"The service was incredibly thoughtful! I had an overnight bus on my second day, and they extended my check-out time to 7 PM. The lady who spoke Chinese kept asking me how late I needed to extend, but I was too shy to ask for too much, only mentioning my travel plans. I was already happy thinking I could extend to 2-3 PM, but they let me stay until 7 PM! I even got to have a nap after using the pool in the afternoon, which was perfect for preparing for the long journey ahead. I'm so grateful!
It was the same Chinese-speaking lady who, noticing bruises on my arm, discreetly asked me if I needed help when my friend wasn't around, confirming twice. I truly felt such heartfelt care and human kindness.
The outdoor pool on the first floor has an absolutely stunning design and a real resort vibe! While swimming, staff even brought us iced water, cold towels, and matcha milk-flavored popsicles!
Before check-in, there's a complimentary 5-minute shoulder and neck spa. There's also a breakfast market where you can experience local culture for free, like folding lotus flowers and making clay elephants. They also sell handmade crafts at reasonable prices and good quality, much better than the markets outside. Some of the vendors are deaf and mute. In the evening, there's a bedtime ritual and a turndown service that comes to your room, leaving a small card with a bedtime story featuring local customs.
I have a habit of collecting key cards. When I asked before leaving, they gave me an extra key card with a tuk-tuk design, in addition to the one with Angkor Wat. It's a lovely souvenir.
As a tourist, I wouldn't have been able to experience all of this if I hadn't stayed at Park Hyatt, so staying there in Siem Reap was incredibly worthwhile, especially at a price of 900+ per night, which is really affordable."
