Hotel near Kowakidani/Miyanoshita,Hakone
If you have any food allergies, please contact the hotel at least 2 days prior to your check-in. "This hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from the Tenyu bus stop, accessible by Hakone's main bus lines, Z03 and J03. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a very stylish ambiance. The Japanese-style room, though not huge, was quite spacious and quiet. Despite checking in during February, the room's excellent insulation actually made it feel warm. The private open-air bath on the balcony was amazing; even with outside temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius, the continuous flow of 40-degree-plus hot spring water meant it was never cold. The hotel also offers outdoor public baths and a footbath. Plus, on the 5th floor lobby, there are two free ice cream machines – just ask the front desk for complimentary tokens to enjoy as much as you like – and a continuous supply of various iced teas. I must especially commend the dining experience; half-board (dinner and breakfast) is an absolute must! Upon check-in, the front desk proactively changed our two nights of shabu-shabu to one night of shabu-shabu and one night of kaiseki. Each dinner was a full course, incredibly delicious, and left us completely stuffed. For breakfast, there are two restaurants, and I highly recommend the buffet; the variety is extensive and far superior to the breakfast at the Imperial Hotel, which is often ranked as a top Tokyo dining spot on Ctrip. The hotel also hosts free evening performances, and you can even pay to release sky lanterns. Honestly, if I came to Hakone 100 times, I'd stay at Tenyu 100 times."

"Location is good and within 10 minutes drive from the Gotemba Premium Outlet. Hotel rooms are slightly dusty, but good for short stays especially after outlet visits :) Public hot springs are spacious and better than expected, with both indoors and outdoors available. Some rooms can see the Mount Fuji. Otherwise, 12/F is available for public access with a panorama view of Mount Fuji. Breakfast is also satisfying."

"🏔️✨【Hakone Indigo Hotel: A Dreamlike Mountain Retreat】 This was my first stay at Hakone Gōra Indigo, and I was truly rejuvenated by the ambiance. The hotel is nestled in a hot spring resort surrounded by mountains; opening the window reveals layers of greenery and distant clouds and mist, as beautiful as a painting. The room design is modern yet elegantly Japanese, and the open-air onsen was fantastic. The spring water was smooth and comforting, instantly washing away a day's fatigue. Breakfast was also incredibly impressive, using fresh local ingredients; you could feel the attention to detail even in the bread and juice. The staff were friendly and attentive, with every greeting feeling warm, making you feel right at home. The overall experience exceeded expectations, and it's worth revisiting, whether you're a couple, a family, or a solo traveler. 💛 The only thing worth mentioning is that the in-room onsen water seemed to be completely diluted; you could even call it a 'fake' onsen. It lacked the typical onsen smell and was essentially just hot water."

"Having visited Japan over ten times, this hotel was a huge disappointment 😞😞 **Service was completely subpar:** Throughout our stay, we encountered numerous service issues. For example, my passport was photocopied multiple times, and water wasn't proactively offered during meals. The most outrageous incident happened when we were about two kilometers up a mountain near the hotel. It was already dark, and the path back was a difficult winding trail. Feeling unsafe, we asked if the hotel could help call a taxi or provide a shuttle. They flat-out told us, ”We don't handle that; you can ask a roadside restaurant for help...” (The manager offered a verbal apology the next day 🙄). **Facilities:** The rooms are a bit old and maintenance is average, but they were clean enough. **Food:** If you stay for two consecutive days, the second day's breakfast and dinner are quite good. The first day's was not so great. **Onsen (Hot Springs):** All the hot springs are indoors; there's no real outdoor open-air bath. All the springs are quite small, but private baths are available at no extra charge. **Positives:** There are some complimentary beverages, Haagen-Dazs ice cream in the afternoon, and a selection of yukata (bathrobes) in different colors. Overall, it definitely doesn't justify the 6,000 yen per night price tag 😑"

"This hotel offers great value for money. It's my second time in Hakone, and compared to the hotels by Lake Ashi, this one feels much newer. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan, with a 1.5-meter bed and a 1.1-meter bed side-by-side. The toilet is separate from the shower, which is a wet/dry design. The view from the window is also lovely. The hot springs are on the sixth floor, featuring both outdoor mountain-view onsens and indoor ones. The outdoor area also has a single and a double private pool, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's pretty good. The breakfast and dinner are more Japanese style, with ramen, miso soup, sashimi, and sweet shrimp. The mattress in the room was really comfortable. All in all, a great stay. Right opposite the hotel is the Okada Museum of Art, which I highly recommend visiting, especially as a Chinese person. The first floor of the five-story museum is dedicated to Chinese porcelain from various dynasties, with the oldest being a green-glazed阁楼 (pavilion) from the 2nd-3rd century BC (Former Han Dynasty), standing about a meter tall. I won't say too much more, as photography of the artifacts is not allowed."

"Overall, it's a very good hotel. Although it's a bit old, it doesn't smell musty, but there's some moss in the hot springs. Breakfast is relatively early, so I recommend booking it with dinner when you arrive, rather than booking breakfast and dinner later, as it's very expensive. Overall, the experience was quite good. Transportation was a little inconvenient, requiring a taxi. Everything else was quite satisfactory."

