Xichang Beach Hotels

"My grandson declared before his school even broke up that he wanted to go on a trip with his grandparents during the summer holiday. To fulfill his request, we thought long and hard and decided on a relaxing few days in Xichang, which boasts the lakeside Qionghai and Lushan Mountain, a pleasant climate that's warm in winter and cool in summer, and even a Space City experience that kids love… I compared two hotels on Trip.com that were closest to Qionghai Lake (Qionghai Hotel and Qionghai Bay Park Hyatt Hotel), both old five-star establishments. After careful consideration, I booked a main building lake-view twin room at Qionghai Bay Park Hyatt Hotel for four nights and five days (July 3rd to 7th). After school finished, my grandson, my wife, and I traveled from Chengdu East to Xichang West by high-speed train, a 3.5-hour journey. We picked up the rental car my son booked on Trip.com and drove to Qionghai Bay Park Hyatt Hotel by Qionghai Lake, beginning our 5-day trip to Xichang… We stayed at the Park Hyatt for 5 days and 4 nights and also visited Qionghai Hotel. Firstly, I much preferred the ambiance of the Park Hyatt Hotel. Although Qionghai Hotel has a larger area and lovely greenery, and even peacocks roaming the grounds, its location closer to the city center makes it a bit more bustling compared to the tranquil atmosphere of the Park Hyatt. The water quality of Qionghai Lake in general is also inferior to the section by the Park Hyatt. The coastline here is more pristine and natural, with lush trees swaying in the breeze. Strolling through the woods and along the sandy beach, playing in the shallow water, taking a nap, jogging or cycling on the path, and swimming in the pool – it’s all much more enjoyable! Secondly, while Qionghai Hotel's architecture is indeed stylish and grand, I personally prefer the Southeast Asian style of the Park Hyatt Hotel, which is tucked away in the woods by Qionghai Bay, intermittently revealing a seaside vibe around the lake… No more rambling, let's get to the practical points: First, although the hotel has been open for over a decade, the architecture and facilities are well-maintained. The room facilities don't look old at all, and the Southeast Asian-style ceiling fan is convenient and comfortable to use. Second, the service attitude and cleanliness are thorough and responsible. Third, the breakfast is rich, healthy, and hygienic. Fourth, the pool water is clean. Overall, staying at the Park Hyatt Hotel with my grandson for 5 days and 4 nights was a good experience, and I discussed the few minor issues with the front desk."

The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and was delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience, I would definitely choose this place again!"

"The room was spacious and clean, and the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the sunshine in the morning was such a treat! The hotel itself is very photogenic, and the location is unbeatable. The Fishing Village and various shops are just a few minutes' walk away on either side. Strolling along the boardwalk at dawn, waiting for the sunrise, was incredibly relaxing. The food was also quite good. I highly recommend choosing a room in the Ocean View building here; sitting on the balcony sofa and soaking up the sun made me not even want to leave the room."

"It is very convenient to take the children to play on the beach. It is very good in all aspects. Grandpa Zhou is very enthusiastic. We didn’t know that we could eat with them at the beginning. We also ran to Xiaoyu Village to eat. The result was not delicious. There was no delicious food at home, especially the special rice noodles. The vegetables were grown in Grandpa Zhou’s own field. The chicken soup is made by my own chicken. Our boss soup is finished. It is much better than the net red shop we went to find. The children especially like to eat it. They also like to listen to Grandpa Zhou's story. They say that they will come here next time. I have a chance to play here for a few days. I don’t have to run around. It’s very convenient to eat and live together!"

"説實在的，預訂的時候看到這個開業時間心裏還是有點糾結，但是考慮到老酒店房間面積大，配套足，主要靠邛海近，還是想着試試吧，大不了取消了重新定！但是到酒店真心很滿意，首先房間不是特別新但是配套還在，設施設備還很齊全，看上去也不陳舊，還有一個小陽台，很贊！ 其次説服務，必須給那個前台羅阿甲和盧飛點個贊，建議酒店領導重點表揚，因為我出去吃飯手機沒電了，所以掃了一個充電寶是咻電品牌，不是**的，回到酒店沒辦法歸還，前台小夥子知道了之後非常熱情的幫我聯繫各個崗點問問有沒有可以歸還的機器，得知沒有之後又給我借了一個酒店的騎行車，讓我騎車回去還充電寶，來去3公里距離，真心不知道如果沒有這個車要把我走成啥樣！！！就沖這個服務，必須安利一下，不愧是當地最好的酒店，贊贊贊，以後衹住你們家！"

The front desk lady upgraded the room type, the suite is very comfortable, the room is big enough, there is a balcony, dry and wet separation, especially the rocking chair, very comfortable. The toiletries are disposable. We both drink tea and put more water for us. There are 2 sinks, which are convenient to use. Breakfast is ok. The only downside is the smart toilet, which is noisy. I asked the front desk, that's it, okay, I can bear it. The toilet paper is good. Overall good."

"Good location, there are many restaurants downstairs, there are many car rental shops, suitable for tourists who plan to ride, opposite the Aerospace Avenue is Wanda, the room is not cold, no need to turn on the air conditioner. Beyond Huanhu North Road is Xingyue Lake Park, you can drink tea and bask in the sun. There is a large platform on the third floor, it seems that each building is connected, too lazy to walk to make a cup of tea on the third floor for a long time"

"🌊The hotel I stayed at on this trip was simply my dream seaside utopia! Stepping into the hotel area, the modern, minimalist white buildings shimmered in the sunlight, creating a picturesque scene against the backdrop of the clear blue sky and azure sea.
