"The lobby and hallway are very cozy and modern. Love the atmosphere. The check-in staffs are very nice and friendly. The turn down are on the room as soundproof is not good. Can even heard next door guest talking and open/close water tap very loud and clear from next door. The pillow cases are a bit yellowish. The aircon condition was not in good conditions as well. Even felt hot at night which I sweat while sleeping even after hours in the room with aircon on with lowest temperature. The temperature in lobby is much colder in the room. Location is okay if you are driving."

"This was our second stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel, and it was a much better experience than our first. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a Classic Triple room, and having the night park passes included for both nights was a huge plus.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved:
Amenities: The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our room for both nights. Despite being told it just ”takes time” to warm up, it never did. Taking a cold shower at 11:00 PM after the night park was a major downside.
Dining & Location: The hotel isn't very close to outside eateries. Room service ends around 10:00 PM, so if you return from the night park late, options are very limited. Since we visited during the Raya break, most nearby Muslim-owned shops were closed, requiring a drive to find food.
Breakfast: Day one was enjoyable, but day two was a bit chaotic due to the surge of guests. Food wasn't refilled quickly enough and finding a table was a challenge and a lot of food were not refilled as it finished.
Overall, a good stay for the park access, but the water temperature and breakfast logistics during peak periods need attention."

"This hotel is right in the city center—just a short walk to Ipoh Padang. Within about 5 minutes on foot, you can reach many popular spots like Concubine Lane and Plan B, which makes everything very convenient.
The hotel’s lobby and restaurant are both located on the 12th floor, offering nice views of parts of Ipoh. The front desk service is good, and the hotel’s security guards are also very polite.
The room isn’t very big, but it’s well-equipped and clean. The only downside is that the parking area inside the hotel is quite small with limited spaces. However, the hotel provides an alternative parking area and even offers a free shuttle service. Honestly, it’s only about a 100-meter walk away anyway. 😝"

"I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station, thinking it was downtown. Turns out, it's better to be closer to Chinatown. We stayed on the 3rd floor (which is actually the 4th floor). There's no elevator, so keep that in mind. The soundproofing was pretty bad; we were aware of all our neighbors' movements.
Overall, it's okay – a decent 'three-star' place, acceptable for a day.
Oh, I just remembered. According to the terms, check-in was supposed to be after 2 PM. Our room wasn't ready, and we waited an hour. Not ideal, but I can understand, these things happen. What surprised me more was that the hotel manager seemed to find my dissatisfaction strange, as if it were completely normal."

"Stayed at Hotel 1969 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were polite and kind throughout our stay, especially the concierge, who also acted as our airport transfer driver. Although I did not get his name, he was very responsible and ensured we arrived at the airport on time.
We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading off, which was perfect and satisfying. The hotel location is very convenient, with many coffeeshops nearby.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return again."

"The property is a newly built bungalow just beside a hill and a temple. there are plenty of local foods around within a few minutes of walking distance. the check in check out is very simple, and the host and caretaker are friendly. since it's slightly further out from the city, the air is fresh especially so because we are beside one of the big hills.
One downside: at night, there will be a low pitch humming, which I presume is the pump running for the water tanks. it didn't bother me, but soundproofing could be improved for the rooms.
there's enough parking at the property or beside it for about 6-7 cars, so no issues there."

Prayer mat, hairdryer, even a steam iron, washing machine with laundry detergent, towels, shower gel, and shampoo are all provided. Only toothbrush and toothpaste you'll need to bring yourself. Everything else is fully stocked. The unit offers a partial mountain view, and you can watch trains go by while watching TV. The check-in process was easy. After booking, the host will WhatsApp you with all the instructions. The location is very close to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun. Mikerfood Kinta Riverwalk for dining is also very nearby. It's about a 20-minute drive to Tasik Cermin. Good location, close to many attractions.

CCHEWLocation was great and within 10 mins drive to all the popular eating shops and 15 mins to shopping area of Ipoh city centre. Free car park helps a lot and we enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool with nice aerial view of the mountains at the background. Host was responsive as they only had 3 mugs for our booking for 6 people. When we requested for more, it was brought to us quite promptly. Except for the kitchen and dining area which is a little cramped and a huge stain mark on the kitchen flooring area, it was perfect as the place was clean.