"We were looking for onsen with private bath on the balcony and probably hit the sweet spot. Unfortunately we had only 1 night stay, but it was fantastic. Onsen is located at the top station Gora, where you can get from Odawara. That’s around 2 hours from Tokyo all together, around 3 hours from Kyoto. Last 2 sections of the way are going through a picturesque steep railway. Views are great! Be sure to rush to the front or back seats (doesn’t matter which) to secure a spot for nice photographs. Private bath is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious with a touch of ryokan style (tatami etc). That’s a perfect place to sit and relax doesn’t matter it’s sunshine or pooring rain outside. The food was fantastic (according to my wife), however the options are limited if you’re not eating fish or sea products due to allergy or other reasons. For Karaku team - I would suggest adding a signature wagyu set for those who would like something else. Selection of wine and alcohol drinks is superb. Free snacks and coffee are available till 8 p.m. as well with a view terrace. For those who like some regular conbini stuff - Lawson is around 10 mins walk with Miyazaki style trains passing by👌🏻 All in all, we wish we had stayed at least 2 nights as there are lots of activities around.  Thanks to Karaku staff for a warm welcome and tailored experience!"

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with my stay! The room was spotless – I'd give it 100 points if that were the max score. Both meals were incredibly delicious and plentiful, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing. The staff were very professional, and there was even a happy hour in the evening. This was by far my favorite hotel on this trip to Japan! Huge thanks to the staff for such a fantastic experience. I highly recommend everyone give it a try; you definitely won't be disappointed!

SSKYC🎉The hotel is located in Hakone Kowakidani. It was formerly a villa built by the Mitsui Zaibatsu during the Taisho period of Japan. The ancient building is a registered tangible cultural property of the Japanese state. It has now been transformed into a restaurant and lounge of Songcuiyuan. 🎈The hotel is in a Japanese garden style, surrounded by pine trees and bamboo forests, creating a quiet and secluded environment. It has 6 buildings, including 1 restaurant and bar, 1 front desk, hot spring, SPA, and 4 buildings with a total of 23 rooms. ‼ ️Each room has a private bath, the Minibar is full, except for champagne, all are free🆓, there are many hot spring drinks, which can quickly replenish electrolytes 💡It is said that the rooms are named after people, and these names are all nobles who have helped the owner of Fufu🎐 ♨️The public bath is small, with indoor➕outdoor➕sauna, few guests and good privacy👍 💆🏻♀️The cooperative SPA is Sisley, which is worth a try, the effect and experience are perfect🆙 🍱One night and two meals, there are Japanese and Western options, Japanese dinner is Kaiseki🍣, Western dinner is Teppanyaki🥩, the menu will be carefully designed for consecutive stays, and try to ensure that the dishes are different every day💯 Desserts were specially made for birthdays and photos were taken as souvenirs. They were given to us as gifts at breakfast the next day. It was very heartwarming. 🚗The hotel is conveniently located, with many attractions nearby. You can walk to the Okada Museum of Art, the Open-Air Museum, etc.

GGuest UserThe hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. CCat on the logThe place looks like the pictures. It’s about 20 mins away by bus from the hakoneyumoto station. We used the baggage delivery service at the train station (1000 yen per piece for regular size baggage) and when we checked in, our bags were in the room already. The staff is very nice and helpful. We’re thankful for the shuttle to the nearby bus station. The food is great. The onsen is very relaxing. We had a great time at this place. Definitely will stay again when I visit Hakone.

GGuest UserThis hotel is really great, and the view from the window is absolutely stunning – I had a super comfortable stay! It's perfect for unwinding after a day trip to Hakone, and then enjoying some drinks in the evening. The minibar is well-stocked. My only minor complaint is that early check-in isn't possible, and there's no luggage storage on-site. If you need to store your bags, you can use the paid lockers at the nearby station.

XXiaopangxieStayed at gen fufu. This hotel is the last one in Hakone. Fortunately, it is the last one because it is a bit far from the attractions in Hakone. Although it is only 10 kilometers, the transportation in Hakone is not convenient. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain. The bed is a bit too soft. The bathroom is stuffy because there is no ventilation. The temperature of the hot spring is high. There are water droplets on the entire bathroom wall. Overall, if this hotel is located in the city center, it can be considered. The breakfast is Western, but the taste is very ordinary. Although the dinner is a one-star Michelin hotel, it is still a little disappointing. The only classics nearby are the reed marshes and the Hakone Nemoto Hot Spring Town. Friends who come to Hakone for the first time should stay near Gora.

XXiaopangxiePros: The terrace is very photogenic! The hotel is bright and spacious. It was my first time in Hakone. I could see a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room was beautiful when I took photos. The facilities and equipment were relatively new. The highlight was the cafe in the lobby. There were a lot of coffee, tea, drinks, and wine for free. The juice was very delicious. The oat milk was also organic. Unlike other hotels, the refrigerator only had a few bottles of drinks. Disadvantages: 1. The hot spring pool was not clean enough. Many places were yellow or moldy and not cleaned. 2. The hot spring was not constant temperature. It was very troublesome to add water by yourself. 3. In addition, the room was actually quite cramped. It was not as big as it looked. The toilet was very small. 4. The bed and bedding were really uncomfortable. The pillow was very small and the quilt was a bit short... 5. The partitions of the hotel were all made of stone. They were very hard. In addition, the room was not big. My friend's hand was scratched. 5. The food was really not delicious... too Japanese. Many things were very rigid. You must eat breakfast at 8:30. The waiter would go into the room and turn on the lights regardless of whether you were sleeping or not. When you took a nap, he would knock on the door repeatedly to confirm all your itineraries for the day. Time: departure time, use shuttle time If you can't confirm, just keep asking...
