"The hotel's location next to Wanda Plaza is really convenient. It's about a twenty-minute walk to Baota Mountain and not far from Qingliang Mountain. You can take a taxi to the top of Qingliang Mountain for panoramic city views. Plus, the nearby bus stops make it easy to get to Zaoyuan, the museum, and the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site. The hotel service is good, and the front desk staff are very friendly and responsive to any issues. For late check-out, they charge a fee based on the room type: 20 for a double room and 30 for a triple. It's a nice option to extend your stay and rest a bit, especially if you have a later departure."

"I picked this hotel as a jump-off point to visit Guanquan Canyon and Jingbian Wave Valley. It's located in Baota district of Yan'an. The location is great as it's only five minutes walk from the Yan'an High Speed Railway Station. Even if you have big luggage like mine, it's still manageable walk to the hotel. The hotel reception was wonderful. One of the girls, unfortunately I didn't take her name, was extremely helpful and tried hard to retrieve the packages I ordered to the hotel from several storage locations for me. It shows that she was dedicated to her job to assist guests without complaints. Breakfast is available and included in my reservation. It's standard Chinese breakfast. They even provided warm orange juice which I surprisingly like. The hotel has a self-service laundry room with free detergent. This is a great plus for me. The only complain I may have is, although this is not a unique situation in China, the stinkiness of cigarette smoking in the room and corridor. Thankfully it's March when I visited as I had to close window as cigarette smell came through the window. This is very unfortunate indeed."

"My friends and I booked a hotel in Yan'an, and the service was excellent. They upgraded our room for free and gave us a great view. We booked a standard room, the bed was large, the room was very clean, and the shower and toilet were separate. Plus, the location is conveniently located, just steps from Wanda Plaza for dining. The breakfast was also very plentiful; I especially loved the wontons and toast. Everyone should check it out!"

"This is my second time here. The room is clean, tidy, and well-arranged. It's equipped with a smart assistant, and they even have a robot for room service. The hotel pays attention to requests and called me beforehand to ask if I needed airport pickup. The front desk staff are gentle and thoughtful. Although the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, Yan'an is a small city. As long as you're not going to the New Area, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you anywhere. Getting to Erdao Street also only takes about ten minutes."

"The room is quite big, the lighting is good, I chose a very quiet room on the back street, it is very suitable for my type, the room is simple, the furniture and floor colors are very elegant, and I like it. The bathroom has windows, dry and wet separation, and it is larger than the average hotel. Large room and bathroom space, beneficial to breathing, beneficial to physical and mental health! I especially want to mention that the front desk clerk is very good, very warm and thoughtful: I came out to pick me up when I checked in on April 25, 2026, helped me carry my luggage, sent it to the room, and then because the toilet in the room was bad, I changed it for me, and took the initiative to help me carry my luggage. Before going to bed, because the TV could not be turned off again, I helped me unplug the power cord, otherwise I could not sleep peacefully. Today, I took the initiative to ask if I needed to upgrade and change the room, served tea and handed water, and patiently gave me a call to show the way (I couldn't find the way back to the hotel after going out to eat at night). The disadvantage of the hotel is that there is no dining around! There is a gym but no massage chair. I came back after a day and wanted to massage to relieve the fatigue of the day. There is a laundry room. Basically satisfied."

"My first trip to Yan'an Baotashan Hotel was a fantastic experience – so worry-free! The room was spacious and bright, and the two beds were just the right firmness for a good night's sleep. The floor was spotless, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. Children's toiletries were available free of charge. Located in the city center, the hotel is very convenient, close to tourist attractions and food streets. The front desk helped with luggage storage and recommended nearby sightseeing routes. There's a self-service laundry room that's clean, safe, and hygienic. The lobby is cozy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and there's plenty of hot water with stable pressure. The vanity mirror light is perfect for makeup. It's a 5-minute walk to Baotashan, and the surrounding area is full of delicious food. The front desk service was warm and attentive. The owner was very welcoming and efficient, providing excellent pick-up and drop-off service and even helping with photos. The courtyard was meticulously decorated with modern, fully smart facilities. They also offered unique costumes for tourists to take photos, providing a truly authentic Shaanxi cave dwelling experience. The only downside was the unclear signage at the entrance. The house was located a bit deep inside, and I almost couldn't find it. It would be best to add a sign.

Excellent hotel and recommended! The room was big enough for 2 of us and very clean. There are several restaurants near by. Although Trip.com shows the breakfast is from 7:00am but the actually it starts from 7:30, which was a bit late considering our schedule of the day. The breakfast restaurant staff was kind enough and we were allowed to start the breakfast from around 7:00 although the selection was limited until 7:30. Overall very good experience!

The room exceeded my expectations! The linen was pristine white, and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. There was absolutely none of the dust or dampness commonly associated with farm stays, making it feel as safe and comfortable as home. Their vegetables are incredibly fresh, harvested right from the garden. I personally watched the owner picking leafy greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes from their own vegetable patch – they were vibrant green and glistening with dew. Once stir-fried, a delightful aroma filled the air. The texture was delightfully crisp and the flavor refreshing and sweet – a genuine, natural taste you simply can't get in the city. Even the kids couldn't get enough of it! For cleanliness, comfort, and amazing fresh farm-to-table food, you can't go wrong choosing this place! It's especially suitable for families, offering healthy meals and a worry-free stay.

I stayed in the first room on the left after exiting the elevator on the fourth floor. The window was by the stairs. There was a slipper under the bed, which suggests they never clean under there. Upstairs, there must be a KTV because I could hear singing until 1 or 2 AM, which disturbed my sleep. Plus, there was a low-frequency noise, probably from some large equipment room near the unit. Parking was also quite tight, though that might have been due to the May Day holiday; I'm not sure what it's usually like. Now for the good points: The bathroom had a three-way split design (separate toilet, shower, and sink areas), and they provided face towels. The bedding was comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful. I'd recommend booking a higher floor to avoid the noise.

The guesthouse is a five-minute walk from the scenic area ticket office. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The owner was very welcoming and helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The yard can park five or six cars. We ate at the guesthouse; the mother-in-law's cooking was excellent. Breakfast was ten yuan per person, including two vegetable dishes, an egg, a steamed bun, and the highly recommended millet porridge. If possible, they could upgrade the TV to a larger one. For a one-night stay at Ganquan Grand Canyon, Feng Meizi's place offers great value.

Inside the scenic area, it is very lively at night, the room is very quiet and clean! Suitable for taking photos and checking in! The breakfast is also rich. And the price is not high, it is very cost-effective to use the points deduction. It is also very easy to find after getting off the highway, and it is very close. The location is superb, within walking distance of Baota Mountain, and surrounded by supermarkets and local Shaanxi restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are brand new and fully equipped, with soft bedding and a separate shower and toilet, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. The front desk staff are warm and efficient, proactively recommending sightseeing routes – very thoughtful and attentive. The entire room is spotless, with pristine white linens and no unpleasant odors; the housekeeping is meticulous and thorough. A perfect stay – a must-choose when visiting Yan'an!

The rooms are a bit small, and the two beds in the standard rooms are a bit cramped. However, the location is convenient. You can walk to Erdaojie Night Market and Baotashan. The road in front of the hotel is under construction right now, so it's inconvenient to drive there.

It's located directly across from Yan'an Train Station and next to the bus terminal, making it convenient for intercity travel. While the accommodations are inexpensive, they don't offer the usual bottled water and require a 100 yuan deposit. I've stayed at dozens of hotels in China, but this was the first time I've been asked for a deposit. Yan'an is the starting point for my trip to the Wucha Grand Canyon.
