Hotel Collingwood, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is one of Bournemouth's three star hotels - not least for its lovely seaside location just only a short walk to the beach - and our cosmopolitan town centre. As a family run hotel, we can offer an exceptionally high standard of service, as well as comfy-cosy rooms which have their own distinctive style and are all furnished and equipped with individual heating controls, direct dial telephone, digital freeview TV, tea / coffee facilities. We also offer top drawer entertainment on most evenings throughout the year. Each live cabaret is unique, whether you want to dance the night away or just listen, all tastes of music are catered for.

"The welcome during check-in needs to be reviewed. I didn't have breakfast, only dinner. A fruitless discussion began, and the receptionist actually noted that there was no breakfast, but only dinner... No one explained how the hotel worked, where the restaurant was for dinner, and I just asked what time it was. I felt out of place. I had two bags upon arrival, I struggled to get in, and no one was there to help... My English wasn't great, but I made the effort to communicate. On the other hand, the waiters in the evening restaurant were kind, pleasant, and attentive. Bravo! Check-out was much better, and they were understanding. Nothing to complain about. They always had a smile. The hotel is very clean, nothing to complain about."

"This is my second stay at this hotel. I am a professional dancer and every year there is a major competition held in Bournemouth, and to be honest, Hilton is one of the most closest hotels to the place of competition, which was the main reason to stay there. But, as last year, as this year, the stay didn’t leave a good impression. Last year my Gucci T-shirt was stolen by the housekeepers (it was lying in my suitcase) and the hotel didn’t compensate it in any way. This year, while doing the check-out, the lady at the reception wanted to charge extra money from me. I had breakfasts included, but she told me the opposite was showing in her screen. When I asked her to show her screen, she refused, saying that “oh it’s a mistake, sorry”. Then she said that I have other things to pay and I couldn’t understand what, as we never ate at the hotel during the day, didn’t use mini bar (which wasn’t even filled up), didn’t use spa, basically nothing. She was trying to find out what shall I pay for about 10 minutes. When I told her I’m late to the airport, she said everything is fine and I can go.  These situations with payments and money completely ruined everything and my opinion about the hotel. I won’t come back for sure. About the food: there is basically nothing to eat. Sausages, bacon, eggs, harshbrowns, beans and some vegetables which look green.  Service: cleaning may be way better. We had plenty of trash in our room such as bottles, cans, empty bags which have been with us for the whole week of our stay and were never thrown away. The first few days the towels were changed, while after that they weren’t even lifted up from the floor. I was staying with my friend and we occasionally ordered food. I have asked at the reception for two forks four times, but I was totally ignored. On the 5th time, when I was screaming, they finally brought the forks. Same with glasses: I’ve asked for 4 glasses, but have never seen them)) The overall feeling of the stay is absolutely negative, as it’s basically just a place for sleep without any good services. For the money it costs it’s absolutely not worth it."

"We stayed here as a couple and had a mixed experience. The hotel has its charms, but also a few drawbacks. Rooms & Amenities: The rooms were quite small and felt congested, including the toilet where the commode placement was very cramped. The amenities provided were basic — just soap and a combined hair and body wash. Surprisingly, there was no handwash, no refrigerator, and no hair dryer in the room. On the plus side, the room was clean, and we had no issues with hygiene. Staff & Service: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. Facilities & Atmosphere: The swimming pool was lovely, and the view from the poolside was amazing, directly overlooking the sea. The lounge area shared the same beautiful view — a great spot to relax in the evening. There was even a small jewelry corner inside the hotel, so beware — you might end up buying a ring or necklace if your partner starts browsing! Other Notes: The lift was possibly the oldest I've ever used — it really felt like stepping back into the 90s, which in a way added some quirky character to the place. Food: The full English breakfast was genuinely very good — one of the highlights of our stay. Overall Value: The pricing was reasonable, but for better value, it would be great if they included essentials like a refrigerator, handwash, and hair dryer in the rooms."

"This should be the best hotel in Bournemouth, right? The views and location are amazing, absolutely nothing to complain about there. Now for my gripes: 1. At check-in, they didn't even mention that toiletries and slippers needed to be requested. I got into the room and there was nothing. I had to ask specifically before they'd tell me. Although they did provide them later, why can't they proactively inform guests at check-in that these aren't automatically provided and need to be requested if desired? 2. The breakfast selection is pitifully small, and the person making eggs often walks away for extended periods. There's already so little to eat, and then you have to wait for them... Other than that, there's nothing else to report – nothing particularly good, nothing particularly bad."

"Great location for daytime but not so much for night. Very noisy outside until at least 3am. We had a family room and it was excellent. Loads of space in the main bedroom and then a separate bedroom with two single beds. Beds were really comfortable. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was buffet style. Large selection available and it was very good. The car parking at the hotel wasn’t great. We had to drop our cases then find alternative parking. This was not easy as all nearby car parks were full - cheerleading competition on at BIC. We really enjoyed our stay and would return."

"Stunning hotel, great location. Everything was fantastic. Small thing is room 109 has a small frosted window with no view. When opening it opens to a dirty mucky roof. We did not leave it open as vermin might enter the room. We also mentioned it was a 40th bday but no extras not even a note."

