"The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. There are 2 swimming pools available which is great. Restaurant’s food is amazing too!
However, it seemed like the hotel was understaffed. We arrived around 11:30am, but since the check-in is strictly at 2pm, we went for lunch at the restaurant first. However, when we came back at 2pm, they made us wait for another 30mins because there was only 1 receptionist and it took her a long time to process the family ahead of us. Housekeeping also came late even if we put up the “makeup room” sign before we left for our tour. When we came back at 4pm, our room was still untouched, and the housekeeping only arrived at 5:30pm. Soundproofing was also not as good. We could hear our neighbor upstairs moving the furniture at 4am."

• For Business Trips: Excellent Wi-Fi and work desks in the room, so you can pretend to be productive while secretly plotting your next island hop. The staff is so accommodating, they'd probably attend your conference call if you asked.
Bottom Line: A jungle-chic corporate retreat where you finally figure out the difference between a work trip and a vacation. (There is none, it's just a nicer pool.) Roaring good time! 🦁💼😎"

"We recently stayed at this resort hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the amenities—from the pool to the common areas—were impressive and well-maintained.
However, we were quite disappointed to return to our room after housekeeping had been in, only to find the door left open. This raised serious concerns about security and left us feeling uneasy. Thankfully, nothing was missing, but it’s something management should seriously look into.
Also, while the breakfast buffet was decent, the variety was limited. For a resort of this caliber, we expected more options to choose from.
In summary, it’s a nice place with great staff and facilities, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to security and food offerings."

"Had a great experience in Astoria. Was welcomed by their friendly and helpful staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and everyone is willing to help may it be with queries or directions and even with taking your great photos in the resort. The rooms were clean, and homey. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and table wares for when you order room service. The resort has great amenities and you will not get bored with activities you can do during your stay. Their breakfast buffet is something we look forward to every morning. They serve delicious and freshly cooked food. They have fast and reliable WiFi for those who work on the go. "We stayed at Microtel by Wyndham Puerto Princesa for just one night, booking five rooms for a quick family staycation. At first, we were a bit skeptical due to some mixed reviews online, but we were pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience turned out to be!
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with shell necklaces, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The rooms were spacious and clean, giving us plenty of space to relax. The kids especially enjoyed the pool—while it’s not very large, it was more than enough for them to have fun.
The beachfront is beautiful—perfect for photo ops and water activities, though perhaps not ideal for swimming. Still, it adds a charming touch to the resort’s peaceful ambiance.
A few areas could use some improvement:
• The TVs are a bit outdated—an upgrade to smart TVs would enhance the guest experience.
• The window-type air conditioners, while functional, can be a bit noisy.
• Some furniture and room details could benefit from light touch-ups to maintain a fresher look.
As for the restaurant (operated by a concessioner), the breakfast was decent—nothing fancy, but enough to start the day.

"What a stay! The staff are so unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Upon arrival you’re greeted by happy members of staff and a welcome drink. Although they give you lots of information at the beginning they helpfully provide an A4 piece of paper with it all on afterwards so you don’t forget.
After quite a disastrous day of travel for us, all of it was forgotten thanks to the staff and beautifulness of the hotel. They were also the only hotel we stayed at (we’ve stayed at many while travelling around Philippines) that acknowledged and cared about the fact it was our honeymoon.
They also assisted with our booking of taxis and the underground river tour (highly recommend!). On the beach they also offer free kayak hire for guests.

"We're really grateful for an excellent holiday experience here. The politeness is out of this world.
Right from the beginning exchanging emails, organising airport transfer and birthday congratulations. Every enquiry was fulfilled.
The check-in was fast and with welcome drinks. The room was complementary upgraded by the hotel.
The room is spacious, modern and light.
The territory is big and quiet. The swimming pool is huge.
The food is delicious and various.
But there are some drawbacks:
- the restaurant service is too slow (50 min of waiting for the dinner)
- the room cleaning is not up to standard (dusty floor and need to ask to refill body wash and shampoo)
- there are not umbrellas and only three gazebos on the beach
- there are not enough umbrellas at the pool
Hope the abovementioned disadvantages will be fixed.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend the hotel 👍🏼"

"This hotel was our first introduction to the Philippine islands. We specifically chose it because it's conveniently located for trips to see dugongs and turtles in the ocean, and it totally paid off. The excursion was simply excellent. Even though a typhoon had passed through the island just a few days before our arrival, we were met with a clean hotel. They had managed to get it almost completely back in order. The beach area was leveled and cleared. There's a long jetty for swimming.
We were checked into a spacious room with an ocean view. Big props to the hotel staff for their eagerness to please us. They gave us a free early check-in since we arrived around 9 AM. Near the hotel, there's a small village where you can buy alcohol, fruits, and snacks, but the best part is the magnificent nature of this place. We were simply charmed.
In the evening, after returning from a walk, we saw that a candlelit dinner table had been specially set up for us on the oceanfront. We were served a very delicious dinner and had a wonderful evening. On the day of our departure, we were unexpectedly told that we would be transferred to our next hotel on the island free of charge. You don't often encounter such attentiveness, and it was a very pleasant surprise. We would have gladly stayed longer in this lovely place to enjoy its hospitality and incredible local scenery, and to visit the safari park. Definitely recommend!"

