVS and Trader Joe's just a five-minute walk away. It's also very close to bus stops, cable car stops, and the metro. However, the neighborhood isn't the best. Most of the hotel rooms look out onto a wall, which essentially means no window. The free coffee in the morning is incredibly sour, and the complimentary bottled water suddenly disappeared one day. The cleanliness is barely acceptable, and there's no fridge or kettle, though there is a coffee maker. The toiletries are from Warm Oak and quite nice. Honestly, if you're not like me and pretty much out all day, only coming back to sleep, I really wouldn't recommend it.

Our stay at Nob Hill Hotel was unexpectedly great. Although it’s a little far from Union Square, the walk was very tolerable. What really stood out was the free unlimited water and coffee available 24/7, which was a huge plus. The hotel also has a very unique lift and a charming, distinctive style that added character to our stay. Overall, a pleasant surprise and a comfortable experience. We would also like to commend the helpfulness of Emmanuel, who assisted us during our stay. He is very kind and accommodating, and his warm service truly made our experience even better. We will definitely come back and even cancelled our other hotel booking so we can return again after our visit here in Hollywood.

The perfect place Very comfortable and warm room. Plenty of electric sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really excellent hot shower, so easy to use. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts.

The hotel is on a very good location. Building is dated and shows signs of its age. Place is kept clean by the friendly staff. There’s not much by way of amenities but it serves well to sleep in after a full day of walking. Breakfast is free but continental and the selection is very limited. Not bad to start with. It’s free.  I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

We found Cow Hollow Inn and Suites about 20 years ago. It has become our favorite place to stay in the City. It is always very clean, the staff is always helpful, the parking is free and it is in one of the best locations in the City. Wonderful and fun restaurants and bars along Chestnut Street. Perfect for morning walks to the Palace of Fine Arts and the Marina Green. And, the adjacent restaurant, Home Plate is very good and convenient for breakfast. The recent remodel makes it even better!

The hotel itself is old with no elevators but the service is decent and parking is free. There is no breakfast but there is a microwave in the room. It is located on the beach side of the Golden Gate Park, with excellent walking trails and easy roads to the Pacific Ocean. An excellent view of the Golden Gate Bridge can be reached by car in 8 minutes and 40 minutes by foot.

This hotel must have been recently renovated as the facilities are brand new. The room's lighting, music, temperature, and curtains can all be controlled via an iPad. The hotel is also very close to the subway station and the starting point of the cable car.