Blakes, our fine dining restaurant headed by Chef Ben Nicol, so you can be assured you’re in the very best of hands. Ongoing building work next door – possible noise // work to take approx. 2 years

"We specifically booked this hotel for our anniversary and they decorated the bed with petals which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very nice but the rooms were a bit outdated and the toilet was dirty. There were quite a few downsides which did ruin our short stay. We booked this hotel specifically for the spa facilities mainly the jacuzzi pool but this was out of order before we got there and we were not informed of this otherwise we would’ve booked elsewhere and it wasn’t fixed for our entire stay. Swimming pool was decent but not the cleanest as i felt dirt on pool floor. On our last night we ran out of water and my wife is pregnant so i went to the night porter and asked for a bottle of water which they provide complimentary daily but he said he couldn't give me one and he could sell one from the bar, which i found ridiculous. The room didnt have a fridge so we couldnt buy any water and keep it cool. Parking was £10 a day which I believe should be included in the stay. Hotel staff were friendly other than that but I would probably look elsewhere next time. For the price we paid I did expect a lot more from the hotel."

The Park Inn offers beautiful vistas and on a clear day you can easily see the Needles on the Isle of Wight and Old Harry’s Rocks over in the Purbecks. The hotel is just a short walk to the shops and variety of seaside attractions and is set in a great location for you to explore the surrounding area. Dinner can be enjoyed in the comfortable restaurant and guests can also benefit from outside terrace and swimming pool.

"Very nice hotel for its price. Quick access to the beach. Doesn’t have AC but has fans in each room which do the job. Staff are excellent, great service by the team. Got us everything we needed. Costs to park at the hotel. Cheaper to park on the main road which is free between 5pm and 9am and free on the weekends. Very close to Bournemouth pier and boscombe pier. Has everything you need otherwise. Lift is a little small but works well. Close to everything. Cant complain."

TthelivingbeingtravellerI book this hotel for one night great location. The receptionist she was welcoming. When we got to the room that we were staying for the night. First impression was clean and tidy. However the room was smelly as you entered with the one and only small window was open in the room. The bathroom was for designed for disabled use really. I will list the pro's and cons. Pro's The room was a good size for our needs two single and it had a TV that you could watch ”the news” on a channel. The kettle was clean and tea, coffee, sugar was in a bag if you wanted to make a tea with two cups no bottled water provide (but selling for £2 for 500ml at the entrance of the hotel). The wallrobe had hangers and a hair dyer if you needed it. The pillows were nice and the mattress was comfortable. The con's One of the beds had other people's hair in the sheets and on top of the duvet. The ceiling and a long legged spider with cobwebs hanging down from above were the TV is. The walls in the room had stains down the wall it was dusty in places. The walls had noticeable cracks in different parts of the wall, the furnitures are old and tired including the picture frame. The bathroom door was dirty from all the touching to open and close it. I am not sure how a disabled person are able to use the toilet effectively. Because the ”tiny” face basin was so close to the toilet it was not practical to be that close and I am not disabled. It had so many hand railings why was the basin so close and very low to the point were it was awkward for us to wash our faces etc and the floor was in a mess afterwards . there is a glass shelf with two small glass cups that was over the face basin which is simple not safe or practical because you will sit your face or eyes if your not careful when using the face basin. The extractor fan does not work when the light is on and no button to press it separately. But the only small top widow was open for any steam or smell to leave the bathroom. The hot water system made a lot of noise when turning on. Making it hard for anyone to use it without the whole or half of the hotel hearing it that how loud it was to us. The bath was clean however there was mold all over on the wall tiles the shower curtain was short and not fitting for that bath. The toilet papers that was provided was a very very cheap small rolls. There was three one screwed (toilet roller) on to the small face basin that got soaked when you use the face basin. And the other two was on top of the toilet with used tissue in one of them. Both windows in bedroom and bathroom was not dusted. Our biggest problem was someone who was on the same floor sounds like they were nextdoor. They kept coming and going and each time they open and close their door it caused our door to shake and bang because was door is not fitted correctly and full of gaps and so the wind and the force of the moving door as cause ours to make all that noise. We didn't have a good sleep because of the above and the live entertainment went on late also which could be heard as we were on the ground floor also. The room is not what I would class as a lovely room it's very basic old, tired not very appealing the walls and the bathroom needs refurbishment and the heating system needs serious attention. When we checked out the lady was pleasant when the card was returned. The guess with me she was not happy and felt that in her words she would not want to stay at another hotel because it was not comfortable during her stay. I would not have wanted to pay the full price if I was not getting the discount from my app. But even at that price that I paid it's not worth the money. Overall I was not happy but we needed to have somewhere to sleep and it provided us that.

GGuest UserBooked as a last minute, lovely hotel.. Reception staff could not of been more helpful. We got upgraded to a sea view, and the room was spacious & lovely. .. there’s a lovely grandness to the hotel , so I felt sad that the smallest of Maintenon job that I noticed let it down, for example , the conference room opposite the reception curtain we’re hanging off it’s rail. So simple to rectify I’m sure. Bar drinks, VERY overly priced . Didn’t use the Spa as closed at 6pm . I would return to this hotel., as stated the reception ladies were smiley, & helpful.

HHaohanxingchenzhifuI have lived a few times because of the location. Stayed for 11 nights this time, the longest time Room size is small Breakfast is so-so Catch up with the elevator maintenance for three months. It takes a lot of effort to carry the big suitcase upstairs. The room is just above the restaurant, every night the music collapses to 9:30 after, affecting sleep...
