"Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they gave me a ground-floor room. I seriously suspect the housekeeping staff tampered with my foundation bottle. The cap was open, and a few drops had spilled out. The more I thought about it later, the more I realized it definitely wasn't my doing. If you're staying here, I'd recommend keeping your personal items locked in your luggage! The buffet restaurant's food was mediocre, but the coffee was decent."

"This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village. First of all, you have to be able to tolerate: 1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel. 2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide). 3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it. 4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel. 5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person... What did we get here? 1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am. 2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic. 3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic. 4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles. 5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay."

Old Cataract, Aswan, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s first property in Egypt. In the Nubian Desert on the banks of the Nile, opposite Elephantine Island, the majestic hotel sits on a pink granite cliff overlooking the world's longest river. This ravishing hotel with its legendary guest list of royals and dignitaries is both ideal for romantic getaways, and a perfect venue for small summits and corporate meetings. If you can tear yourself away from the beauty of the magnificent Old Cataract, Aswan, a world of fascination awaits you. Elephantine Island and the Aswan Museum are at your feet. The rock Tombs of Amarna, where ancient Egyptian nobles are buried, are close to the hotel. Aswan city centre is a stroll away. Other attractions to tempt you during your stay: the Nubian Museum, the Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk... then return to indulge in oriental cuisine and wines.

"The stretch of the Nile in Aswan is arguably the most beautiful, and the hotel's legendary status goes without saying, having inspired both the novel and film ”Death on the Nile.” The hotel has a very bright and airy feel overall, perhaps due to the intense sunshine outside; Aswan in September gets sun every day. The hotel itself is a special attraction. Security: Strict security at the entrance. The hotel truly feels like a world unto itself. Food: Breakfast has a good selection of cold dishes, and the service is excellent. The 1902 restaurant's style is a must-see. Room: Large balcony with views of the Nile and desert. The design features a distinct North African style. Service: I accidentally scalded myself with hot water in the evening, and the hotel promptly and professionally sent medicine twice, followed up on my condition, and offered further advice. It turned out that the medication and dressings provided by the hotel were the most suitable and highest quality for the rest of my trip. I sincerely thank all the staff who provided service. I believe one of the hallmarks of a truly 'good' hotel is its ability to handle customer emergencies like this. Thumbs up to the entire hotel. If you're not driving, exploring Aswan's attractions can be a bit challenging, but the hotel's concierge staff provides helpful advice. Overall, everything was excellent."

The Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Aswan will find that the Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only is a fantastic accommodation choice. With Aswan International Airport just 8km away and Aswan only 9km away, transportation is very convenient. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Temple d'Hathor, Porte d'Hadrien and Agilkia Island. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

"Benben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars? Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so. Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this. Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing."
