"Initially booked a deluxe queen suite and Trip.com / hotel confirmed we could add a single bed. Upon arrival, hotel said they couldn't and changed us to a family suite even though they have rollaway beds available and the deluxe queen suite had ample space.
Room: Family suite is spacious but A/C took very long to warm up the room. Bathroom is open concept with clothing rack situated outside the shower closet which makes it inconvenient to dress/undress.
Breakfast buffet has a decent selection of Chinese dishes including a noodle station.
Location: Hotel is ＜10 min drive from train station and old town area which is quite convenient considering that most of the hotels that are walking distance from the old town are dated and undermaintained."

The day before yesterday, the handsome guy was very hospitable and went upstairs with his heavy luggage in one quick step.
The location of the B&B is very good, just a five-minute walk from the ancient street.
Convenient parking, directly at the door of the homestay, safe.
The bedding is comfortable and the environment is quiet.
The breakfast was very rich and the beauty took the initiative to ask about our needs.

"Nice hotel, right in the most attractive part of Taining town. It's a few minutes walk from the historic district, right on the river front. Easy access also to get to the natural scenic areas of the region. The hotel itself is nice, clean, well-maintained. The room is spacious and has modern features. The staff is very helpful, they do their best to accommodate a laowai customer. The only critique I have that is true for the vast majority of the hotels in China that the breakfast isn't exactly attractive for foreigners. One can of course eat Chinese breakfast with steamed buns and spicy soups and things like that most of the time, but occasionally I wouldn't mind to have a western style option available too. In a four star hotel I would expect this to be on the menu"

"We booked Taining Shangqinggu B&B on April 6. The boss was very warm and called in advance to ask what time to arrive. After we arrived, the boss came out to greet us and helped us with our luggage. The mood of entering the room was beautiful. The room was clean and warm. I also prepared small snacks and apples and Dahongpao tea. YYizhikukudexiaojiejieI chose this hotel after reading the reviews. It has a good location and is very close to the pier. It is very pleasant to take a walk by Dajin Lake in the evening, watch the sunset and enjoy the breeze. The B&B is very hygienic and spotlessly clean. I feel reassured. We later upgraded to a suite with tatami mats, and our children were particularly satisfied. The boss is enthusiastic and down-to-earth. He thinks about what we want. It feels very warm when we go out with the whole family. I asked the boss to arrange a dinner. I had one organic fish, two fish, and tofu. It tasted very good and the price was reasonable. I will stay here again when I have the chance next time👍🏻
