The sea-view room on Jinshiyu Island was my favorite among the three hotels and two guesthouses I stayed in during my trip to Weihai! However, the disappointing breakfast was a huge disappointment. For a room costing over 800 yuan, each person only got a small steamed bun, a sweet potato, and a tiny piece of baby pumpkin. 😂

I can honestly say I won't be staying at Huazhu again. It's located in a huge building, with various guesthouses occupying different parts of it. The lobby and elevators downstairs were sweltering. The carpet in the room looked dirty. The room door was broken; you had to exert a lot of force to close it properly. It stated it opened in 2026, but I suspect it was just a renovation. The facilities and equipment in the room weren't new either. The beach is indeed just a few minutes' walk from downstairs.
