base-LONGFUSI retains the brand concept and takes into account both the original condition of the building itself and the surrounding environment by transforming an aged hotel into an urban community complex with commercial space, offices, serviced apartments, hotel. Located in the heart of Beijing, close to the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street, base-LONGFUSI is in the midst of an ancient quadrangle (Siheyuan ) compound with a profound cultural heritage. The location is well connected to public transportation and is just an 8-minute walk from Dongsi metro station of Line 5 and 6. base-LONGFUSI, a pleasant, vibrant, and comfortable place in the middle of all the action.

"A very pleasant stay in a big room at a good location for 2 + 6 nights. All cars that we took could enter the narrow alley except for the first night that we had to walk about 300 metres to the place when the road was under construction. The shower room comes with heating and so it was nice to be able to shower in a warm room. Service was friendly and prompt. Those cleaning ladies were exceptionally hardworking. All went well until the last 2 nights with a new neighbour whom we believed was a light sleeper who banged hard on the wall to signal us to quiet down at about 10 pm when we didn't even really speak loudly. Feedback to the counter and they offered us immediately a change of room for sleeping that we declined since it was our last night there. Will recommend Base as most will not run into bad luck like us to have such neighbour (it will be nice if they could come to us and tell us politely or feedback to the counter to inform us instead of banging on the wall so rudely)."

The Rosewood Beijing Hotel (Beijing Guili Jiudian) is approximately 23.8 km (14.8 mi) from Beijing Capital International Airport, 13.1 km (8.1 mi) from Beijing South Railway Station, and 15.9 km (9.9 mi) from Beijing West Railway Station. Diners can enjoy eating at the Butterfly Room, the Red Bowl hot pot, Country Kitchen, serving Northern Chinese cuisine, and The House Of Dynasties private rooms. Drinks are served at MEI bar. Room service is available at the Beijing hotel. Those traveling on business can utilize meeting rooms and currency exchange. Guest can relax in the spa or get healthy by heading to the indoor swimming pool, gym, or yoga studio. Free Wi-Fi in public areas and rooms as well as free parking are available at the Beijing hotel.

"After a wonderful stay at Rosewood Guangzhou, my experience at Rosewood Beijing was quite disappointing. First, let's talk about the positives: the design of the public areas and rooms is stunning, and the club lounge, gym, and pool facilities are excellent, meeting the standards of a luxury five-star hotel. The maintenance of these facilities is also quite good. Now for the areas that need improvement, primarily the service. It's the worst service I've ever encountered in a hotel costing over 1500+ RMB per night. The overall impression is one of aloofness and bureaucracy. The butler's pre-arrival communication was unhelpful, and it seemed like different departments within the hotel didn't communicate with each other. There was incorrect information regarding club lounge benefits. The butler claimed the room type I wanted to upgrade to was fully booked, but the front desk said there was one available for a paid upgrade. Despite informing them beforehand that I was traveling with a child, extra slippers and toothbrushes weren't provided promptly. This experience falls far short of what I've had at some Marriott and Crowne Plaza hotels costing 500+ RMB per night. Considering Rosewood's 5000+ RMB room rate, this aspect is truly subpar. The executive lounge's service and food were also very disappointing. It was the first time in my life I was asked for my room number three times in the lounge. During happy hour, it was often difficult to find the bartender and noodle chef. The slightly pale, somewhat red-faced male bartender provided poor service; he seemed unwilling to speak much and would simply walk away even when guests were right in front of him. While the afternoon tea in the lounge was decent quality, the variety was too limited. The happy hour food was also overly Westernized, consisting mostly of cold dishes. This is China, after all. There was only one hot dish, beef cheek, and a bowl of Chaoshan beef kway teow, which was too cold and not very suitable for families with children. For drinks, there were three white wines, two red wines, and one sparkling wine, all of average taste. For spirits, only two types of whiskey used for cocktails were complimentary; others required an additional charge. Overall, the lounge food felt like a higher-end Andaz, but Andaz is free, while Rosewood's lounge prices are even more expensive than the Ritz, yet the food is nowhere near as good as the Ritz. Perhaps every hotel defines its lounge differently, but they should still strive to satisfy a wider range of guests. The front desk staff also lacked smiles, and the concierge wouldn't even look at you when speaking. The elevator attendant, however, was quite good. The breakfast on the first floor was also overly specialized and disappointing. The variety was the worst I've encountered in a hotel costing over 1500+ RMB per night. It was quite Western-biased; the bread was excellent, just like at Rosewood Guangzhou, but the Chinese options were far inferior to Rosewood Guangzhou, with too little variety – only the congee was decent. Furthermore, I forgot my child's swimming goggles and cap in the bathrobe pocket. After checking out, I contacted the hotel to help locate them. I was told they were in the bathrobe in the room, but then they replied that the pool staff couldn't find them. I reiterated my request, and they said the laundry also couldn't find them. This could have been a chance for them to earn some brownie points, but it further highlighted Rosewood Beijing's shortcomings in service."

Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
The original location of the hotel, Yueweizhuang, was one of Mr. Ji Xiaolan's residences in Beijing in his later years, and it was also an important place for him to create "Notes on Yuewei Caotang". Adjacent to the Forbidden City, Wangfujing Business Circle and along Chang'an Street, it can walk to cultural landmarks such as Nanluoguxiang. The subway hub is close at hand, which embraces the prosperity and tranquility of the ancient capital. Inheriting the orthodox regulation of the Beijing school courtyard, the courtyard retains the traditional architectural structure of the old Beijing courtyard with a central axis symmetry pattern. The gray tiles, blue bricks, carved beams and painted buildings still hide the charm of the ancient house. At the same time, it integrates cultural display elements, continues the cultural memory of the old Beijing courtyard, and allows guests to immerse themselves in the feelings of the old Beijing courtyard. And the cultural style. The hotel is transformed from two hundred-year-old courtyards, with a total of 59 elegant guest rooms, ranging from 35 square meters to 200 square meters. It is a rare courtyard private bath resort in Beijing. Create a variety of room types to adapt to different travel needs. The exclusive butler will follow up the whole process 24 hours a day, from check-in courtesy, itinerary customization to catering private banquets, and provide one-on-one exclusive services. The hotel was built with fine investment, and every detail was carefully carved, focusing on building three characteristic public areas: · The cultural corridor displays the life imprints of literati in the Qing Dynasty and the historical and cultural materials of Dongcheng, so that Chinese and foreign guests can immerse themselves in the cultural heritage of the ancient capital; · Rooftop viewing cafe, you can enjoy the staggered scenery of the blue bricks and gray tiles in the courtyard; · The traditional Chinese medicine massage spa hall hires a famous non-genetic massage teacher in Beijing to soothe the physical and mental fatigue of travelers in the traditional way of health care. In addition, the hotel is also equipped with a gym, a multi-functional conference room, an elegant tea room, a boutique gift gallery, a restaurant, an executive lounge, a bar, a business box, a laundry room and other facilities to meet the diverse needs of guests in an all-round way. As a luxurious secret place under the roots of the imperial city, it perfectly integrates the thousand-year-of-year courtyard of Beijing with the traditional culture of Beijing, achieving a unique model of travel and residence.

"The most delightful courtyard guesthouse I've ever stayed in Beijing! From the moment I stepped in, I was completely captivated—traditional grey brick walls and red tiles, every corner exuded Beijing's elegant charm. The room itself far exceeded my expectations, with high wooden beam ceilings and contemporary Chinese soft furnishings creating an incredible ambiance. The bedding in the bedroom was so soft, I didn't want to get out of bed! My favorite part was the bathroom, with a huge marble bathtub where I could soak while looking out at the courtyard, feeling completely relaxed. The attention to detail was evident everywhere, and the service was thoughtful yet unobtrusive. It's truly a hidden gem, offering a peaceful escape in the midst of the bustling city. A must-try experience when you visit Beijing!"

"I spent a long time choosing this room, and after checking in, I truly felt like I made the right choice 🥰🥰. The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic; when I checked in and saw a crowd, they guided me to an adjacent counter to process my check-in 🫰. The hotel facilities are relatively new and all feature smart technology. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and it's spacious with two sinks. The faucet water flow is very quiet, with no strange noises. The room design is excellent and the layout is well-planned, with thoughtful touches everywhere 😘😘. Coffee and tea are neatly arranged in separate drawers, and there's even a mini-bar cart. I highly recommend it. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Universal Studios, and you can even see Harry Potter from the hotel."

Reconstructed · Xishi Hutong Retreat. In the past, it once concealed the ancient Ming-dynasty temple — Pu'en Temple, where Buddhist chants wove into the market alleys and incense smoke hid within the lanes. Today, following the trajectory of urban renewal, Reconstructed · Xishi Hutong Retreat has been revitalized on its original site. With contemporary strokes, it continues the fabric of the hutong, weaving the lingering warmth of history into everyday life.

"Small yet beautiful, a Hutong hotel with an oriental Zen vibe! Reconstructing Xishi Hutong Hidden House, Xisi, Xishi – the clever name immediately captivated me. As a southerner, besides my obsession with Beijing's snow, another deep-seated fascination is Beijing's hutongs. Although the hotel is small, it's very comfortable and peaceful to stay in. Room service is also more prompt and attentive. I love sitting by the door, watching the light and shadows shift from morning till dusk; I love looking up at the ”a line of clear blue sky above the hutong” on a clear day; I love climbing the spiral staircase to watch a hutong sunset, from orange hues to blue tones... It's very convenient for shopping in Xidan CBD or taking a Xisi Citywalk. The nearby Line 4 also offers easy access to many of Beijing's iconic landmarks. I look forward to staying at Hutong Hidden House again once the hotel restaurant opens."

