"I brought my daughter to Suzhou this weekend and stayed at a hotel again. This time, we chose the Nikko Hotel in Shishan, and the actual experience was fantastic, highly recommended! Even my daughter said she wants to keep staying here in the future. Parking was very convenient for self-driving, with plenty of spaces, and there were several fast-charging stations on the ground level, which was handy for charging. As soon as we entered the lobby, the hotel's scent was very refreshing. The room was spacious, and the view from the window was superb. The shower had great water pressure, and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel's pool and sauna facilities were also excellent. Plus, there are plenty of attractions and dining options nearby. This will definitely be our top choice for future visits to Suzhou. Highly recommended!"

"Having stayed at the Shangri-La on Tayuan Road before, I decided to revisit with my whole family during the National Day holiday this time. It certainly didn't disappoint! The room was spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Lion Hill and the city. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep for the entire family. The hotel amenities are perfect for family trips. The heated swimming pool has a children's play area, so swimming in this weather isn't chilly at all. The gym is well-equipped, so both adults and children can find ways to relax. The location is superb, making travel very convenient. It's just a short drive to famous Suzhou attractions like Hanshan Temple and the west branch of the Suzhou Museum. The service is thoughtful and meticulous; check-in at the front desk was efficient, and Lisa was gentle and polite. The service was as attentive as ever. Even with the large crowds during National Day, he managed to arrange a room with a great view for us and even provided welcome fruit. The quality of service definitely didn't dip. For our whole family, it was a delightful National Day holiday spent here."

"Our stay at this resort completely exceeded our expectations! ✨ The grounds are beautiful, and the facilities are excellent. There are several kids' play areas, making it easy to keep the little ones entertained and give parents a break. Dining options are also very convenient: to the left of the hotel entrance is Songzhuang, and to the right is Gusuqiao Suzhou-style noodles. You can get a ticket number online in advance and just wait comfortably at the hotel for your turn to be called. Big thanks to Aimee for her warm and attentive service; she was enthusiastic, thorough, and patiently answered all our questions. The room was spacious and clean, and the overall environment was quiet and pleasant. Both the elderly and children in our family absolutely loved it. This is a highly recommended vacation spot, and we'll definitely be back!"

"The room was spacious and clean, and the 1.5-meter bed was large. However, the mattress was a bit too soft, and there was no dedicated luggage rack, so I had to put my bags on the floor. The bathroom vanity was tiny, with no space for cosmetics; I had to store them in the cup-holder drawer. There was also no full-length mirror by the door. On the positive side, the hotel is very pet-friendly. They provided a dog bed, pee pads, and a water bowl. The third floor even has a dedicated pet room with dog crates. The restaurant is conveniently located next to the lobby on the ground floor, and there's a hot spring. Overall, it offers good value for money. I suggest adding luggage racks, a full-length mirror, and more chairs to make the stay even more comfortable."

"The hotel front desk staff were very friendly, and the room was very clean. They provided six bottles of mineral water, and you could see Taihu Lake. You can request latex pillows, and the service for anything you need is very prompt. The breakfast tasted good, with wontons, plain noodles (Yangchun mian), and freshly made pancakes. The swimming pool is large and very clean, and there's also a children's pool with very warm and comfortable water, making it safe for kids to play. There are two large shopping malls about a ten-minute drive away, which are convenient for dining and shopping. It's also very easy to get to from the highway, and parking is plentiful. I will definitely come back again!"

"This is a very new hotel apartment. The rooms are spacious and soundproof, making it perfect for families or small groups traveling together. After a day of sightseeing, you can return to the hotel to relax, order takeout, and watch TV without feeling cramped. The rooms are equipped with a washing machine and kitchen, and the beds are soft and comfortable, giving it a very homey feel. However, I do have a few minor issues and suggestions to share. 1. I primarily chose this place because of the swimming pool. I knew there was a fee for the pool when I booked, but only upon arrival did I realize that the pool actually belongs to the apartment hotel across the street. It was inconvenient to go back and forth, so I ended up not using it. Trip.com's hotel facilities page did not mention this information. I suggest the hotel add a note, as it can be disappointing for guests who specifically choose the hotel for its pool. 2. When I was getting ready for bed at night, the bedside sensor night light malfunctioned and wouldn't turn off. Encountering such a hardware issue in a newly opened apartment was a bit unexpected. I was bothered until almost midnight before I could finally rest. Fortunately, the hotel responded quickly, and staff came to fix it promptly, which I was quite satisfied with. 3. There's room for improvement in staff training, as communication on some matters was not smooth. We specifically spoke with the front desk before heading out, asking them to help clean up the room's trash. The front desk replied at the time that it could be arranged immediately. However, when we returned to the room, we found it hadn't been cleaned. The reason given was that the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on the door, and housekeeping didn't dare enter. I hope internal information synchronization will be strengthened in the future to avoid similar communication discrepancies. 4. The location is excellent, right next to MixC World, and a 15-minute walk to Lingering Garden and Xiyuan Temple. The only downside is that the traffic light setting at the hotel entrance is not very reasonable; the red light wait time is very long, while the green light is only 10 seconds. Being close to MixC World and also near Shantang Street, the area has a very high foot traffic. Whether taking a taxi out or returning, we often encountered long waits for taxis and traffic congestion. Taking a taxi during peak tourist season might not be a pleasant experience. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with my stay. Many reviews mentioned a renovation smell because it's a new hotel, but we didn't smell anything during our stay. I'm now a fan of Marriott Hotel Apartments and hope more branches open in China. I would prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Suzhou."

"Our family stayed here for a trip to Taihu Lake. Looking at the map, it's very close to Taihu Lake, with Taihu Lakefront National Wetland Park nearby, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner. We booked a twin room and a lake view room. You can tell the hotel is a bit older, but it seems to be a well-established one. The rooms were clean, tidy, and stylishly designed. What impressed me most was the fan-shaped door design: close it outwards to seal off the bathroom, then close it inwards to shut the shower door. It's a clever two-in-one design that saves space and materials without compromising functionality. The toiletries were quite good too, and the bathroom used translucent bricks. The service attitude was pleasant, and we slept reasonably well. Regarding the lake view room, it's actually quite far from Taihu Lake, so there's no need to pay extra for it. A fun detail was that their room cards are made of wooden composite with a chip inside – I'd never seen that before! Breakfast was quite plentiful; the Suzhou-style noodles were delicious and a must-try. Other items were just okay; the Chinese food wasn't great, but the Western pastries and bread were decent. Make sure to go early, otherwise, hot milk and other popular items might run out. Also, remember to compare prices across different platforms, as first-time bookings often come with discounts."