I can honestly say this was one of the best stays I have ever had in Ipoh. If you are looking for relaxation, luxury, and convenience, the IWH Sunway Onsen Apartment is the place to be.
Here is why I can’t stop raving about it:
• The Private Onsen: This is the absolute highlight. Having a private hot spring tub right on the balcony is an experience you usually pay premium hotel prices for. Soaking in the natural geothermal water while looking out at the majestic limestone hills was incredibly rejuvenating. It is the perfect way to unwind.
• The View: Waking up to the view of the greenery and the misty hills is breathtaking. It feels like a retreat far away from the city, yet it is so accessible.
• The Apartment: The unit managed by IWH was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated. The beds were hotel-quality comfortable (I slept like a baby!), and the amenities provided—from high-speed WiFi to the kitchenette—made it feel like a luxurious home away from home.
• Location: You are practically right next door to the Sunway Lost World of Tambun. It’s incredibly convenient if you are visiting the theme park. Plus, there are plenty of food options and a grocery store nearby.
• The Service: The IWH team was fantastic. Check-in was seamless, the instructions were clear, and they were very responsive to any questions I had.
I would highly recommend this to couples looking for a romantic getaway or families wanting a fun, relaxing trip. I am already planning my next trip back!

GGuest UserHuge thanks to the host for being so accommodating and resolving the deposit issue for us. The swimming pool was fantastic, I really enjoyed it. There was just one downside: in one of the rooms, there was what sounded like a water collector or something similar? It would suddenly make a booming noise, making it impossible to sleep. Luckily, there were three rooms in total with plenty of beds.

AAnonymous UserOverall, the stay was disappointing due to several maintenance and cleanliness issues:
Master Bedroom: The ceiling fan was not working, and there were ants and mosquitoes present.
Room 2: The mirror was broken.
Room 3: No hangers were provided.
General: The hair dryer was damaged and unusable.
Gym Facilities: The gym is very run-down, and many machines are not working.
Toiletries & Linen: Only hair and body shampoo were provided. Towels were old and worn out, and the bedroom sheets were not very clean.
On a positive note, the infinity pool is nice and well-maintained, which we did enjoy.
However, the issues above significantly affected our comfort and overall experience. Proper maintenance, cleanliness, and better provision of basic amenities are strongly needed for future guests.

CCatherine scI had a generally pleasant stay at this homestay. The unit was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby amenities. A special mention to the security guard downstairs, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better.
However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low—so much so that it made showering quite difficult and uncomfortable. Additionally, for a two-bedroom unit, only one access card was provided. This was quite inconvenient, as the card is required not only to enter the unit but also to use the elevator, making it challenging for multiple guests to move around freely.
Overall, while the stay was comfortable and enjoyable in many aspects, addressing these issues would greatly enhance the guest experience.

The apartment complex is situated on a beautiful hillside, offering panoramic views of Ipoh’s lush greenery and limestone hills.
Apartment Features:
The apartment I stayed in was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It had an open-concept layout that combined a comfortable living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining nook. The kitchen had all the essentials—fridge, stove, microwave, and even a washing machine, making it perfect for longer stays. The living room had a large flat-screen TV and comfy seating, creating a great space for relaxation. The bedroom was cozy with a large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom had a clean, modern feel with a spacious shower and high-quality amenities. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially with Ipoh’s warm weather.
Service:
While staying at The Cove Hillside, I felt like I had the best of both worlds—privacy and comfort, but with access to excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering quick check-in/check-out and always willing to help with any requests. Housekeeping was efficient, keeping the apartment spotless during my stay. They also provided helpful information on local attractions, making it easy to explore the area.

One of the standout features of The Cove Hillside is the range of amenities. The infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking, offering sweeping views of the surrounding hills. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines and free weights, great for staying in shape. There’s also a barbecue area that can be reserved for gatherings, which adds a nice touch for family or group stays. Plus, the complex is gated with 24-hour security, so I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.
