"My overall experience at Shangri-La Dalian was absolutely perfect this time, and I must give a special shout-out to Yina at the front desk! This morning, when I was checking out, the lobby was very busy, but Yina remained calm and professional throughout, never showing any signs of being rushed or perfunctory. She processed the check-out quickly and meticulously reviewed the bill, patiently explaining every charge. She proactively asked if I needed an invoice and carefully confirmed the title and tax ID information, saving me the hassle of double-checking everything myself. She maintained a gentle smile the entire time, her tone was kind and polite, and her demeanor was just right – not overly enthusiastic to the point of being overwhelming. The hotel's facilities themselves are impeccable; the rooms are spotless, and the location is excellent. However, Yina's thoughtful and attentive service was truly the highlight of this trip. As a high-end hotel, Shangri-La's service quality truly lives up to its reputation, and Yina's professionalism perfectly embodies the feeling of 'home away from home'. Next time I visit Dalian, this will still be my top choice, and I hope the hotel gives Yina plenty of recognition. I highly recommend it to all my friends traveling to Dalian!"

"Our first night in Dalian was at the Intercontinental, and it truly gave my family and me an unparalleled stay. The front desk, considering we had a child with us, upgraded us to a family room and breakfast, and even gave us a welcome gift. They thoughtfully arranged for the extra bed to be made up for our little one in advance. The room's amenities were excellent, maintaining Intercontinental's consistently high standards. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties like sea cucumber congee and Northeastern dishes, all of which were delicious. The staff were numerous, very enthusiastic, and incredibly efficient at clearing plates. From our room window, we could see several historic buildings in Zhongshan Square, indicating a prime location. All in all, I give it a 100% recommendation and will definitely stay here again on my next visit."

"We were given a free upgrade to an unbeatable family room with a panoramic sea view, and the view truly lives up to the 'unbeatable' description! The huge floor-to-ceiling windows face the Jinshitan coastline directly. You can lie in bed and watch the sky and sea merge into one, and at sunrise, the entire ocean turns golden – it's incredibly therapeutic. Honestly, though, the room itself was a bit compact, especially after setting up the kids' bed and luggage, leaving limited moving space. However, it was well-designed, and the family-friendly amenities were complete (kids' toiletries and small slippers were all provided). Right outside the hotel is a long stretch of beach, actually seven of them, with fine, soft sand and clean water. The kids dug in the sand, played in the waves, and collected seashells, refusing to leave until dark. The best part is how convenient it is – you just go downstairs and you're at the sea. Transportation is also easy, with a tram and electric carts available, which is fantastic for families with kids. Overall impression: Although the room was small, the view and convenience were absolutely worth the price. It's perfect for families seeking a sea view and a relaxing trip with children. If you're particular about room size, you might need to adjust your expectations, but for this sea and beach, I think it's well worth it. Our stay was a fantastic experience overall; the kids had a blast, and the adults relaxed. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a family trip to Jinshitan, Dalian!"

"Traveling through Northeast China with my father, Dalian was our first stop. Overall, Grand Hyatt was our top choice, primarily due to its excellent location and stunning views. We happened to be there during the Davos conference, which certainly tested the hotel's service, but within the Northeast hotel system, the Grand Hyatt handled it well. Firstly, Crystal (the front desk staff) had a pre-arrival touch and was consistently attentive to our stay experience. The ladies at the front desk who handled our check-in and check-out were both professional and friendly (apologies for not remembering their names). I visited the executive lounge on our first day for an iced Americano, and the service was impeccable. Even with such a huge crowd, breakfast was very well-organized. All in all, it was a pleasant trip."

The location is unbeatable; it's incredibly convenient for visiting Donggang and Zhongshan Square, making sightseeing and shopping a breeze. Upon arrival, the doorman and concierge staff were exceptionally attentive, immediately helping us with our large luggage. Knowing we had elderly family members with us, they meticulously guided us and reminded us to watch out for steps, providing truly thoughtful and warm service. Our room offered fantastic views; the scenery was expansive when we opened the window. The room itself was immaculately clean, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The hotel's overall decor is in a classic, established style, leaning towards a vintage and stately design. While it's not a trendy, minimalist look, it certainly doesn't detract from the daily guest experience. Overall, it perfectly balances convenience for sightseeing with attentive service, making it ideal for staying with elderly family members. I would definitely book this hotel again when I bring my family back to the area."

