Sticking to my principle of 'new over old,' I ultimately chose this hotel in the city center. 'The Nest,' newly opened in 2025, cost only 1700+ for 3 nights during the off-peak season – incredible value for money!

📍 **Location**
It's about an 18-minute walk to Kokusai Dori, and roughly a 5-minute walk to Asahibashi monorail station. Naha Bus Terminal is about a 10-minute walk away. The transportation is very convenient, which is a huge plus for us since we couldn't drive.

🛌 **Room Amenities**
We booked a triple room. One of the beds was a sofa bed, allowing two adults and one child to sleep undisturbed. The bathroom had a three-way separation design with a shower area – it was my first time staying in a Japanese hotel without a bathtub! 😂 The room's downsides were, firstly, no wardrobe, just a hanging rack, and secondly, only a small coffee table, so storage space was very limited.

🏊 **Hotel Facilities**
There's an open-air swimming pool on the hotel's top floor, with drinks offered at specific times. It was too cold for us to try it out, but it seems many people choose this hotel specifically for the pool.

🧩 **Nearby Facilities**
There are three convenience stores nearby – Lawson and 7-Eleven – making it very convenient to stock up on snacks. The famous Jack's Steak House is also in the vicinity.

📝 **Other Notes**
When checking in, they provided amenities for children (toothbrush, toothpaste, and a scrubbing sponge 🧽). We stayed for three nights in total, and housekeeping services were not provided for those three nights. Every day before heading out, we'd leave our trash and used towels outside our door for collection. When we returned, fresh towels and water would be waiting for us at the door.

It's just a weird stay. Overall good, but the service especially is inconsistent - the younger staff had the worst Gen Z stare I've ever come across (coming from a Gen Z myself), just stared blankly at customers with no greetings, and overall seemed very confused on what they needed to do. I think they needed some training. The older staff on the other hand are quite nice and efficient.

Also confused on the amenities provided - stayed for 4 nights; the first 2 nights had no water in room so I just bought from the hotel's own vending machine - but on the 3rd night they started providing bottled water in room. This goes back to the untrained front desk staff - they gave no explanation on what's provided and what's not.

This overall limbo and confusion lasts until check out - when I handed the room key back they just stood like O_O. Nothing said - not ”ok, check out done” or even ”finish”. I had to be the one to ask - so is that all? No other charges?

Please please train your front desk.

The hotel’s location is excellent. It’s a 4-minute walk from the monorail station. 
The room was on the 8th floor, with a view of the surrounding area.
The room itself could be extended, with an additional door leading to the neighbouring room.
Towels are changed every day, and bottled water is provided daily as well.
Breakfasts are just right.
The only drawback is the position of the toilet – it’s too close to the wall, and your thigh ends up pressing against the toilet roll.

We stayed there for 4 nights and it was a very nice experience. The beds were comfy and they also gave us 3 pillows so we were able to make one of them a plushie. The shower room is always squeaky clean and the receptionist were so kind and friendly too. The breakfast is a little Japanese style so if you are used to American style, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you want to try Natto and Soba, don't bother going else, it's included in the hotel's breakfast menu. The location is very close to the airport and just 12 minutes away from the station, so the location is superb, not to mention if you rent a car, there are several parking lots in the area too.

Lovely stay in Hiroshima. It’s only a few stops away from the main train station and offers breakfast for free in the main floor (7-10am) which was very convenient. The rooms felt spacious after tokyo and the beds were confortable. Recommendable if you are staying more than one night or plan on having a late night around nakaregawa dori.

This was my second stay at The Next Hotel. They have two locations in Hiroshima, and I've stayed at both. I definitely prefer this one over the one closer to the city center. The service here is excellent, and the staff are really friendly. They even provide a BALMUDA pour-over kettle, which shows they really put thought into their amenities. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast because I overslept. Overall, it's a really great hotel.

This hotel offers a fantastic overall experience. Its convenient location makes getting around and finding places to eat incredibly easy. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a very peaceful night's rest. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out efficient. Housekeeping was thorough, and the facilities were well-maintained, offering great value for money. It's a generally quiet and cozy place to stay, and I felt very comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone traveling.

The room truly lived up to its description. Though compact, it was fully equipped and even offered twin beds. For two travelers preferring separate beds, this is an excellent choice. Its proximity to Tokyo Station is a major plus, and Nihonbashi subway station is also a convenient short walk away. My only minor issue was finding it initially. If you don't mind a walk, it's incredibly convenient for early morning departures from Tokyo Station, whether you're catching a flight or a train. Hotels right next to Tokyo Station typically cost more, and I've experienced those options too.
