"Everything about the hostel is good. The only downside is that a water tap in a toilet needs to be repaired."

"I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned."

"This hotel is really, really great, I loved it! Even though I stayed in a shared four-person room, it didn't bother me at all because almost every day (from morning till evening) we were out on excursions or somewhere else. The staff are friendly and caring, rooms are cleaned daily, and the showers and toilets are communal (but there are also a few separate stalls just for women). The breakfasts are delicious and varied – I would fly back to the Philippines again just for these breakfasts! Because here, I only had truly good food three times: first in Cebu, second at the hotel's breakfast, and third at an Italian restaurant in El Nido, that's it! In the shared room, you get a towel, a locker with a lock, and a large bed (unlike other similar hotels). I'm thrilled!"

"A stunning hostel. The best of the 5 in which I lived in the Philippines. All fresh, clean. There is a place on the balcony to dry things. There are boxes with keys to close things. Minus was-not working a roast.organized me a transfer to the airport-250 peso. Location next to the streets with cafes and restaurants. On the other side of the cafe with dessert pp. Girls are very kind and cute. Towels are. Fen is not."

Location is another big plus—right in the heart of town, close to the beach, shops, and nightlife, yet still relaxed enough to enjoy downtime. What really sets this hostel apart is the sense of community. It feels more like staying with friends than just booking a bed. For budget-conscious travelers who want both comfort and connection, Happiness Hostel is a perfect choice."

"It's not a bad place. Unfortunately, some travelers are pigs and must think the staff is there to clean up after them. There is no need to leave empty shampoo bottles in the shower or less at all. People come g in late at night, waking people up with their talking and just being loud. No respect for others."

"This is a newly opened guesthouse, very new and clean. The floor is shiny, and there are pots, pans, and other tableware, as well as rice. It felt very warm and homey. Thank you to the host. The guesthouse staff are very gentle and humble. They are always responsive and reliable. This time, I accidentally burned a pot a little. I told the staff, and they were prepared to pay for it, but they were very forgiving. Thank you again. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance. It's very close to the main street, and the host is very kind and a believer. May God bless them greatly."