"This is Dalian's top five-star hotel, boasting breathtaking views of the cross-sea bridge. It features luxurious European-style decor and offers first-class service. The day before my arrival, a lovely staff member named Sunny proactively reached out to me. After adding her on WeChat, she provided a detailed overview of the hotel's facilities and services. On the day of check-in, she confirmed my arrival time and arranged my room in advance. After I checked in, she was incredibly attentive, checking in on me and promptly responding to any questions or needs I had."

"I've stayed at all the five-star hotels in Dalian – the Shangri-La, Grand Hyatt, Castle, Conrad, Hilton, and New World, from Donggang to Renmin Road and Xinghai. Years ago, I had a few meals and afternoon tea at the Kempinski, and my impression was quite good. This time, I was back in China for a business trip near the hotel. Even though the hotel had changed its name, I booked three nights and four days, drawn by fond memories and the convenience, as I had never actually stayed there before. The result was a huge disappointment! This is definitely a hotel I would never choose again. Let's start from arrival. Coming from the airport by taxi, I had one large suitcase and three carry-on bags. There were no staff at the entrance. Just as I was struggling, a male staff member saw the taxi and came out to help with my luggage. During check-in, the front desk staff said they had upgraded my room and very enthusiastically offered to take me to the room. In the process, they asked for my WeChat, saying it would be convenient for service. After I gave it to them, they just turned around and left, not escorting me to my room. This felt very insincere! They completely disregarded how tiring it is for a customer who has just traveled. So I dragged all my luggage by myself to the room, which turned out to be a corner room next to a dilapidated fire exit. Upon entering, my first impression was that the hotel's blackout curtains were fully closed, and the colors were very dark, making the whole room feel incredibly oppressive. I then requested a room change. Later, a young female staff member came to the room to bring a new key card, helped me view the new room, and assisted with moving my luggage. Her service was excellent! I'd like to thank that young lady. Now, about breakfast. I only went once out of three days and didn't bother going again. The food was unappetizing, and the hygiene was poor. Uncleaned dishes were left in plain sight after guests finished eating. Waiters constantly made screeching noises dragging chairs. Two waiters were chatting, and even after I signaled them, they didn't respond. And the attitude of the chefs making noodles at the Chinese food station – they were joking and laughing, and customers had to ask multiple times before getting a reply. The entire restaurant staff lacked a sense of service. I considered changing hotels in the middle of my stay, but I was too lazy to bother. I finally endured until checkout day. The front desk then asked for a good review, without asking about my real feelings at all. The entire check-in and stay experience was awful. I honestly can't give a positive review against my conscience."

"The guest rooms at Xita Hotel have a rather heavy design style, and the renovation quality is quite poor. However, the overall service is excellent. After checking in, my child suddenly wanted some fruit. I casually asked a staff member, and even though the hotel doesn't usually provide complimentary fruit, two lovely staff members brought three fruits (a banana, an orange, and an apple) for my child. While not particularly fancy, it truly warmed my heart. I believe these fruits were probably their personal snacks. They even brought a rocking horse for my child to play with. One of the staff members was named Liu Lili – I apologize for forgetting the other lady's name. I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and enthusiasm! Given the room rate is around a thousand yuan, I'd suggest the hotel should definitely offer complimentary fruit and small snacks. The cost is negligible, but it would make guests feel even more appreciated, otherwise, you might lose business to other hotels! Also, the hotel breakfast was very ordinary, which was disappointing."

"1. The service attitude was excellent across the board, from the front desk and housekeeping to the gym and pool staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and handled issues with professionalism. 2. The rooms are quite new, and the bedding was impeccably clean. Daily housekeeping was very efficient; the turndown service was usually done by the time we returned from dinner, allowing us to just settle in for the night. 3. The breakfast selection and quality were consistently good, in line with what you'd expect from a Four Seasons property. Even when a large group checked in during our stay, the service remained seamless. The beef patties were particularly delicious! 😋 4. There were a couple of minor drawbacks, though. The showerhead next to the bathtub in our room was broken and constantly leaking. However, overall, these small issues didn't detract from a wonderful stay. This is definitely a highly recommended place to stay in Dalian."