Service: The butler service was excellent, and you could ask them for any questions. Welcome Fruit and Drinks: The room was stocked with seasonal fruit, and the fruit on the living room table was also edible. It was so relaxing to sit on the terrace and enjoy tea."

GGuest UserFour words: Feel at home❤️ First of all, the name Qingqing Courtyard attracted me, and I decided to book this place on Ctrip to try it out. As soon as I arrived at the door, the environment was elegant and fresh, the hostess was warm and welcoming, and the iced welcome watermelon was delivered to the room, which reduced the heat by half. Each room is like an independent courtyard, with private space, and there is a large terrace on the second floor where you can dry clothes. The hostess's service is in place. We went to Universal Studios in the afternoon, and the car picked us up and dropped us off, and we were available at any time. Universal Studios is very large, and the children didn't play enough. I will come again next time and stay at your house.

GGuest UserI was traveling in Beijing and after visiting the Great Wall, I came to Sanlitun. I searched for nearby accommodation and found this place, which was quite good. The host even upgraded me to a projector room. It's an apartment, very clean, and the room is huge, more than double the size of the place I stayed at near the Great Wall the night before. The projector's sound and picture quality are both excellent. I absolutely loved the big red fridge! 😻 There's also a microwave and a washing machine. The night view outside is so beautiful.

MMarcoPoPoDuring the May Day holiday, there were people everywhere. I just wanted to find a quiet place with less traffic and less people. This place is really a very good choice. It is not far from the Beijing-Weihai Expressway. Facing the mountains, there are two hot springs. The children are happy to play, and I can also listen to music and enjoy the tranquility on the recliner. Next time I go, I should bring barbecue ingredients. The courtyard provides free grills, charcoal and condiments.

YYuemanjiulouThe hotel is conveniently located right next to the cable car and gondola, making it super easy to get up to the Great Wall. The hotel itself is like a park, with rooms scattered throughout the mountains. I booked what they called a 'small courtyard,' but it was actually a shared courtyard with several rooms. When I first booked, I thought the room would be tiny, only 11 sq m, which I figured must have been a typo, as it's actually more like 40-50 sq m. The amenities are quite good; the AC gets plenty warm, and there's a small balcony. I especially loved their grey slippers; they're very well made. The restaurant staff are all incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious with generous portions! I'd actually suggest they offer some smaller dishes, as for a solo traveler like me, one dish is often enough, so I can't try multiple things. Breakfast is okay, just enough to fill you up. If you're driving, you can notify the hotel with your license plate number beforehand and drive directly to their parking lot, which is super convenient. Overall, I had a great experience.

DDivine SoulWonderful Stay at Beijing Champs-Elysees Hotel – Perfect for a Special Celebration! I had an amazing 6-day stay at the Beijing Champs-Elysees Hotel, and it was the perfect place to celebrate my son’s second birthday! The hotel is conveniently located near the Panjiayuan Shilihe Subway Station, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, offering excellent value for money. It truly felt like a home away from home. What made our stay even more memorable was the exceptional service provided by the front desk staff—Chi Chi, Chi Linfeng, and Henguan. They were all incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. A big thank you to Chi Linfeng for his assistance in booking tours to the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall of China, which were highlights of our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. The hotel’s attention to detail and the wonderful service from the team made my son’s birthday even more memorable. I highly recommend the Beijing Champs-Elysees Hotel for anyone visiting the city—it’s a fantastic choice for families and travelers alike.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a nice concept or safari theme but somewhat under delivered. The pictures were nice but I think these are old pictures as it definitely needs upkeep or we think due for renovation and cleanliness of the surrounding needs more manpower. Pool is questionable and not inviting. Plus side: Very close to the great wall you can literally walk about 1km away to the gate. And the nearby grocery is a cheap way to buy local gifts to bring home. However you are far from the main Beijing City as in more than 1 hour by taxi and 2 hours if you get caught in the rush hour of beijing cost which cost about US$20 one way. The room is clean, big and decent for the price but really needs repair and I really question the security of the door as it was no secondary lock. The hot water is plenty, aircon is nice, internet is ok, soap is great. Service: They are family run I think 3 or 4 people, they try to accommodate but unlike other hotels in China, they don't try to utilize tech to translate. I understand they are kinda old. They don't automatically make up the room even though we stayed for 3 nights. so our garbage filed up. But we are ok with it. They were waiting even though we arrived at 2am which we appreciated. And the iced coffee is nice. Bad: Food maybe it is not our preferred taste. It is definitely not a buffet and we only eat once. You have alternative restaurants across the street or in the Great Wall commercial area but it is expensive. So will we recommend it, maybe. Yes, if you want a quiet place to unwind and want to explore the great wall for more than a day. no, if you want to explore beijing, it is far from the city and conscious of cleanliness and upkeep.