"My husband and I stayed in one of the little huts with our own deck. It was so nice to relax in the hammock. Everything was clean and the staff were very quick to help if you needed something. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The food was delicious and they were able to make vegan for me. We walked down to the beach and back which I enjoyed because it was good exercise. The walk to the beach can be steep at times so wouldn't be good for someone with mobility issues. We loved it here and would definitely go back and recommend it to our friends. "

KKarimHMy stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support.
The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island.
The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Thank you for an exceptional stay!

TToddSpectacular, beautiful resort! Sorry I didn't have a date since this is truly a couples place. But I did enjoy the solitude, perfect beach and included snorkeling, and double bed hut right on the sand with wifi! Food is better than average for Philippines. Not sure how they even get the food here or how they could have built such a nice place on a deserted island (20 min boat ride from Basuanga airport after short van xfer). Beware there are a few thousand bats if you're in the main hotel and at dusk they kinda go nuts flying around...

As nice as the location is and understanding that they need to have a own power and water plant, complex logistics, it is in my personal opinion heavily overpriced. Breakfast and food quality in general is nothing special, but priced as 5 Star resort in the Maldives, where you are pampered like a king/queen.
A boats trip for 500€ with a ham and cheese toast and on a wooden junk cutter is just not worth, as nice as all staff is.
I enjoyed the time, but would not repeat it. There are much better value for money offers in this luxury category.

Ggibo_27Hotel is surprisingly great for its price! With just some few bucks to add vs the usual lodge/backpacker rates, you will get far superior amenities, room size and service as a whole. The hotel owner is the same with Zuri Resort by the bay, and the adjacent Westown Lagoon.
Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Hotel facade, pool and bar and restaraunt are also great. They got three or four pools. The rooms are okay, not as pleasant as the hotel facade but still are in good condition and still comfortable.
The only downside would be the location, its 5-6km away from the town proper - will take around 10mins via tuktuk/tricyle. Bfast buffet is just okay. Not a lot of choices but still good.
Overall, still a good experience for the price.

FFulgencio Pollocation is perfect just few block for a market and walking distance to the marina we're the boats for excursion is dock and load. The hotel accomodations is just basic small bed low and very thin mattress, pillow and blanket is excellent soft, water supply is abundant although electricity us intermitent on and off, our aircondition unit has been affected that doesn't giving cold air glad it was just out last night. pool is beautiful and cleaned , food for breakfast is superb better and giid quality selection. the staff are very polite and respectful, very helpful and get job done as much as possible, they pack a sandwich breakfast for us as we have early trip to El Nido that was very nice if rhem. The water supply is not drinkable so they provide bottled water and you can ask for a refill. They will give you a welcome drink of a fruit drink. This is really a good location, my only dislike is the bed, as it's very small when they say twin bed it is a twin bed, other than that it's ok. Yes its more pricey compare to the sorrounding hotel but the food and pool are the best.

GGuest UserThe resort is remote but it has spectacular views of a tranquil bay. The infinity pool looks out to it and surrounding islands. We upgraded to a bay view bungalow which is much nicer than the cheaper waterfront room. The food is very good and the service is even better. The island hopping tours are great. The gym is very small though if you are into fitness. There is no beach. Other than that, it is a great resort. Quiet and peaceful.

CChristian_603The hotel is located in the middle of the route to the beaches of El Nido, it is very convenient. In front there is a direct pass to the beach and a very good restaurant with international and local food at affordable prices. Each floor has a free-to-use seating area with coffee and hot water to chat with friends. Smoking is not allowed inside the hotel, a constant in many hotels in El Nido.
The bathroom facilities are a bit rustic, old and the water of poor quality at night (yellow color) but the water pressure and the shower with hot water were no problem.
In the mornings there is a bustle of animals, roosters and chickens and singing birds. If you are not fussy about these details and are looking for a comfortable hotel, this is the place.
Detail, there is no elevator. If you have a lot of suitcases it can be difficult but the service guys will help you load them.
Rooms facing the street are the best, with a balcony and table and chairs for conversation.

LLallyBeautiful resort very far from everything (90 minute ride from airport). Welcoming at this resort was unlike any other in the world. Just amazing staff. Room was what you’d expect in a motel not a resort. The bathroom could fit one person at a time. They do have some newer rooms that probably are much nicer. Driver took us on a trip to local waterfalls which was perfect. If you want to relax and be surrounded by amazing staff this resort is perfect.
